We just returned home from 10 wonderful days in Paris. We four ladies, all related, travel together once a year to somewhere special. This year it was Paris. Being able to call this lovely two bedroom apartment our home in Paris was a major part of making this trip perfect. (no, not perfect: it rained alot.. The apartment met and exceeded our expectations. It is fully equipped, complete with a great washer-dryer and dishwasher. It is very nicely furnished and has total charm. There was enough room for all four of us to be comfortable together and not get in each other's way. There is a very nice elevator. Both the building entrance and the elevator require a code, so the building is very secure, and clearly it is very well cared-for. The location can't be beat. Metro stations on both sides of the river are very close by. If i could own an apartment in Paris, i would be thrilled to have this one. Our dealings with the owner have been most agreeable, and she has been available and responsive to all our questions re the apartment and about Paris. All four of us recommend this apartment without hesitation. without reservation.
Owner response:Thankyou for your very nice review of the apartment . We were especially pleased as we know that New Yorkers have very high standards Hope that you four ladies will decide to return to our place in Paris soon jeannette

I HAVE JUST SPENT ONE OF THE MOST PERFECT MONTHS WITH MY HUSBAND IN PARIS IN THIS LIGHT ,BRIGHT ,WONDERFULLY EQUIPPED APARTMENT RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF PARIS.FROM THE MOMENT YOU BWALK OUT OF THE ELEVATOR ,ALONG THE SIXTH FLOOR AND OPEM THE DOOR TO THE APARTMENT THE LIGHT STREAMS IN THROUGH THE WINDOWS AND YOU CAN GAZE AT pARIS ROOFTOPS IN EVERY DIRECTION.SITTING AT THE DINING TABLE I WOULD LOOK AT THE NOTRE DAME EVERY EVENING,GLOWING BEYOND THE SLATED ROOVES,AND OLD CHIMNEY STACKS.THE APARTMENT ITSELF HAD EVERYTHING WE WANTED,COMPFY BEDS, MODERN EQUIPPED KITCHEN ,AN EASY LIVING ROOM ,JUST RIGHT TO SINK IN AFTER A DAY,S WALKING THE STREETS ,AND UP TO DATE MODERN BATHROOM. THERE WAS NOTHING THAT DID NOT WORK, COMPUTER WIRE UP, TV ,WASHER AND DRIER. AND THE BEST OF ALL, TWENTY FEET FROM THE SECURE FRONT DOOR ON RUE DES DEUX PONTS,I COULD BUY GROCERIES, FRESH VEGETABLES AND CHEESE, HAVE A CREPE ,A DRINK OR A FAMOUS SORBET AT BERTHILLONS,JUST ANOTHER TWENTY AROUND THE CORNER. THE APARTMENT WAS IN THE CENTRE OF ILE ST LOUIS, A PARADISE THAT WE WATCHED CHANGE FROM A WINTER ISLAND HOME TO A FULL SPRING PARADISE AS WE LEFT AT THE END OF MARCH. JUST AT THE END OF THE STREET IS THE SMALL BRIDGE THAT LEADS OFF THE ISLAND TO NOTRE DAME.ANOTHER BRIDGE TAKES YOU TO THE LEFT BANK AND A THIRD TO THE RIGHT BANK AND THE LOUVRES.WE WALKED EVERYWHERE,ALWAYS ENDING FOR A DRINK AT ONE OF OUR FAVORITE BRASSERIES ON OUR OWN ISLAND.OUR FAVOIRTE WAS THE ST REGIS.THE APARTMENT OWNERS WERE MORE THAN HELPFUL,LEAVING NOTHING TO THE IMAGINATION IN THE THE INFORMATION THEY PROVIDED AT THE START OF THE RENTAL. THEY INCLUDED CLEANING IN THE RENTAL FEES, AND THE PLACE WAS SPARKLING WHEN WE ARRIVED.WE HAD VISITORS FROM ENGLAND, WHO ONE AND ALL, WANTED TO COME BACK THEMSELVES .WE HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO EVERYONE AND WILL COME AGAIN OURSELVES.THE PHOTOGRAPHS ,ALTHOUGH DOING JUSTICE TO THE APARTMENT ,CANNOT REFLECT ITS SPIRIT. YOU MUST GO THERE TO FEEL THE SPIRIT JUST AS WE DID.

