Our trip to London was a gift to our best friend, who just got married. My favourite part of the weekend, was when she arrived at the appartement, and - champagne glass in hand - went from room to room, from terrace to terrace to take it all in. The place looks really impressive (although not as new and perfect as in the pictures) - the view and the light makes it quite glamorous. (Actually, we kept joking about the place looking like one of those you see in realityshows like Top Model.) We we´re eleven people staying in the Penthouse, and still it didnt feel to crowded. And we (almost) had room for everyone round the table for breakfast. It was easy to find and get to by public transport, and the only trouble we had when staying there, was that it took us some time to figure out how the hightech coffemaker worked ; ) Some of us also had some trouble sleeping, because of all the windows with no blinds. Others found it a treat to be waken up by the sun.. For a large group like us, this was the perfect place to stay, and so much better than a hotel.

The space is amazing and a large group can really get comfortable and yet share all of the space together....especially the large table and chairs on the Large Terrace !! The great thing about this penthouse is that its on 3 floors and on each floor you can get to the outside to view what London has to offer......simply stunning views !! I am really pleased that this worked out for you all. It is a really lovely bright penthouse with large windows and we understand that some people like to wake up to a lovely natural light and some people dont. This is why in 2 of the bedrooms we have blinds and curtains for the windows to close of a lot of the light. Not really sure about your comment regarding the photos as everybody that comes here says its exactly as the photos are but the space is bigger than they imagined. since the photos were taken we have put Oak floors in all of the bedrooms instead of carpet which I think is a great improvement. also replaced some pictures,vases, rug etc. Overall I would say that the Penthouse has improved since the photos. The "Bean to Cup " coffeemaker can be a little confusing but its worth it to get that nice fresh coffee. all instruction booklets are in the drawer to help you further. Fantastic for friends getting together

We had a wonderful weekend in London at this gorgeous penthouse apartment. We were 9 females on my sister's hen weekend. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. There was a large supermarket within walking distance for supplies (we ate in both nights). Staying in the apartment and eating in made the weekend more economical than staying in a hotel and eating out, plus gave us the flexibility to be together as a big group or have time alone. However, there are some great places to eat nearby. We really enjoyed going to the River Quarter Kitchen nearby for brunch on the Sunday (2 mins from apartment, tasty food, accommodating & helpful staff). Most importantly for this many females is there are plenty of bathrooms/loos! Recommend taking eye masks as the windows let in a lot of light in the morning in the top floor bedrooms but there are great views and the balcony is wonderful to have breakfast and drinks in the evening. Robert the owner was very helpful at explaining where places are nearby. We got taxis for ease but there are buses nearby.

Simply Amazing!

2 families traveled to London over the American holiday Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The flat is HUGE! It has its own stop on the elevator. It is 3 stories tall. The kitchen, living room, dining room, and sun room are all on the first floor of the flat. The bedrooms are all upstairs. Our youngest child is 2 years old and the flat was safe for him to run around in. No problem/issues during our stay. There isn't a near by tube station, so you must take a bus (15-20mins) to a tube station. This was the only inconvenience. We highly recommend staying at this flat.

This is without doubt one of ,if not the largest penthouse in zone 2 of London available for people to come from all over the world for as little as 2 days.. Clapham junction station has recently added a dedicated line that links the underground and also Westfield shopping centre in shepherds bush. The station is only 7 minutes walk away from the penthouse. You can also get the double decker bus into London Victoria right outside the penthouse which does take around 15-20 minutes but everyone seems to love this because of the views from our British "double decker bus". I had visited london many times before and i had the chance to experience many types of hotels, the stay at penthouse was totally worth it, to be more practical the house was perfectly located in london, the owner was professional and soooooo welcoming , frankly he made every thing available like he was preparing the house for him self. I would strongly recommend this house for families. lastly, I would like to write that, I know where am gonna stay next time in london. A.Alissa

This was a great spot for me and several others for a business trip to London. Plenty of room. Very comfortable. There's a convenience store (off-license store) just a few minutes walk from the apartment. And some excellent restaurants nearby right on the Thames waterfront. Easy connection by bus to Victoria and elsewhere. We loved the outdoor patios. Great views as well.

