Conveniently located 5 miles from Vail in Avon at the base of Beaver Creek, (Beaver Creek West) this spacious 1200 sq. foot 2 bed/2bath condo overlooks Nottingham Lake and is walking distance (3 blocks) to the new Gondola at the Westin in Avon (opened October 08)A new free skier shuttle is scheduled to run from 8-10:30 a.m. and 2-4:30 p.m. during the ski season. This will make it an easier trip to the ski slopes starting in the 2010-11 ski season and beyond.
Beautifully renovated with a wood burning fireplace, slate floors and is the closest condo (less than 20 feet) to the full size heated swimming pool and two large hot tubs make this a great unit when it snows! Flat panel TV and Bose 3.2.1 system to enjoy the fun DVD collection or cable! Free Hi-Speed Internet too!
Full kitchen including oven, microwave, full size fridge and dishwasher. Equipped with all amenities (pots/ pans, coffeemaker, etc.). Full size washer/dryer (all appliances less than 3 years old).
King size bed in master and two queen beds in guest bedroom plus queen sleeper in living room sleep up to 8 adults. Both bedrooms have TVs and DVD players and both bathrooms were completely renovated in Oct. 2008.
Extras: Condo is has with bath soap, toilet paper, tissues and a hair dryer in the bathrooms. Humidifiers and an iron and ironing board in the bedrooms. Pool towels and complete set of bathroom towels and laundry detergent.
The kitchen usually has some sugar and salt and pepper but that is not guaranteed. Look in all the cabinets and under the sink for supplies. There should also be dish soap and dish washer soap such as Cascade.

Year Purchased: 2003
I lived in Vail for two ski seasons in the late 80's early 90's right out of college and fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. I love to ski and grew up skiing in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. It was a dream come true to ski powder in Colorado. Life and jobs took me away and I currently live in Chicago, IL for the last 15 years. I try to ski every season but fell in love with summer in Colorado almost more. I love to decorate and I appreciate having what you need in a rental. This condo is my small pleasure.
Why the Owner Chose Avon
In 2003 I had an opportunity to buy a property, due to some insurance money and a need to reinvest from a sold property. I searched 19 properties all over the Vail Valley and found this one which was in need of some TLC I fixed her up over the last 5 years and I am ready to retire in it...one day. I hope you can appreciate the condo as much as I do. It is my only second home and I cherish it.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
I hope that you enjoy the condo and all the incredible amenities such as the close proximity to the hot tubs and the unit being on the ground floor. These were features I found important. The staff is excellent and there are great restaurants in Avon and Edwards, that are not Vail prices. I have also upgraded all the appliances to energy star rated products and received recognition from Holy Cross Energy for this.

For one week in january we lived in this wonderfull condo. It is just as described. It's perfect for two couples cause everybody has its private area. For skiing we made a five-minute-walk to the bus stop and used the new gondola to beaver creek or went by car to vail. The front desk of the beaver creek west condominiums offers perfect service. A late night check-in was no problem. And if you have no own computer you can use a public pc with printer in their office for free.

This condo was absolutely perfect for our ski vacation. Not only is it walking distance to the shuttle at Beaver Creek, but only a 15 minute drive to Vail and 45 minutes to Breckenridge. The decor and interior of the condo was like a home away from home. Thank you Mimi for a truly, wonderful vacation! I would recommend this condo to anyone and we will be back!!

We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of the ski season and were really happy with our choice. The apartment was well maintained and equipped. The layout was ideal for skiers with a large lobby for boots and skis and coat hooks over the heaters for ski gear.It was also a very easy drive up to the carparks.The beds were very comfortable and the rooms cosy and welcoming .We all felt there was a warm freindly armostphere and we are looking forward to comming back again. The on site staff and the owner were very helpful and friendly.For 4 adults who love their skiing ,hot tub, swimming and relaxing in the evenings this was a great choice.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. The property was exactly as described. It is well maintained, if not brand new. The convenience to the pool and hot tub could not be better, as it was just steps away. An extra bonus that I did not expect was that this condo is located on the first floor. Meaning there were no stairs or elevators to deal with. The management staff was very professional, and the owner(Mimi) made every accomodation to cater to our needs. Mimi even arranged to have a couple of feet of fresh power delivered for our skiing. This is a great place.

I've stayed in this unit, it was very nice. Great location close to everything. Very clean, lots of upgrades and nice detail. Comfortable for the 6 of us. 2nd bedroom has 2 very comfortable queen beds so we were not spilling out of a full size like most other places. King bed in the master bedroom super comfy. This unit is ground level so you don't have to hike up stairs. Parking was decent. It's also right across from the hot tub/pool entrance which was convenient, yet you could not hear a peep from outside. Flat screen TV and Stereo, way upscale and not what you would expect from a rental. The appliances look pretty new, the washer/dryer are in the unit and there's a key code to enter so no need to chase down keys which was nice with the group. The management is on site and very helpful. The unit had everything that we needed. I would stay here each time if it were available.
