Our family of 9 from age 2 to 80 absolutely loved this home. There was room for gathering and room for privacy. The furnishings are top of the line and beautiful. Cooking was a joy in the well equipped kitchen. We walked the beach, built sand castles, flew kites, made s'mores over the beach fire, watched the sunsets from the hot tub. Who could ask for anything more? It was totally relaxing.

My wife, two daughters, son-in-law, and two granddaughters and I stayed at the house for a week in July 2011 and booked a week next year as soon as we got home. The place is as advertised and more. Very comfortable and spacious. We were able to have our own space when desired. The view of the ocean and beach from the living room, dining room and hot tub was spectacular. Check out the picture on this page, what you see there is what you get. The beach was easily accessable and not crowded. Definitely a great place to vacation. The amenities in house were top notch. nothing I would ask to have changed or improved.

This home is well cared for and is outstanding for all amenities, comfort and condition. It is wonderful to locate a vacation property that you know you will definitely want to go again. The floor plan and design allows great ambience for socializing in the kitchen, dining and living rooms, while the location of bedrooms provides total privacy from other guests. The deck and hot tub are an extension of additional living space that brings the outside in and you'll want to enjoy with the maticulous landscaping and ocean within easy access. The kitchen is completely furnished with everything you would need, and towels, linnens and bedding are high quality, not worn or damaged. Bed's outstanding comfort. Loved the indoor atrium. Don't pass up the opportunity to visit this home, it is worth it.

Electrical not working, deposit return delay, caution

We loved the view, but there were significant maintenance issues and terribly slow return of deposit. Despite the great location, would not rent from this owner again. Arrived for a 4-day weekend in late October 2010 expecting a blustery, rainy, but a great view. Immediately discovered that the outlets in the living room area "sizzled" when a laptop was plugged in. Not good. Instead used battery power and plugged into dining room to recharge. That night the lights in the master bedroom were dead. Then discovered the entire living room (HDTV, wifi, lights) also had no power. Tried the breakers. No success. Called the owner next morning. Got return call in a couple of hours. Said she would try to send someone out. Didn't hear from her again until Sunday noon. Missed all the football games, no wifi, no lights. This wasn't a cheap rental. Unplugged a hall night light and discovered the power flickered back on. Obviously there was a short in the wiring somewhere. We should have left as the sparking could have caused a fire. Instead we drove to town on Sunday and bought a long extension cord to connect the TV and wifi, but no lights in the two rooms for the remainder of stay. Owner called Sunday noon. Brother came by and confirmed we weren't lying. We had no TV, wifi, living room lights or bedroom lights for most of our stay. We received no compensation. The washer was full of wet towels and smelled of mildew. Yuck. Instructions said to wash ALL the linens from bed, bath and kitchen before departing or pay $50/load. OMG! Checkout is 11am. Consider this and plan to pay $100 from your deposit or get up really early. Had to open the shower drain in the master bath and use a wire coat hanger to pull up a big wad of hair. Gross. The owner provided no receipt for the payment or the security deposit. Finally received the deposit FIVE WEEKS later. A check in an envelope and no "sorry for the house issues." We just returned from a two week rental on Moorea in Tahiti. The owner lives in France. All receipts were prompt, owner solicitousl. Deposit was returned in THREE DAYS by PayPal. Amazing difference.
Owner response:There were no electrical issues prior to this party and when they left the issues mysteriously resolved. We did have our electrician come check all the electrical at great expense and he found nothing wrong. This was a ploy to stay at our home for free. And she left 5 loads of laundry which I should have charged her for and am sorry now that I was so generous in not charging her. As far as deposits being returned we return all of them at the same time for the previous month so as not to forget anyone. To hold deposits for 30 -45 days is normal in the vacation rental business. It is a privilege to stay in our home not a right. I would never have this party back in my home . Our home is one of the most beautiful and possibly the best 180 degree view in all of Arch Cape. The pictures don't even get close to how pretty this house is, the view is amazing!!! I spent a wonderful weekend here. The kitchen is my favorite spot, I really enjoyed cooking with this beautiful ocean view. Setting the table for dinner was great this house has really nice china. The living room was really pretty, with that ocean view. The house was so clean and fresh. My bed was so comfortable I forgot were I was. The weekend was so relaxing. I spent the weekend thinking of remodeling my house to look like this beautiful home. Stephany was very helpful with our stay she was easy to get a hold of for questions. Clean up was made easy with two washers and two dryers.

Great pet friendly house

We rented this house with a 5 month old child. It is partly my fault for not understanding that pet-friendly would mean that the floors weren't up to the standards I'd like before putting my child on the floor. We spent a lot of time with her on a blanket and us sitting on the carpets, they are very dirty. Covered in pet hair and spots around. However, adults who sit on furniture and wear shoes will not be disappointed, the house is gorgeous, the kitchen marvelous, and the views positively unbeatable. We loved everything about the house except for the pet-friendly aspect...
Owner response:Unfortunately this guest did not realize that the carpets are newer and still shedding. What she thought was dog hair was not in anyway from a dog, it was carpet fibers. The house is professionally cleaned after every group and the floors are mopped and vacuumed. This beach front home is absolutely gorgeous and my pride and joy and it is a privilege to rent. I was just in the home on March 14th and the carpets are in great shape and this vacationer did not bring my attention to this before I went down there, so I did not notice anything like a stain. If you are a renter with a baby, I would always recommend bringing your own pack-n-play to keep your child safe.

I would totally recommend this house to anyone who is interested in a great view of the ocean, hot tub on the deck and a beautiful home. The kitchen has been remodeled and is perfect for entertaining. We had 10 people over the weekend and there was plenty of room. The kids room upstairs was really fun for them to play in. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend and this place was the cornerstone of our vacation. Thanks!

For my daughter's 1st birthday we decided her first trip to the Oregon coast was in order. We made the trek along with my parents and my partner's grandfather and absolutely loved the property! The view absolutely can't be beat- watching the sunset every night was a treat. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and the kids room is a great room for older kids. The open layout of the living room, family room, and kitchen with the view overlooking the ocean was perfect for hanging out and relaxing. And the house was already pretty baby-proof and required only a few things moved around so my daughter could roam and explore. We would book again!