I therefore had a look to see what could have lost us that " 5th star" I noticed that the carpets in the bedrooms were looking a bit tired so have now put brand new solid oak floors in all of the bedrooms. This Penthouse now has Oak floors throughout so a great Allergen free Home. Not only that But we also made the Dressing room into a 4th bedroom so the Penthouse now has 4 Double Bedrooms as standard. With the additional sofabeds we can now sleep upto 14 people. We hope to welcome you again & make sure you have the "penthouse 5 star" experience. Warmest Regards....Robert

Stunning Penthouse

We stayed in this wonderful penthouse for the 2012 London Olympic Games. We were awed and extremely satisfied with the home and the professionalism of Robert, the owner. Robert was available whenever we needed and even came by the home at a moment's notice. The home was superbly furnished, very clean and in a great location. It is exactly as described. Robert provided great instruction and gave wonderful suggestions on dining and transportation. We will definitely use this penthouse again for future trips to London. Highly recommended! I am so pleased that we met your expectations & in this time when people are concerned that the property photos in the adverts dont match what they see when they arrive......I am pleased that it was exactly as you thought & expected it to be. Also the location, people are sometimes concerned that its not in the centre of London BUT it doesnt need to be. we are in zone 2 and everything is so close.....the transport network here is superb and you dont need a car at all. from the terrace you can see the london eye etc very clearly. Our professional transportation service to & from the airports offer incredible value too and take the worry out of finding your way to the Penthouse. Always there on time waiting to greet you. AMAZING!

My friends and I organised a wonderful weekend in London and we had such an amazing time and this was hugely down to the fantastic accommodation that we had. Believe me when I say the pictures do not do it justice, the amazing space and views this penthouse has to offer are outstanding. We were a large group yet did not feel like it with all the space to absorb us. Robert and his wife were friendly and helpful and the pre and post customer service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this rental and I for one will be looking for the next excuse to hire it! May I also recommend Tom's Kitchen which is a short taxi ride away and we all enjoyed a beautiful evening meal!

Great Place to Stay

We rented the Penthouse for a family vacation that included my family of 5, my sister and her daughters and my mother (9 of us in total). We found the Penthouse to be very roomy for the 9 of us and a great place to stay for our London holiday. It was convenient to the City via the bus to VIctoria Station (bus stop bascially right outside the apartment) or you could take the bus to Clapham Junction. Penthouse exactly as pictured and in good condition. We are a pretty particular/fussy group and we found everything perfectly acceptable. The one minor situation we had was handled expeditiously by Robert. He was also very helpful in assisting with any arrangements we needed. Great host! While the Penthouse is located about 10 minutes outside of the hub of London attractions and does require a daily bus ride, it is very convenient and accessible and was a nice place to escape to after the long days of sightseeing. I would highly recommend the Penthouse to other travelers. Thanks again, Robert!!

Excellent location. Features just as described. Photos entirely accurate. The apartment was clean and spacious. Easy transportation into central London. Easy walk to food and groceries. Owners were very helpful. They immediately answered phone calls and solved all issues (which were minor.) We would most definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful time!

Incredible apartment!

We had an amazing time at this stunning property and can highly recommend staying here. We lived in London for 15 years and came back for a weekend to celebrate Guy Fawkes night - what a return as we basically had 360 degree views across London, seeing 6 different firework displays with two large balconies to choose from. We felt like we were in New York, it's unbelievable that you can get this kind of view and space in central London! The apartment is very well presented, incredibly clean, safe and secure and is very close to Clapham Junction for transport and food. Thank you Bob for greeting us and making everything incredibly easy - a weekend we won't forget :) Matt, Lu & Co

We had a ball. We asked Robert about a good fish n chips place. He recommended Brady's and we went the first night - wonderful. The penthouse was everything we wanted and more. It was really a great place to stay. Highly recommend it. Riverfront restaurant was great. We ate there 2 nights and loved it. You can't go wrong renting this Penthouse!

