#9 Blacksmith Lodge is a very comfortable and luxurious (2000 square foot) town home with stunning views over the Monashee Mountains. It has won awards for Best Development, Best Layout and Best Interior Finishing.
It has features such as hot water radiant heated floors, large private outdoor hot-tub with massaging jets (very nice after a long day skiing), a fully-equipped luxury kitchen and a great room with gas fire.
All beds have comfortable fluffy duvets. There are two Master bedrooms with King and Queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms (one has a jetted tub plus shower, the other a rain shower). The third bedroom has a comfortable pull-out queen sofa bed and a single/twin bunk bed. This bedroom has a bathroom with bath/shower.
The lodge has easy access to three main lifts (ski run goes right past back door!) and is located only a few minutes from both the Village centre and Happy Valley.
To keep up with your e-mails, we have provided free high-speed wireless internet access for our guests. Access to the lodge is via a Keypad code, which will be sent to you shortly prior to your arrival.
Big White ski resort is Canada’s largest ski-in/ski-out resort with an average snowfall of 25 feet of "champagne powder" snow. It has 118 designated trails, 27 unnamed trails, and lots of off piste skiing in the powder bowls and tree glades; 18% of the runs are beginner, 56% intermediate, and 26% expert.
We have both been skiing and snowboarding for many years and we still love the place. Not only for the great snow and challenging terrain, but also because of the friendly atmosphere and last but not least: no long lift queues!
We've put a lot of thought in making the lodge as comfortable as possible, to ensure our guests will have a wonderful, fun and worry free holiday!

Why the Owner Chose Big White
Irma and Nick have been visiting Big White since 2000 when we first discovered - and fell in love with - the resort. As well as a fantastic place for skiing (for Irma) and Boarding (for Nick) it is incredibly child-friendly. We regularly go ice-skating on the outside rink, spend an hour or two on the megasnowcoaster or listen to the great live Apres ski music in Happy Valley.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We love the outside hot tub. The back massagers are very relaxing after a day skiing and boarding.
The views from Blacksmith Lodge are amazing. The fireworks are breathtaking - you can actually see them being launched!
We walk around in socks to enjoy the hot water radiant heated floors.
Owner's Map of Big White
We live in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. Nick is British and Irma is Dutch. We have two children (a boy and girl) who both love travelling and spending time in Big White.
We both work in the airline industry. Irma is cabin crew for KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) and Nick is a longhaul pilot with British Airways.

Stayed for 2 weeks and just had to come back again! #1 Blacksmith lodge has beautiful furnishings, is decorated to an unbeliavable standard and had the best ski access you could imagine. The owners have done a terrific job in making sure everything you need is to hand. The hot tub is soooooo relaxing after a hard day on the slopes and you have to see the views for yourself.
