Why the Owner Chose Nashville

While renovating the condo we followed the antics of 4 Blue Heron who are nesting very close by... we watched baby birds hatching in the tree 5 feet away and marveled at the size of the hawks who glide down the river. The river itself is fascinating too. Everyday you see fisherman, pleasure boats and boats pushing barges that are as big as skyscrapers. We ended up loving this location so much that we converted it to a vacation rental so that we could use it too!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

My husband is an artist who also spent 24 years designing for the music industry so you'll find the condo decorated with original art and a bit of music history.

We always want our guests comfortable and smiling... so if you have any special accommodation requests please email and we'll try to help. Hope to see you soon!

Owner's Map of Nashville

My husband (that's him in the pic!) and i love waterfront living... whether it's an ocean or a creek we find ourselves drawn to it. River front housing in Nashville is a very rare commodity and we feel lucky to have such a great spot on the Cumberland. The location is right across the river from Bell's Bend Nature Center which makes the view beyond the river as beautiful as the river itself.

This was exactly what we were looking for

I highly recommend staying in this clean, nicely decorated, quiet, condo. We travelled 7 hours to be close to our Tennessee family to celebrate a late christmas and this spacious condo afforded us the ability to provide a cozy comfortable atmosphere for all who made their day visits. Unfortunately, my husband and I caught a nasty cold on the second day of our stay and were forced to stay indoors, but we were still enamored by the beautiful scenery from the Cumberland River. The Bluejays were delightful to watch and to observe the old tugboats pushing barges upstream was nostalgic. A great stay!! Cynda was so polite and great to work with. Will book again.

Great Location - Great Owner - Beautiful Condo!!!!

The condo is exactly as pictured! It is tastfully decorated and is well kept and maintained! It was clean and neat when we arrived! Two very spacious bedrooms provided us with plenty of room for our family! If traveling with small children, the owner even provides a high chair, pack & play, and some toys! Even though the condo complex is a little dated, the unit itself has definately been modernized! The location of the condo it great! Yes, it is definately in a "hidden" area of Nashville! You don't feel like you're in the City but you are within 5 - 15 mintues of anything you want to do - Belle Meade, Downtown, etc. Access to I 40 is very easy! The neighborhood seems very safe and quite. We really enjoyed the location! And staying right on the River was a first for us! And provided much entertainment for your 3 year old! He even saw a barge and a boat on the River! I can see how the one reviewer could not see much of the River if the leaves on the trees were in full but when the leaves are off the trees, you have a great view of the River and the nature preserve! It is very peaceful and relaxing! The owner is extremely easy to work with. Answers emails quickly and professionally! The only thing to be cautious of is there was a faint smoke smell in the unit. If you are sensitive to smoke, this may be an issue for you. I suspect that it is from people smoking on the balacony but I am not sure. We really only noticed it our first night/day there and then we were used to it (we are a non-smoking family so we would probably notice it more than other people). This condo is a great value! Great location! Great owner! We would definately stay here again! It is a great alternative to a hotel! And really close to anything you would want to do in Nashville!

I have to say driving into the parking lot we was shocked to say the least. Everything in the description was close to accurate, but I feel that the location did not have the best description. The condo itself was very nice inside, clean and peaceful place to relax. Rooms were good size. Beds were very comfortable. Owner was very helpful on giving directions. The issues we had were that the front door dead bolt did not lock and the microwave needs to be replaced. It would not pop popcorn. There was a different odor in the house, not sure if it was there to cover up smoke, but it was different. I have to say the towels were not the best either, could use some new ones. We had expected to be able to walk along the river but since there was a fence in front of it we could not. So when you look at the picture it is a little deceiving. In the picture that is about all of the river you can see since the trees cover a good portion of it. Also looking at the pool I had the impression that it was a small unit of condos and there were at least a hundred. We have stayed in several VRBO locations and this one would have to be at the bottom of the list.

Owner response:Our appliances are all 2 years old and so we had no idea the microwave did not work. We rely on our guests to inform us and would have replaced the microwave during their stay if we had known. I was able to lock the deadbolt but will still have our maintenance people check it. We often need to spot clean the carpets and did so before this guest arrived. I feel certain that the odor was Resolve Carpet cleaner. It is not an unpleasant smell and usually dissipates within a day. While Nashville is built on the banks of the Cumberland River, it is not a typical river town. There are only 2 condo complexes built on the river and they were both built in the 70's. We think the view is beautiful but because most of the Cumberland shoreline is bluffs, the only place to stroll along the river is downtown at Riverfront Park. In our first communication with potential renters we inform them that our complex has 160 units. However, I am so sorry that this guest did not see that portion of our email as we never want our guests to be disappointed. We take some pride in offering an affordable rental for families visiting Nashville. Our rate is comparable to a single room rental at a local hotel and because of that we host many repeat visitors.

