Our lakefront home sits on the shores of Okanagan lake, the only thing between you and the water is the beach! With a full kitchen you can enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal. Two spacious bedrooms and a sofa bed will accommodate up to 6 people. A full bathroom with washer and dryer allow you to enjoy all the comforts of home while staying in paradise.

My parents rented this place for a week and had my two older children (10 & 8) stay with them. The space for the four was perfect. They were there during a hot spell and the a/c units worked well to keep the cottage comfortable. The location was great as the kids could play on the playground and be seen from the deck. The place was spotless and there were so many little things, like beach towels, toiletries, spices, plastic plates/cups for the kids, etc. The owners live down the road and mentioned they could ask them for anything, they even offered to grab groceries for them if they needed anything. Super nice people. The water was clean and the beach was great! Lots of shade trees for my dad and a great swim platform with slide and diving board for the kids. Neighbours were all friendly and it was remarkably quiet in the evenings considering the amount of people vacationing there. Ample parking and the boat launch was a breeze. No problem parking the boat trailer. Highly recommend it. They'll likely grab this place again next summer for two weeks instead of one! Also, the restaurant across the street from the Resort ("Sarah's" - I think) was SUPER clean. The ice cream was fantastic and the service was amazing! The place is a little small if you have more than 4 people...but for two adults and two kids it's perfect!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Would love to have this place all to myself and family but unfortunately must share. Wonderful community, gracious hosts, awesome beach with lots of shade and very unique in that it has a swim dock with slide and diving board. Can't think of any other place in the Okanagan where your kids will so easily find new friends. They will spend their entire days on the swim dock and it is just a mere few steps away from your doorstep. Excellent for roller blading, biking, skateboarding, walks and safe enough to let your kids go on their own. Have stayed in many different places over the years in the Okanagan and kids have almost always gotten bored of the same beach and wanted to check out different places. Not the case here, kids had no desire to leave and in the end were not ready to go home. Would recommend this property to anyone, especially families. Thank you so much to our gracious host Bob and Val, shall see you again next year for sure.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Both my husband and I grew up in Vancouver, but we both have always wanted to live on a lake. After years of looking for the 'Perfect' place, we stumbled upon Parker Cove. We purchased property and built our own home there almost 18 years ago. We have enjoyed it so much we decided to purchase a second property to rent out. We absolutely love the Okanagan, it's such a wonderful area of BC. You experience 4 'true' seasons, with the summer being the most lovely.
Why the Owner Chose Vernon:
We chose to buy property here because we live here. It is the most beautiful place in the summer time. This location outside of town is perfect! You enjoy the private beach with all it's amenities and don't have to fight for 'towel space' on the hottest days!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The single most benefit to our property is that lakefront has it's privileges! You can watch the waves with a cup of coffee in the front room, you can BBQ on the deck while watching the water. You can see the kids at the playground, even call them for supper without a phone! Parker Cove is one of the last few places that you can let your kids wander a bit further without having to worry. With a real sense of community, you'll never want to leave!
