I and my family were really fully satified and pleased concering location (directly in the centre of the city) and as well concering equipment. I have no idea what additionally can be implemented - simply to say it was more than complete, new, functional and working without any problems. The lessor was friendly, always available if necessary and concered about us. I would go there everytime again and mentioned already to friends, if they ever want to go to rome - they should ask me for that adress.

Our stay in Rome at Silvio's flat was absolutely perfect! Once we connected with Silvio on The Homeaway website from the US, Silvio kept in constant contact with us. We spent 22 days in Europe and this flat was our very best experience! It was new, beautiful, tastefully decorated, quaint, and contained everything one could possibly need (all kitchen tools, iron, washer, drying rack, computer, access to Internet, books, etc.). It had an absolutely lovely living room, kitchen, bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom with a wonderful bed. This flat was in a majestic building, in a very safe area with a beautiful courtyard, a cozy terrace, keyless entry to 3 sets of doors, a roomy elevator, and even a doorman! It was all that you would picture in your mind as the most authentic and amazing Italian living experience. When we arrived, Silvio was waiting for us at the entrance. He greeted us, and immediately came to the car and helped us with our luggage. His gentle father happened to be there also. He and Silvio were both very kind and friendly. Silvio speaks perfect English and he was extremely accommodating, (we had just come from Florence where the owners did not speak any English at all). After showing us how to access the doors, he gave us a wonderful packet that he had prepared containing directions to favorite restaurants, the grocery stores, shopping, and emergency and transportation information. He made sure we had his e-mail address and he e-mailed us a few times to see how our stay was going and if there was anything he could help us with. He asked if we needed a taxi on the day that we were flying back to the US and the car was waiting for us the moment we walked out the door, We were sad to leave this exquisite place: the gorgeous flat, the neighborhood, the Italian culture, the friendly people and Silvio who was a perfect host! We had a fabulous experience in Rome and each day that we had been out sightseeing, we were so happy to come back to our beautiful home of one week, to relax, cook a warm meal and enjoy our exquisite flat! Thank you Silvio!!! We will return to Rome in the future and we will want to have this wonderful experience all over again. By the way, when we would read these reviews as we were planning our vacation, we thought that those who wrote a good review were influenced to do so by the owner. That is absolutely not true, we made the effort to write this because everything we said is true!

The apartment is the perfect place to stay in Rome. It is wonderfully located, it's secure and safe, and it's quiet! It's just a few minutes walk to St. Peter's, the Vatican and the Vatican Museum; just a short walk to the Tiber and to Piazza Navona; just a few minutes walk to good shopping including, groceries, restaurants and anything else you need. The apartment is light and has a very pleasant, comfortable feeling and it is clean . It has all of the amenities needed for a stressfree trip including a complete kitchen, air conditioning, washing machine, ironing board and iron, wifi, satelite TV, dvd player, computer and printer and telephone, What makes the stay even better is the owner, Silvio, who is a true gem. He's very concerned about making your stay in Rome the p a perfect, memorable one.. He makes your stay as easy and stressfree as possible so that you can enjoy Rome. He is sincerely welcoming, kind, helpful, honest, hospitable and, very importantly, he is immediately responsive to any of your needs - he is the perfect host! Our stay in St.Peter apartment was more that we expect starting with the place where is located the bulding,winthin walking distance from all the main attraction and one street away from the shopping area and supermarket.Silvio was great,always making sure that our stay is pleasant and very helpful with all the information that we need.The apartment was very clean and well maintained.I recomand this apartment already to my friends and i know for sure that i will be back.

Great Apartment Near Vatican - October 2011

October 2011: We just returned home from two and one-half weeks in Italy. The last four days we staying in Silvio's apartment near the Vatican in Rome. Although our arrival was delayed by unforeseen travel delays, we were delighted to see Silvio waiting outside the apartment to welcome us to Rome and to walk us through the apartment. The apartment was everything and more that we had expected. The location is great ... just a few minute walk to the Vatican museums and St. Peter's. The apartment is well maintained with large rooms and well lighted. It felt like coming home ... so much better than checking into a single hotel room. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room is spacious, the bedroom has tons of closet space and full wall mirrors. The large bath has a great shower ... and there is even a washing machine hidden under the vanity which came in very handle at this point in our travels. Silvio checked in with us a couple of times during our stay to make certain we were comfortable and to make suggestions for restaurants, pharmacies, super markets, etc. He even arranged for a limo to take us to the Rome Airport when we departed. St. Peter Appartment, Rome.

