Come and stay in our very comfortable and quiet 2 bedroom, 2 bath home and have as much fun as you wish-or stay on the screened in patio with a glass of iced tea and a good book! Situated on 3 wooded lots (two of which are fenced in) your vacation home is minutes away from downtown Dunnellon, where there are great restaurants, wonderful antique shops and friendly people.
Located in the Withlacoochee River Hills, your vacation home is three streets away from the crystal clear, wildlife abundant, picturesque waters of the Withlacoochee River and where you'll have access to a deeded, community dock with small boat ramp. Have a larger boat? No problem. Two blocks down the road is a public boat ramp that offers easy access to the Withlacoochee River and Lake Rousseau. Minutes away, the Rainbow River offers canoeing, kayaking, float trips (we highly recommend that!) and snorkeling as well as river tours. Lover of sunsets? Both docks offer the most incredible sunsets you'll ever witness.
Are you a little more adventuresome? Dunnellon is minutes away from some of the world's best cavern diving. Ocala, FL has the 40 Fathom Grotto, which has a deep site with platforms at various depths. Williston, FL has the Blue Grotto, with a line already run. There's also the Devil's Den, where there is a cavern filled with air at the bottom. To dive it, you must climb down stairs to a platform, where there is a hole in the ceiling of the platform where there was a cave at some point, which lets in light. Crystal River, FL at King's Bay. There is a 40 plus deep small cavern, which is most popular in the winter months because of the population of manatee that hang out there. The Rainbow River's crystal clear water is a popular site for relic treasure diving.
More of a land lover? Disney World, Epcot, Sea World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Center, to name a few, are all within 60-90 minutes away. Prefer golfing? Dunnellon boasts some great golf courses such as Rainbow Springs, Citrus Springs and El Diablo. For those who enjoy horseback riding, there's a beautiful horse ranch, Scattered Acres, less than 5 minutes away. Take private riding lessons or go on a trail ride.
Dunnellon, FL is 20-40 minutes away from Homosassa Springs, Silver Springs, Yankeetown, Brooksville, Ocala and Gainesville. You simply cannot run out of things to do or places to explore. For those who are members, Dunnellon is also home to the Moose Lodge, VFW and American Legion Post. There's also an Elk's Lodge in nearby Hernando.