We stayed here one week in July and it was wonderful. The location is superb, as there are restaurants, bakeries, shops nearby, as well as metro stations very close. The amenities are great too. Washer and dryer are necessity for a weeklong stay. The apartment is very secure and comfortable. We enjoyed making simple breakfasts in the well equipped kitchen and visited the nearby bakery, (just down the street!) for bread and pastries. (they open at 7). It was nice to be close to the ice cream shop Berthillon (the real one). Whenever we walked by and the line was short, we'd stop and get some. We liked the rooftop view. We had to sleep with the windows open on a few warm nights, so there would be street noise in the living room and the twin bedded room. It's quiet with the windows closed though. We loved the building's entryway with the library mailboxes. Clever! The apartment is also close to Notre Dame and we'd go there in the evenings to watch the street performers. Very entertaining! All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here. Jeannette was great to work with and we got our deposit back so fast! Thank you!
Owner response:Thanks Michele and family , you explained perfectly all that is so great about the apartment Please come back again soon -jeannette

This apartment is in the perfect location with wonderful sights and sounds all around. The apartment was in a nice building, but the bathroom had black mold around the shower, there were water stains and peeling paint on ceilings, the carpet dirty, and washer broken. Make sure you document all broken and dirty items ON YOUR FIRST DAY OF ARRIVAL with an email, or the owner will claim you did them and take your deposit.
Owner response:These people broke the washing machine , a front loading machine , by either kicking it because it was too slow , or trying to force open the door before the cycle finished . I took pictures of the extensive damage and can forward them to VRBO if they would like me to . I was there in the apartment doing laundry the day before these people arrived , and the washer was totally intact, the kitchen sink firmly in place . We had to replace the washing machine ,we bought a new WHIRLPOOL , as Darty Serviceman said the broken door was likely to start leaking water and flood the floor below us at any time . These renters did not tell me about the broken washer until the night before they were due to leave, when they called me to ask to order them a taxi , which I did . Our cleaners also found that the kitchen sink( stainless steel and Undermounted ) had come out of its attachment during their stay,.but we did not charge them for this . Our contractor said it was malicious damage caused by someone throwing a heavy item into it , but we accepted the renters contention that the glue holding it in was "weak " .We paid the 70 E charge to the contractor, it was quite a difficult procedure for him to reinstall the sink We always return deposits in full and on time, unless damage such as this occurs that is not normal wear and tear Jeannette

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the towels were thick and luxurious. The location was amazing, and Jeannette could not have been more helpful. She responded promptly to emails and offered many helpful tips and recommendations. We will definitely try and rent this apartment again, and recommend it without any reservations.
Owner response:Thanks Mandy, for taking such good care of everything was a pleasure to meet you all jeannette

The apartment was great. It was simple and had most of our needs .More towels would have been good Our trip went very well. The washing machine was a little difficult to figure out , but I managed to do a load . Thanks for all your help. Paris was wonderful - the weather, the lines , the location , the locals- all were better than expected (owner's note, more towels are on the way )

I have just returned to work and it is hard to settle back into routine ., The apartment was great and my family really enjoyed their time there. Now a lot of our friends are being converted to staying in apartments overseas rather than in hotels

It is a priviledge to be able to travel to France and to live like a native and stay in a beautiful , prestigious environment in the middle of 2000 plus years of history . We thoroughly enjoyed it - I cant wait to go back . I appreciate your responsiveness to every issue we had whilst staying in the apartment
