The Dream house is located 200 meters from the nice white sandy Caribbean beaches and is surrounded by beautiful tropical rainforest. The Dream house has one floor. It has a surface of 60 sq. meters and can keep up to 3 persons.

There is one big bedroom. The bedroom has one king-size bed and a one single bed or 3 single beds and hot shower, toilet and sink. Fully equipped kitchen and it has an open living area.

The big porch has a hammock and rocking chairs . It has a beautiful nature view on the tropical gardens. It gives a lot of privacy and comfort. The bedroom can be locked completely and it has a safety box. All the beds are covered with mosquito nets and the house is well screened. Fresh linen and towels will be provided and soaps are included.

Congo Bongo is located 3 1/2 hours south east of San Jose in the Gandoca Manzanillo wildlife refuge at the Caribbean coast. On our property of 15 acre we have many flowers, fruit and giant Rain forest trees.

We have a private walkway to the quiet, unspoiled beach, featuring the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea. The best snorkeling in the area can be found right offshore. The sea water is safe and no riptide or dangerous coral reefs are reported.

The private walkway to the beach (just 200 meters) leads you through the garden, full with flowers, trees, butterflies, monkeys and much more…………
All day you are surrounded by the sounds of creeks and birds and sometimes a group of howler monkeys will pass by. All of this will make you feel relaxed and be a part of nature yourself. The houses offering you all the comfort, privacy and safety you need in this part of the world. The area is also safe for children, so don’t be afraid to bring them along. They will love it.

The wetlands and surrounding forest areas contain a great diversity of species, many only locally sited, endemic to this area: crocodiles, alligators, otters, wild bores, ocelots, pumas, pacas, sloths, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, white-throated capuchin monkeys, and numerous other species of birds, reptiles and amphibians.

Manzanillo (1km) is a small fishing village with restaurants, grocers, a dive shop and a boutique. Town children play soccer on the beach day and night in front of Maxi's famous seafood restaurant. During weekends it is crowed with local people who like to spend time on the beach and in the bar.

Puerto Viejo (12 km) there you will find a Bank, doctor, drugstore, boutiques, bars, restaurants, supermarket and nightlife. The property of Congo-Bongo is 13 acre we build five beautiful and comfortable private houses for you to stay. The comfortable houses are in the middle of the Jungle and next to beautiful and unspoiled white sandy Caribbean beach.

All of this together Congo Bongo is offering you a private home to stay, in the middle of natural beauty of nature itself. By the way, Congo means “howler monkey” in Spanish and Bongo is the rhythm of the Jungle.