Stayed here in March 2011 and I meant to write a review but kept forgetting. This was a perfect vacation home for our short stay in Nashville. Getting to and from the city and Vanderbilt was a breeze. Owners left detailed information in a folder on the table that included shopping, places of interest,, restaurants etc. The owners were extremely easy to work with and we hope to stay here once again next year!!

Wouldn't stay Anywhere Else in Nashville!

Date of Stay: 01/15/11 Review Submitted: 01/30/11

A friend and I are currently staying in this beautiful condo and I wanted to write my review now for all those considering this place for the spring or summer, JUST DO IT! THE LOCATION/AREA: The condo view is the river with a nature preserve and hills beyond that. With NO road noise you would never know you are in the city. Bird and boat watching or enjoying a book or cup of coffee on the cozy balcony is a joy. The location is close to so much with one direction leading to a Publix grocery and restaurants and a large Target plaza and then a Walmart just beyond that. The other direction is very easy, direct access to Downtown on Charlotte Pike which is nice if you prefer, as I do, to avoid the highways when possible. Access to all Nashville areas is available without using the highway but if you prefer the highway it is very close with easy access through the residential neighborhood. Please note though that it is over a mile to the nearest bus stop. The area is a middle class one versus a "high-end" neighborhood but we feel very comfortable and safe here. And just a little way from the condo complex is the start of a street of fine homes on a road leading to Bellemeade. Truly for the price charged for this lovely condo I do not believe you could do better in Nashville. THE CONDO: The condo is well laid out and updated compared to the age of the complex itself. It is a comfortable 1000 sq ft and perfect for a family of up to 5 or two couples. The pictures do not show the second sofa and desk that are now in the unit. The decor is modern and comfortable with hardwood floors in the living areas and nice tile in the kitchen and bath. The kitchen has newer cabinets and countertop and is VERY well appointed with everything you will need to prepare full meals. The condo was very clean when we arrived with no smell issues inside the unit and we are non-smokers with allergies. If bringing children you will be amazed at all the owners have on hand to help with and entertain little ones. There are 3 tvs with cable, a cd player, dvd player, VHS player and excellent WIFI. The washer and dryer are not in the unit but they are close by in the complex. There is no change machine so bring quarters. THE OWNERS: Could not be nicer. If only all experiences with VRBO could go as smoothly as this one! From start to finish a pleasure to work with. They go out of their way to take care of their guests and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice.

OK stay....

Guest: Lee (Port Orchard WA)
Date of Stay: 09/24/10 Review Submitted: 09/28/10

We appreciated staying here---it is central to many things and suited our needs. We realized up front that the flood did a lot of damage and we were right on the river. The front door does not have a good seal on it and the neighbors smoke on the shared landing/balcony, allowing the cigarette smoke to seap into the condo. We are non-smokers so this was NOT pleasant. The condo always had an odor of stale smoke. Also a faint odor of mold/mildew----wondering if there is more damage to the overhead/ roof(?) as there are water stains on the ceiling. The owners are very kind, and the kitchen has everything you need.

Owner response:Other than this review we have never had a complaint about smoke... or any odors and we haven't had anyone mention it since. The door to our unit was installed and new last year and immediately following this review the seal was checked for damage. The seal is in very good condition. The water stain on the ceiling happened when the roof was replaced in April'10 and the stain has been repainted.

Wonderful Stay!!

Guest: VRBO Regular (South)
Date of Stay: 08/17/10 Review Submitted: 08/24/10

If you are looking for a clean, peaceful place to relax while you explore Nashville, or even while a relative is convalescing in Vanderbilt Hospital, you must consider this condo. It is far nicer than hotels that you will find at the same price point, and the view of the river is an added bonus. The complex is older, but the interior has been completely renovated, and it is clean and comfortable. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure that all of the creature comforts are provided, such as nice sheets, a toaster, blender, coffee, etc. The pictures don’t do the family room justice. There are two love seats and two chairs…plenty of room for a couple with 1 to 2 children, or even two couples. Give it a try and I am sure that you will return!
