This is a simple mountain cabin located next to a beautiful year round mountain stream. Yes, there are trout in the stream. It is located at the base of Pikes Peak and the road to the summit is only 2 miles to the east. The owners share their deck next to the stream and their gas grill with all renters. A great place for children to climb and explore.
One mile up the road is the sleepy little village of Green Mountain Falls with it's lake and gazebo. A playground next to the lake is great for kids and everyone will enjoy "The Pantry" restaurant for good food all day long.
7 Miles up highway 24 is Woodland Park with all the conveniences you will need. Wal-Mart, restaurants, fast food, and shopping are just a few minutes away from the cabin.
5 miles back down Ute Pass is the little town of Manitou Springs. Taste the water from the mineral springs while gift shopping. The arcade and Patsy's candy will offer something for everyone.
Back in the mountains is adventure that will fill up your visit. The little mining towns of Cripple Creek and Victor are 45 mins west. 11 mile canyon, out of Lake George is a nice drive along a mountain river with lots of places for a picnic.

My parents originally developed this strip of small cabins in the 1950's. The stream and ambiance of the valley is a special place from my childhood. I hope you will enjoy it too.
