Beautiful - we didn't want to leave!

This place is new, beautiful, and private! While it's about an acre from the owners home, they thought about everything when they built this place. Plenty of natural light, but the majority of the windows face the trees, so you never realize the owners are within eyesight. The inside is impeccable and beautifully designed with all the amenities you need to enjoy a relaxing week, with plenty of space to stretch out. 8 minutes to downtown Freeport if you want to go out to eat or shop or hit up the new Bow Street Market to bring a few things home to cook in your pjs! Ultimate in relaxation!

My wife and I stayed at this cottage for a few days at the end of May. It lived up to it's description as sweet and cozy. It's a beatifully designed place - very comfortable and friendly. It sits a few miles outside of Freeport - close enough to be at the outlet stores in 5 minutes but far enough away to feel very secluded. When we return to Maine, we hope to stay here again.

Our family of four (plus dog) had a beautiful and peaceful stay at this cottage. It has a clean and open, yet cozy feeling. We really felt like we were far away from it all, but we were so close to many activities. We loved playing cards, Scrabble and reading with our kids - totally unplugged! We visited the Portland Museum of Art, The Maine Maritime Museum, Wolfe's Neck Farm and had fun just cruising around the villages of the coast. We enjoyed Fore Street restaurant and The Standard Baking Co. in Portland. Don't let the hot plate scare you - with a little planning, we took advantage of some delicious local meat, cheese, bread and beer from the Bow Street Market and made a great dinner for the four of us! The owners were helpful and kind. We could recommend this nice place to any of our friends or relatives.

Some friends of ours rented this sweet cottage this fall for a couple who has 9 children and hasn't been on a vacation in 18 years without them! They had such a wonderful time, in fact, they said one of the days they were there was the best day of their entire marriage! The place was clean and had everything they needed. The owner kept in touch with us very well. You must rent this place if you are looking for a wonderful getaway!
