One can walk to Cuyamaca for fishing and boating, hike or horseback ride on scenic trails to Julian, or venture to the Santa Isabel Indian Gaming Casino or the Borrego Springs desert and golf courses.
On the property, one can witness wildlife including red-tail hawks, wild turkeys, and deer, in addition to the star-filled night sky and Pacific Ocean sunsets while in the comfort of San Diego climate during all four seasons. The location is perfect for its proximity to a small town while secluded from the noise of the big city.

I was looking for a cute and cozy place to stay for a 1 night only to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and I found this great place. The owners were great, they let us arrive earlier than other places to check in, they seem really friendly. The house is really pretty and clean, Cathy (owner) did a great job in the decorations and they had a tour guide handy in case we had questions. The kitchen is fully equipt, the bathroom has clean towels available and little cute soaps and stuff... This is a really inviting place to stay, the view is great! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!! Is like 10 minutes away from Julian and walking distance to Lake Cuyamaca. Love it! We will definitely come back :-)Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet, romantic getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The "Rockin K" delivered! The home is newer and very well-equiped. The property is located in a lovely country-side area, outside the hustle and bustle of Julian, but still close enough to enjoy the town. The owners were extremely flexible with our schedule, and they were friendly and helpful in addressing our questions. We loved spending time with their horses! We will definitely return to the "Rockin K"!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

The accommodations were very inviting and clean. Owners put a lot of love into it and it shows! We had a great time - enjoyed the horses, the dogs, and the view immensely. It's close to Julian and Anza-Borrego, so there are lots of destination options. We hope to return sometime!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The guest house is brand new- everything is clean and new! Very comfortable for our family of four. We enjoyed petting the horses, hiking and sledding in the fresh snow!
