Ile Saint Louis is one of the most upscale and sought after locations in central Paris. Some people say it resembles a village within the heart of Paris due to the island location.This apartment is the lowest priced two Bedroom luxury apartment on the Island
This apartment is on the top floor of an 18th Century building which was totally renovated and reconfigured in 2005. It is extremely secure, having both a main door entry code and a second code to use the modern elevator, as well as surveillance cameras in hallways . The street below has a good amount of foot and vehicular traffic during the day, yet it quiet at night after all the restaurants close.You can see the Seine from the Living room and Dining room windows
You can quickly walk to the Marais, Saint Michel, Notre Dame, Opera Bastille and the Metro if you are looking for bigger night life. The Grands Magazins on Blvd Haussman, the Louvre and Opera Garnier are all straight shots on the Metro. We are near 3 metro stations-- Saint Paul on line one and Sully Morland and Pont Marie, both on line 7. In addition, there are five bus lines within five minutes walk.
The apartment is 70 m2 (760 ft2) and is very well laid out with no wasted space. We'll fax you a floor plan on request. The apartment sleeps six easily with two bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room. The master bedroom is large and has a small balcony. The 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and a view . Both bedrooms have large closets .
From the living room, dining room and 2nd bedroom you can see the spires of Notre Dame Cathedral and the tip of the Eiffel Tower. , as well as some of the river Seine at Pont de la Tournelle
There are hardwood floors in the foyer, living room and dining room. There is carpet in the bedrooms and slate floors in the bathroom and kitchen.
The all electric kitchen is very large and modern with black granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a four-burner stove and oven. The refrigerator is standard by American standards, which means it's enormous by French standards.
The glass dining room table seats six with comfortable upholstered leather chairs.
Included are WiFi and cable TV with many channels such as CNN, CNBC and BBC, and free unlimited phone calls to USA and Canada .
The bathroom has a tub and shower, and a washer and a dryer. There is an iron, ironing board and a hair dryer.

We stayed here one week in July and it was wonderful. The location is superb, as there are restaurants, bakeries, shops nearby, as well as metro stations very close. The amenities are great too. Washer and dryer are necessity for a weeklong stay. The apartment is very secure and comfortable. We enjoyed making simple breakfasts in the well equipped kitchen and visited the nearby bakery, (just down the street!) for bread and pastries. (they open at 7). It was nice to be close to the ice cream shop Berthillon (the real one). Whenever we walked by and the line was short, we'd stop and get some. We liked the rooftop view. We had to sleep with the windows open on a few warm nights, so there would be street noise in the living room and the twin bedded room. It's quiet with the windows closed though. We loved the building's entryway with the library mailboxes. Clever! The apartment is also close to Notre Dame and we'd go there in the evenings to watch the street performers. Very entertaining! All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here. Jeannette was great to work with and we got our deposit back so fast! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the towels were thick and luxurious. The location was amazing, and Jeannette could not have been more helpful. She responded promptly to emails and offered many helpful tips and recommendations. We will definitely try and rent this apartment again, and recommend it without any reservations.

This apartment is in the perfect location with wonderful sights and sounds all around. The apartment was in a nice building, but the bathroom had black mold around the shower, there were water stains and peeling paint on ceilings, the carpet dirty, and washer broken. Make sure you document all broken and dirty items ON YOUR FIRST DAY OF ARRIVAL with an email, or the owner will claim you did them and take your deposit.
Owner response:These people broke the washing machine , a front loading machine , by either kicking it because it was too slow , or trying to force open the door before the cycle finished . I took pictures of the extensive damage and can forward them to VRBO if they would like me to . I was there in the apartment doing laundry the day before these people arrived , and the washer was totally intact, the kitchen sink firmly in place . We had to replace the washing machine ,we bought a new WHIRLPOOL , as Darty Serviceman said the broken door was likely to start leaking water and flood the floor below us at any time . These renters did not tell me about the broken washer until the night before they were due to leave, when they called me to ask to order them a taxi , which I did . Our cleaners also found that the kitchen sink( stainless steel and Undermounted ) had come out of its attachment during their stay,.but we did not charge them for this . Our contractor said it was malicious damage caused by someone throwing a heavy item into it , but we accepted the renters contention that the glue holding it in was "weak " .We paid the 70 E charge to the contractor, it was quite a difficult procedure for him to reinstall the sink We always return deposits in full and on time, unless damage such as this occurs that is not normal wear and tear Jeannette