The St. Peter appartment was every bit as attractive and comfortable as the listing described. It was also very peaceful and quiet, facing onto an inner courtyard containing decorative plants and shrubs. After a hard day's sightseeing it was a welcome retreat from the heat and bustle of the city. Silvio was very attentive to our needs and made us feel that we could call him at any time should we have a problem. One of the many highlights of our stay was a visit to the Roman ruins at Ostia. The site is about 12 kilometres from Rome and can be reached by metro and local train for the price of a 1euro metro ticket.

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Silvio was helpful from the moment I enquired about this property and I knew then that we had made the right choice. We had a wonderful holiday in Rome and our choice of accomodation just made it even better. Silvio was there to greet us upon arrival and went through every detail, as well as provide us with maps on things to see, places to shop, supermarkets, parking zones, Restaurants, tourist information etc. The apartment was comfortable, clean and in a great location. We had a wonderful stay at this apartment, so close to all of the major sightseeing venues. The owner, Silvio left us a packet with very useful information to help us locate places such as supermarkets, bus/metro lines and restaurants. We enjoyed having wi-fi available to us so we could keep connections to our family in the US and we even cooked dinner one night.....Italian style! Silvio also made himself available should we have any further inquiries during our stay. The airport SITbus service drops you off at Cavour (Vatican area) and the apartment is just down the street, really easy! Metro and bus lines are very near and the Vatican is just around the corner. Thanks, Silvio......we'll be back!

The apartment is completely renovated and perfectly appointed with all the necessary amenities to make a travelers' stay comfortable, convenient, relaxing and enjoyable. The apartment is very clean, very well-maintained, and is secure. It is conveniently located near the Vatican, the Old City, shopping, restaurants, churches - all are within a few minutes walk. The building is pleasant and has a doorman. Silvio is the perfect host and gentleman. He's genuinely warm and engaging, friendly, helpful and accommodating, and immediately responsive. This apartment was cozy and very quiet in an elegant neighborhood with many shops and restaurants. It is only steps from the Vatican and an easy walk to Rome's historic center. The owner, Silvio, went out of his way to be of service, offering many helpful suggestions and making himself available by cell phone for any needs. If I return to Rome, I would definitely stay here again!

Great place to call "Home in Rome!" Very nice unit. Very clean and welcoming. Brand new kitchen and bathroom. Separate bedroom. Inside room overlooking courtyard, so no noise! Yet it is very close to Vatican, St. Peter's, River Walk, Angel Castle. Walk to almost everything. October 2010 kathy and john

We spent a week with our 2 children in the sunny appartment. The appartment was very well situated to visit Roma. The owner is very helpful and was quick to answer by email. As the appartment was recently renovated, it was clean and everything was in good state. I'll surely try to rent this appartment when I come back to Roma!

I stayed in this apartment for 5 nights with my two daugters. It was very clean and tidy . The owner Silvio was extremely helpful and very prompt replying to my enquiries. The apartment is large and bright and looks out to a lovely courtyard. We felt we were living in a proper Italian apartment, but it had all the modern facilities inside - even a dishwasher and washing machine. There were some nice restaurants nearby and the shops and bank were only 5 minutes walk away. The apartment is very close to the Vatican and it was easy to walk or catch a bus to the other sights. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks at Silvio's apartment during the 2009 Christmas holiday and we really enjoyed staying here. I spent hours looking at other apartments online before we chose this one and I don't think you can beat it for location, value, and cleanliness. It has all the modern amenties in the kitchen and bathroom, the bed was comfy, and the TV and internet worked fine. From this location you can easily walk one direction to the Vatican or the other direction to Piazza Navona, no problem. And the immediate neighborhood has some nice stores and restaurants close by. We would definitely return. And you will love Silvio, the owner. Silvio is an honest, hard-working, respectful young man who saw to all our needs. And if you're lucky you'll get to meet his father, as we did.

Great Apartment in Rome

The listing description and listing photos of this great apartment were 100% accurate. The apartment was very clean, very secure and we loved having a washing machine. The owner kindly left us information for what we would need, or may need - info on historical sites, information center, restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, maps and books etc. The doorman was fantastic - very knowledgeable about everything. The location was great - a bus 5 minutes from the apartment goes to the Metro in 5 minutes which goes to many historical sites. We also walked a lot - to the nearby Vatican several times and across the bridge to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, various piazzas, etc. New in OCT 2009 - a bus line started transportation to the airport for 8 Euros (Nov 09 price) - originating from the Termini train station with a stop 5 minutes from the apartment - direct to airport with one more stop - it was a great find - very convenient and not expensive. The owner was extremely helpful and prompt with e-mails before and during the visit. I would most definitely recommend this apartment to others.