Having just returned from 9 nights within this apartment visiting a nearby event, a stay here comes highly reccommended. The apartment was clean and tidy on arrival and ready to relax within immediately. The views across central London were stunning and I found the owner pleasant and easy to deal with. The beds were very comfy ensuring a great nights sleep, and there were enough balconies and extra rooms for a large group to enjoy themselves in space and comfort. 5 stars!

Perfect Family Vacation HQ

With family from California, Singapore, India, and British Midlands visiting for a wedding in London, this Penthouse turned out to be the perfect place for all of us for a ten day visit in April 2011. We walked to Battersea park, hopped in a bus for Victoria station, and took trains everywhere. This was our first homeaway rental in UK and we must say it was one of the best we'd ever done compared to our stays in Mendocino, Lake Tahoe, RussianRiver in California. Convenient parking for our car, 3bedrooms + living room and ample terrace spaces (we had lovely 70' sunny weather) kept the adults + kids comfortable. Groceries/cafes including WholeFoods and Gourmet cakes (cakeboy!) are within walking distance as are buses/trains to central london/airport. We even had a pre-wedding get-together for the couple and they were awestruck by the views out to London Eye and all points West for the lovely sunset. We did end up driving quite a bit (only 15 minutes to central london, Kensington, Knightsbridge, Hyde Park, Chelsea,...) and the apartment is only a bridge away from Chelsea. We'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a true London getaway. Its worth every British Pound ! We hope to be back here with the family ourselves.

Amazing apartment, great location!

I was travelling to London for a seminar, and we decided that I, my wife, our 6 year old daughter, and my mother-in-law would all go too. We came from Canada, and we were met by the driver at Gatwick Airport. He drove us to the apartment (about 45min drive) and we were greeted with a very warm welcome by Robert, the owner. He gave us a tour, and showed us around, as well as presented us with a very nice welcome package to get us started. The apartment is gorgeous, and exceeded or expectations. It was clean, comfortable, and extremely spacious. The bedrooms are huge, and the beds are very comfortable. They are true queen beds!! There are plenty of amenities around the location, and a quick 5 minute walk or 2 minute bus ride to "Clapham Junction" station. From here you can get almost anywhere you want to go. It is only 10 minutes by train to Victoria Station, and trains come nearly every 4 minutes. There is also a bus stop just steps out the door and about a 15-20 minute ride to Victoria Station. We were there for 8 nights, and had an unforgettable experience. We would definitely stay again!

First of all, Robert was awesome to deal with, incredibly responsive to questions, before, during and after the stay. Everything was exactly as described in the listing and in our discussions via email. The decision to rent this apartment came down to size and quality versus location. It was impossible to find an apartment of this quality and size in Mayfair or Knightsbridge.

I have travelled many times out of the country and you never know what to really expect when you rent a place over the internet, that said....the Penthouse is exactly as described and shown on the website. We stayed here in Septembtember for 4 nights. This place is absolutely beautifully! I have stayed in London before and nothing has been close to this apartment. There was beautiful light in the morning and evening as there were windows everywhere, and the views were magnificent. I took some gorgeous pictures of a beautiful sunrise one morning. Walking on the boardwalk to Cake Boy (delicious and famous) and just sitting outside having a glass of wine at the Waterfront restaurant were some of our favorite things to do in the early evening. The bus to Victoria station not only comes out front but there are two different ones you can take...we never waited more than 5 minutes either way. We loved staying in Battersea as it allowed us to see another area of London. The Penthouse was supplied with all the amenities a family would need. A thousand thank you's to the owner Bob and his wife...we really enjoyed meeting you both. I will continue to rave and recommended the Penthouse to friends and family members traveling to London.

