This is a beautifully-appointed vacation spot in the newly developed “Lake Shore Cottages” community. This lovely cottage boasts lots of living space and a terrific open floor plan, perfect for entertaining and gathering friends and family. Ideally situated on the west side ('Lake side') of Red Arrow Highway, the cottage is a charming 7-block stroll to the beach. The kitchen, dining and living areas all feature vaulted ceilings and windows throughout, creating optimal light and space. The cottage sleeps eight to ten comfortably. The master features a king-sized bed; another bedroom, queen bed; the third, bunk beds and another set of twin beds. In addition the open-air loft area has a twin daybed with twin trundle bed. A portable crib is also available to renters. The tv room has a queen pull out couch.
Additional amenities include a wood-burning fireplace, screened-in porch, outdoor utility shower, baby gate for top and bottom of stairs, iPod stereo system, free wireless internet, and access to the Community Pool and Club House (a fully outfitted facility, including large game room with fireplace, office, free wireless internet, full kitchen; heated pool open starting Memorial Day (May) thru Columbus Day (October); membership exclusive to owners, guests and renters).

The Unique Benefits at this House
The Waterstone Cottage is truly a relaxing place to stay. The location is perfect-west ('lake side') of Red Arrow Highway, walking distance to the public beaches. The community pool is truly a gem, being heated it stays open Memorial Day thru Columbus Day (5/27/2011 - 10/11/2011)
You have access to any public beach. This is the closest. You can park as well. Go west on Townline Road from Red Arrow Highway.
In Skip's parking lot you will find a fun farmers market for the whole family to enjoy. Open from May to early October every Saturday and Sunday.

We had a wonderful week at Waterstone. The cottage has the amenities one would need to really enjoy Michigan, pool, firepit, quiet atmosphere, nice clean updated cottage. We had a blast and will try to stay again.

My three sons and I stayed at this property for 10 days last summer while our house was being renovated. What an amazing house! We were so comfortable here, and there was more than enough space for all of us. There are several beds and a full bath upstairs, and my three teenage sons were very comfortable up there. The master bedroom and bathroom are on the main floor, very comfortable, and provided adequate privacy from the upstairs space. We had friends visit us more than once and enjoyed the large dining room table as well as the comfortable patio area in the back that allowed us to bbq and the kids to play outside. My boys walked to the corner convenience store more than once to pick up an item or two, and the beach was as easy walk for us as well. The neighborhood was pleasant and quiet and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to relax. The listing photos were 100% accurate and the owners were incredibly helpful during the whole process. The property was spotless, very well-maintained and I cannot think of a single complaint. The kitchen is well-stocked with top of the line equipment and the linens and towels are high quality as well. Definitely an amazing find!

We had a lovely visit in 2009 to Union Pier and the Waterstone Cottage. The house was gorgeous, a perfect beach "home", with all we needed for a wonderful week by the lake. The neighborhood pool was wonderful and it was an easy 10 minute walk to the beach. We visited with friends and our kids had a great time in the water, playing games when we needed some downtime and heading into town for an ice cream treat. We would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing get-away! Enjoy.

We had such a wonderful time during our visit. The cottage is beautifully decorated and was perfect for young children. Even my one-year-old could walk around and explore without concern he might get into something unsafe. Everyone especially loved the sun room and spent a great deal of time sitting out there. The neighborhood pool was a hit as well! Thanks so much!

My girlfriends and I spend Memorial Day weekend in Union Pier for a bachelorette party. The house is fantastic. The owners thought of everything and are very responsive. The house is impeccable-the kitchen is well supplied, the decor is so adorable. I love the enclosed porch. The location is great. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful house. The decorating was fantastic; it’s exactly the way we would want a beach house to look! Lots of little extras that made our stay even easier. The house was super clean and new, lots of light, and comfy furniture. There were four of us, including our two kids. They loved playing ping pong at the Clubhouse. This was perfect for an off season getaway. It's a bit of a hike to the beach, but in the Summer, there's a pool to make up for it. The area is terrific, great restaurants, antiquing, and just lovely wooded areas to walk through. Thanks for making your house available and offering such a reasonable rate!

I rented this house with some friends last summer and it was perfect! It was adorable and spotless. The house has everything you could want. Great bedding (5 star hotel quality) as well as a kitchen fully stocked with all cooking supplies (we could actually make a gourmet meal)! We enjoyed walking to the beach, swimming in the pool and campfires in the back yard. The house is located in an adorable private neighborhood. It was very quiet and relaxing. The perfect place to get away!
