Our vacation home is located in The Village of Bear Trap Dunes. Bear Trap Dunes is the premier, daily-fee golf course in the Bethany Beach area. The golf course contains a 27 hole course, complete with practice range, chipping area, and putting green.
Our home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with a peaceful screened-in porch that backs to protected woods and is next to the community playground. The townhome was newly built in 2005 and contains all the comforts of home with top of the line furnishings and decor. The kitchen is fully-equipped and includes a microwave, dishwasher, ice maker, as well as various small appliances. The kitchen and dining area are open to the large family room with a TV, with built-in DVD and VCR players. The family room contains an unbelievably comfortable leather sofa and a gas-fed fireplace. There is a screened deck in the rear of the house, a sun deck to the side, and a wrap-around porch in the front of the house.
Our home sleeps eight comfortably! The home includes a master bedroom on the lower level, furnished with a queen bed. Adjoining the master bedroom is the double-sink bath with large shower and separate toilet. The second floor has three additional bedrooms, a second master bedroom with its own full bathroom, a bedroom with a full bed, and a bedroom which contains two single beds. A 'Jack and Jill' style full bathroom joins the bedroom with the full bed and the bedroom with the two twin beds.
There is a powder room is on the lower level. Game playing, reading, or watching TV may be enjoyed in the 'rumpus' room located in the front of the first floor. Bring your Wii console and games, as this TV is already equipped with the Wii sensor bar. Wireless Internet is also available in our home!
Bear Trap Dunes has 6 Har Tru tennis courts, 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, and a fitness center. The community provides a shuttle to Bethany Beach. Bethany Beach is a short three-mile ride from our home. There is a shuttle stop within walking distance to the house, and the shuttle departs every 20 minutes, and drops riders at the Bethany boardwalk. The shuttle allows you to bring chairs and other beach gear.
Renters must purchase a renters pass to have access to the pavilion (pool and fitness center), October Glory pool and/or bus shuttle. The 2009 Renter Pass Prices are (all prices are for renters 4 years and older and are per week fees):