Beautiful Penthouse Apartment

We are a family of 6 vacating in London for the first time. This place was perfect for us: lots of space, excellent gourmet kitchen facilities, nice decks, good furniture, easy to get in and out. Robert the owner was extremely helpful in terms arranging economical transportation from the chunnel where we arrived from Paris and as well meeting us on time with the keys. There is a information package in the apartment highlighting local activities. Robert was available for any further assistance if necessary. We took the bus to Victoria station which was about 20 minutes away - so Central London was very easy to access. The listing was very accurate as described and the photos were accurate as well. We were not disappointed at all. The place was immaculately clean and well maintained. As well, Robert gives me the impression that if there was a problem he would fix it right away. When we were not site seeing in Central London we explored the local neighbourhood. Battersea has a great Indian restaurant which you can walk to or take a short bus ride. As well, you are close to the Thames(a block or so) and it was lovely to walk along there. There is also good TV and some kind of game cube that kept my teenagers busy when necessary. There was lots of space for everyone which I really liked. The adults come have a quite glass of wine on the terrace while the children hung out in a very large family room with all the amenities. Usually we are on top of each other when on vacation but this penthouse was fantastic for everyone to enjoy themselves. I would definitely recommend this property.

Wow! What a place. We booked the Penthouse for a special occasion (our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary) and wanted something out of the ordinary. It certainly exceeded our expectations and was out of the ordinary! We had six adults and two full-grown teenagers staying at the apartment and there was more than enough room. The open space was great for family gatherings while the bedrooms allowed plenty of privacy and were spaced on different levels. Plus, there were three separate terraces. The décor is very contemporary… even the teens were impressed and thought it was like something out of a TV show. The apartment is in excellent shape and very clean. Bob, the owner, outfitted the apartment with a large-flat panel TV, video systems/games, wifi, and nice kitchen appliances. It’s not your typical rental by a long stretch. The towels and linens were of good quality and toiletries for the bathroom and kitchen were included. Also note that there is a washer/dryer in the unit. The location worked well for us. We knew that it was not in the city center; but we couldn’t find a place that slept 8 closer in (at any price). There are several bus lines that run by the apartment, two of which go to Victoria Station where you can easily reach any part of the city. We never had to wait more than 4 or 5 minutes for a bus. The best way to go is to purchase an Oyster Card, which makes for the easiest and cheapest method of getting around. The apartment is within zone 2 of London transportation system, so there is no surcharge for traveling into the city center. Within walking distance of the Penthouse, there are several convenience stores and restaurants. The town of Clapham (20-minute walk) was surprisingly nice with lots and lots of shopping and many restaurants. We recommend spending an afternoon there. Another aspect that is always important to us is timely communication from the owner. Bob was top-notch in this regard. He responded to our email very quickly and was also responsive with questions once we checked in. We were sad when we had to go home. The penthouse is setup as a place you’d like to live… not just rent for a week. If you can’t tell by now - we HIGHLY recommend this rental.

He responded to our email very quickly and was also responsive with questions once we checked in. We were sad when we had to go home. The penthouse is setup as a place you’d like to live… not just rent for a week. If you can’t tell by now - we HIGHLY recommend this rental.

A Great Getaway

We stayed for the first week in July 2010. With five children, we do not fit easily into a hotel, and the "Penthouse" offered the perfect solution. Robert coordinated our transport, greeted us when we arrived, answered our "goofy" questions about where to order delivery Thai food, and generally ensured that we had a perfect stay. Transport to the center of London was easy by bus or taxi. When we took time to simply hang at the Penthouse, it was perfectly comfortable. There was plenty of room for the seven of us to spread out. Most of the dishes and other amenities are nicer than we expect when we rent a house (we rent a lot). We cooked meals in the kitchen, and found everything we needed.

Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We all loved this place - four adult children and two grandchildren. It was in excellent condition and the owner was extremely helpful in every way. It had all of the amenities a luxury facility like this should have, including wireless and evrything else. The furnishings were excellent and everything was in good condition. The only minor issue was that it wasn't close to any tube. On the other hand, it was at the stop for two buses that took you to Victoria Station in 15 minutes and a 8 minute walk from the train station. We all give it the highest rating and we have stayed at a number of places around the world. It is as good as any we have ever stayed at. London is our favorite city and this apartment is perfect for up to 8 people.

A wonderful family destination for London

When seeking accommodation for a family visit to another country it can be difficult to be sure that you are really going to get what you are looking for. When we found the Penthouse we were extremely excited and were hopeful that the accommodation would be all that was promised. We were not let down, the website description was accurate, it is hard to describe perfection - and that is the feeling we have come home with. From the initial enquiry, the timely email communications, the promise of an exceptional location and the very warm welcome our hopes were met 100%. Bob's service to us was exceptional, we were met at the apartment as arranged (Bob even helped us carry our cases!), the apartment was immaculate, the food essentials were appreciated and the personal exit handover was not rushed. We actually left the apartment feeling that Bob really did care that we had had a great time. The accommodation housed our family of eleven - grandmother, parents, adult children and their partners and two grandchildren. We had great entertaining rooms but also the space for privacy when wanted. We particularly enjoyed our Sunday lunch party where we entertained 38 people with the space, all the kitchen and catering items we required, and fabulous views of London. Thank you Bob, it was the best!

Wonderful place

We stayed 3 months from March until May 2010 with our 2 kids (2 and 5 years old) in this lovely Penthouse. It is spacious, filled with light and furnished with great taste. The property is well equipped also for longer stays and if something was not provided Robert and Michaela were completing it before we even noticed we missed it. We had a marvellous time and will definitely come back whenever there is an opportunity.

TO anyone out there that appreciates the quality of space and excellence in standard contact the owner. The penthouse in Battersea is just splendid. My family is large, and we were spaciously accommodated with every attention to detail exactly as per photograph. The owner Robert is particularly accommodating and ensured that our pick up and drop off's were timely executed. The penthouse is perfect for the family, well equipped and a lovely terrace that has an almost 250 degree view with the london skyline in the distance. Once you are familiar with the navigation of the area, you are merely a 5 minute bus and 5 minute walk from kings road shopping and fulham road restaurants and knightsbridge a mere 15 minutes further. We have thoroughly enjoyed the stay and more than impressed with the property!

For a family or group of friends to be together in this lovely Penthouse rather than in 2,3 or 4 seperate rooms in a hotel where they can only meet in the lounge is where it really comes into its own. We would definitely recommend "The Penthouse" for a stay in London. Our family (Mom, Dad, 3 boys (13, 10, 8) stayed in the beautiful Penthouse the week of Thanksgiving and had a great time. Robert helped make us feel welcome from the start, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this luxurious apartment. It is spacious and well appointed (the Playstation was a particular hit for the boys and a welcome respite for them from all the sight-seeing). The Penthouse is conveniently located for touring, with a bus stop basically right outside the door that gets you to Victoria Tube Station within 10-20 minutes. There are other tube stations nearby as well, but the boys enjoyed the double-decker buses (#44 as I recall) so much, that we stuck with that mode of transport. We are already looking forward to another opportunity to get back to London, and will hopefully be able to stay in the Penthouse again. Thank you again for everything, Robert! Our London experience was magnificient thanks to your Hospitality!

My family and I were the first to rent this property and had a wonderful stay. It is elegantly furnished, filled with light, has state of the art appliances, and is spacious with two balconies. Robert was very helpful, almost like staying at a friend's house. The bus stops almost in front of the flat made it simple and easy to get anywhere using the multi-day underground passes. There is a wonderful pub right on the Thames as well as other restaurants right nearby. The only concern you might have is that it is a multi-story flat and there are stairs which might not make it suitable for the elderly or those traveling with very small children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend this rental.

