My husband and I stayed at A Happinest last year and I can't believe I never wrote a review!! Well here it is: From the moment we met Bruce and Kathe, and walked into their lovely vacation cottage, we felt welcomed and at home on Salt Spring. The cottage is rustic and creative, the air amongst the pines smells sweet, and the Island is a joy to explore. Not only do you have all the above, but then you have two of the most talented healers I've ever come across right down the road. Bruce changed my life when he introduced me to Rolfing, and recommended a local rolfer in Seattle who he thought would mesh well with me. My body has completely changed as a result of my work with the woman he advised. Kathe is an exceptionally strong and loving presence who had a profound influence on both me and my husband during her cranio sessions. Not to mention the other local delights of which there are many, including possibly the best and largest Saturday Outdoor Market I've ever been to with a smorgasboard of local everything! And the island itself, so lovely to explore from top to bottom! We can't wait to return.

My first reaction was that it was a little funky, but after four days there I did not want to leave! The place has a 1970's hippy vibe to it, but that suits Salt Spring perfectly. From the inside, it feels like you're in a tree house up on a hillside with lots of windows. The bathroom has an enormous tub which looks out on tree branches. It was almost as if I were taking a bath in the trees. Quiet and remote, Happinest is still close to town and to everything you want to see on the island. Our hosts were friendly, helpful, yet never intrusive. We had our dogs with us, and leaving the doors open it was safe for them to wander outside when they needed to.... We'd definitely come back!

We spent a weekend in March at the Happinest and it was the most relaxing getaway. The cottage is very cozy, quiet, clean, and well equipped. Also, the treatments offered by the owners are highly recommended!

A Happinest is truly that - on every level. The cabin surpassed our expectations and the amazing windows all around allow the outdoors in, very cosy. We keep coming back because we feel so relaxed here and its so close to town. Kathe's treatments have been powerful...no doubt she is gifted. When we need a break from the city this is the place we've found that is interesting, beautiful, affordable and with a great host family!! We are grateful for your efforts!

Our time flew by at happi/nest! The cabin is fully kitted with everything one needs so all that is left to do is unpack. It’s so easy to fill your time between treatments from Kathe and Bruce’s amazingly healing hands (highly recommended). Whether you spend your time napping in the sunshine, walking in the woods, taking in the view of the forest while soaking in the extra long claw foot tub, it truly is your own calm/nest. Still feeling the awesome benefits of our visit and looking forward to our next!

The Happinest Cottage is one of the most beautiful places to stay on Salt Spring Island - peaceful, quaint, and the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a little R&R. The hosts were brilliant and even though we were located only minutes from Ganges town centre, our stay at the cottage felt like we were a million miles from home. We'll definitely return to the Happinest!

What a great place to stay during this momentous time. After labouring magnificently our daughter birthed a beautiful baby girl at her Salt Spring home. We're grandparents! In all the wondrous excitement it has been fabulous to come back to the 'happinest' - and sleep like babies in that wonderful bed. Thank you.

Bruce and kathe, I can hardly believe that my week of 'me' time is already over. I can't express how wonderful this time away was for me on my birthday. I am so glad I did this and would recommend both this lovely cottage and a week away for anybody who wants to transition and expand. The wonderful treatments from both of you will no doubt change the way I move (literally- lol!) I really appreciated your energies and sharing and will be back for more treatments from each of you. C and P say 'thank you' too. They enjoyed the freedom to roam and hand out.

Thank you Kathe, Bruce and family. We had a wonderfully relaxing anniversary weekend in your peaceful little cottage. Very rejuvenating- the cranial session relieved a lot of tension and I wish we had time for a Rolfing session, next time! Thanks again, all our love.

I love the ideas you put with the cabin. Part of me just wants to pick it up and take it home with me. This place has a certain uniqueness to it. It'll be great to come back someday. Thanks so much! I had a lovely stay. P.S. The People Watching book was quite entertaining.

A happynest was the perfect way to end our two week tour of BC. Salt Spring is a beautiful and relaxing island. The hike to the native land with the secret little beaches was the best- thanks for the tip.

A wellness place this is! We were pretty ragged 'cityfolk' when we arrived but after a week of contemplating the serene Arbutus trees, relaxing in the comfortable chairs both inside and out and sleeping in the comfortable bed we are feeling rejuvenated. The privacy and tranquility of this little retreat are lovely. We are happy to have found a place where our dog is welcome too. Thank you Bruce and Kathe.

Summer Solstice Yoga Retreat Yeah! Our first retreat together and something tells me this won't be our last. I will admit I arrived a bit panicked- being that the Faraci family likes to do everything last minute and in large quantities. But just like a Faraci, everything turned out beautifully and synchronistically. We all love you Bruce and Kathe! Thank you for having all eleven of us ladies in your warm home and hearts. Lot's of love from the Whistler tribe. XO J XO
