The home is situated on a quiet tree-lined street, only 2 blocks from the Fillmore Street action, and 5 blocks from Union Street restaurants and shops. The home is just up the hill from the water front and a ten minute drive from Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 and The Ferry Building Market Place.
When you enter the home you are welcomed by a sunny elegant living room with a wood burning fireplace and a grand piano. The formal dining room is connected to the living room and seats up to 12. The large sunny eat-in kitchen seats up to 8 people - or enjoy eating outside on the partially enclosed south facing patio, located just off the kitchen. The patio overlooks a mature south-facing garden with 20 rose bushes, bougainvillea, magnolia trees and numerous other colorful plants and flowers - the calming sounds of humming birds, blue birds and doves complete the picturesque setting. The garden is also great for kids to play ball or run in the sprinklers. Also on the second floor is a half bath and the laundry room.
On the third floor you will find a large master bedroom with a king size bed and a private bathroom. The south facing deck off the master bedroom is perfect for sunning or taking a hot tub. A second bathroom,a family/TV room and an office/nursery with a wood burning fireplace completes the second floor.
On the top floor there are two more south facing bedrooms each with 2 twin beds, and an additional north facing room with a full sized bed. These three rooms share a bathroom.
The home is detached on three sides so it is bathed in sunlight from 10am till sundown. The lofty ceilings and original molding give the home an open and sophisticated feeling. Beautiful paintings from around the world give the home color and character. The house has been owned by the same family for over 35 years and has been lovingly tended to.

Year Purchased: 1973
We are a Swedish couple who moved here in the late 60s. We raised our two daughters in this home. We have lovingly cared for and tended to the house and hope you will enjoy it as much as we have. We are both very involved in the food scene of San Francisco and can help recommend numerous wonderful restaurants for you.

Walks to the local coffee shop, just two blocks away. Walks to the Fillmore Street shops and restaurants. Two gorgeous parks/playgrounds with city views just 3 blocks away. Downtown transportation is also just two blocks away. Crissy Field, the bayside promenade is only a 5 minute drive down the hill. Golden Gate park is also just about a 10 minute drive from the home.