Well where do i start, Firstly i think you should include "Magnificent" To the list, so i can give such a rating to this property. I had the great pleasure of occupying this property for a short weekend stay, and without a doubt this has been by far the best Home Away experience ever. This Penthouse oozes with class, sophistication, creativity and luxurious comfort. I was in need of a location to impress my American Guests who flew to london for the weekend and i could not have wished for a better apartment. The most impressive element about this experience was the accuracy of descriptions on the website . If you are impressed by the photographs you see on this site, then i guarantee there will be no disappointments once you arrive. The location is perfect, wether on foot or car, you are moments away from shops and stations. The neighborhood felt safe and secure, the garage parking was definitely a special bonus. Inside the penthouse there is a vibrant atmosphere, with true comfortable and quality furniture and also very spacious. But just as i thought things couldn't get any better, the evening came and as the sun went down the views of London's most remarkable sites became visible. The views from all corners of this penthouse were simply and utterly unsurpassed. I could not believe how vivid the London Eye, Canary Wharf and other landmarks appeared. All my friends and family who witnessed this site were blown away and stood speechless for several minutes each day to admire the true beauty. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all specious and beautifully decorated, especially the third bedroom which had the red/white color scheme and the on suite bathroom. The lounge was of a practical size and all the house equipment worked like magic. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances which made things so much easier. The Terrance was stunning, with immense amount of space and also great views from such a high level. All in all, this property exceeded my expectations, the sophistication and artistic decorations throughout the penthouse made this experience one to never forget. Above all, the Helpfulness of Robert, and his friendly and warming approach gave me so much faith that me,my family and friends from the US were in good hands. I have every faith that i will be looking to stay at this property again. Highly recommended to groups of friends, Family or even the romantic getaway. Its PERFECT

This penthouse is an excellent location. I'm french and my english is medium. It's very clean and it's near the centrer of London by bus and metro. The decoration is perfect and the rooms are spacious an very agreable. The view is Great. To finish, the propriety is an agreable person and the welcome is perfect. Sorry for my english... Nathalie

We have just returned from a week's family holiday in London where we stayed in this fabulous apartment. Having now stayed in numerous rental homes both in this country and abroad we feel well equipped to make comparisons and to say that this one ticked all the right boxes for us making it overall the best holiday rental home we've ever stayed in. There's no need to describe how beautiful the accommodation is as you can see that for yourself when you view the website. The listing description said the apartment was "truly stunning" and if anything the apartment turned out to be even better than we'd anticipated! Of all the apartments/houses/villas we've stayed in over the years this is the only one we could honestly describe as"immaculate" or "spotlessly clean". The linen on the beds was beautiful and the towels in the bathrooms very luxurious. Everything had been done to provide maximum comfort during our stay. What made our stay that extra bit special was the very professional customer service we received from the owner Bob. From the minute we made enquiries about the accommodation right through to our morning of departure Bob handled everything so professionally and efficiently. He was there to meet us on arrival at the agreed time and provided us with an unexpected welcome pack (bottles of wine, freshly ground coffee, cereal etc!). We have had experience of owners turning up late, leaving the keys for us in the grounds of the accommodation (!) etc so Bob's personal touch and professionalism was quite refreshing and impressive. The location was ideal for anyone wishing to spend any length of time In London on holiday or on business. When travelling around London we tended to catch a bus rather than travel by train/tube and the bus stop into Knightsbridge, Victoria etc was not even 5 minutes walk from the apartment. There was also a small grocery store within walking distance which was useful from time to time. We have no hesitation in recommending this property as your perfect holiday home. We certainly expect to return to it for future holidays spent in London and wouldn't even bother looking elsewhere. Thank you Bob!

We were very happy the with Penthouse which we rented for business retreat. It was a great house with amazing architecture and views across London. The access through Clapham Junction was easy and often times faster then connections from central London. Be sure and go to La Gazetta one of the best French restaurants in London. Best regards.
