Great apartment, great location

We enjoyed out week in this apartment. Two blocks away is a lovely patisserie for your daily baguette, and a great view of the Eiffel Tower as well. The metro stations were very convenient. There is no ventilator in the bathroom, so leave the door ajar when you're not home. The kitchen has a ventilator. The washing machine was confusing to this non-European, maybe leave some directions. The courtyard includes the rubbish bin room, so occasionally you hear people put their garbage there, but otherwise very private. Thanks for the local phone number so we could meet once we arrived at the location. Altogether a successful experience! Enjoy Paris!

Great little apartment for exploring the city

My girlfriend and I stayed for 9 nights in this cute little apartment and we found it delightful. The kitchen was well equipped for whipping up simple meals and everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean and convenient, obviously renovated recently as was the kitchen. There are plenty of places to eat and buy groceries nearby and the metro is close enough to be convenient for getting anywhere in the city. The market just around the corner is great for finding interesting fresh produce and the Eiffel Tower is within walking distance (though we do like to walk), just make sure you remember the way home after. All in all a great place to stay if you want to feel independent and a little homey on your trip to the city of Paris, we enjoyed it greatly and we hope you do too.

Compact Base for Paris

Spent 8 nights in this cozy apartment in March. It is located within the courtyard of a substantial well kept apartment building, so essentially on the ground floor. It has an updated little kitchen, main room has bed and dining table, and nice little loft space for additional sleeping on a futon and storing your suitcases. The loft overlooks the main room. This place is mostly very quiet due to its location off the street - the only exception is when people drop off their garbage-recycling in the adjacent communal area (minor irritant). The apartment is best for a couple, or couple with children who don't mind being in close quarters. The bathroom is modern, right off the main room. There is no view from this apartment, window opens to the courtyard - fine with us, we are out all day. Our style in Paris is to be mostly out and about all day, take a break in the late afternoon or evening, and go out again at night, until we are totally exhausted! We like to have some meals at the apartment to save money. There is a fabulous street market around the corner Thursdays and Sats, with everything you need, whether you want to cook yourself or purchase cooked meats. Great veggies and fruit, dried fruit, cheeses etc. Really, this market has everything, and feels local, not touristy. Several small supermarkets and commercial center nearby, all easy walking distance. "Orange" cell phone store is 10 minute walk in the commercial center. Suggestion for improvement at the apartment - better selection of pots, pans, and knives/utensils for the guests who like to cook. Transportation: 2 metros very close by - Paris metro is not great from a cleanliless point of view as it used to be - we prefer taking the bus when possible, plus you can see more - convenient bus stop that takes you to the heart of the left bank is a few blocks, maybe 10 minutes by foot. The neighborhood feels upscale, very safe. Ambitious walkers (we are) can get to the Eiffel Tower in 20-25 minutes, we walked several times over towards left bank, Louvre etc, and took bus home to save time. Tip: consider buying a Guide Routard for Paris if you speak or read French passably - we did this for the first time on this trip and found some good restaurants with it. We (married couple) stayed at the Rosa Bonheur apartment for 8 nights in September 2009. We found the apartment to be well located at the edge of the 7er, and very close to the Segur metro station, which ended up being very very convenient. The general surrounding areas around Ave de Suffren & Ave de Breteuil were both delightful and very safe. Access to supermarkets and general food shopping was relatively close and varied. A couple of nearby boulangeries topped it off. The apartment itself (although smallish) appeared newly renovated, was safe and very clean. All mod cons were available including cooking appliances, big screen TV and internet connection. The apartment also had a washing machine which we appreciated greatly. We had a wonderful time at this apartment, and would highly recommend it as a fantastic alternative to a hotel room. We would without hesitation stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small apartment as a hotel room alternative.

The apartment is small but very nice for two or three people. It is in a nice place, one minute far from metro, supermarket and good restaurants. Furnitures are essential but useful. Host person is very nice and helpful and speak Englis but contact person does not speak English (French only). I suggest the apartment for a romantic vacation.

This apartment was quite comfortable, quiet, and well laid-out with an extra loft in addition to the main bedroom. All the appliances are new. The owner, Mme Lebrand, was courteous and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here very much, and would recommend it to others.
