  We loved the place from the first pictures we seen on the VRBO add and when we really turned in the drive way for the first time dreams came through. The color of the home surrounded by lush green plants, flowers, birds singing, and the awesome blues of the ocean are really dream inspiring. I am disable and use a cane, I had no problem getting around and really loved the lava rock stairs down to the beach. We also enjoyed the covered patio rain or sunshine. thank you Karin for what I tell everyone is the best vacation I ever had. We have always loved and dreamed of Hawaii since we were children and your home was the cherry on top of the cake we call Oahu. We highly recommend this home to vacationers especially those with a dream...Mahalo Nui Loa!

  This Beach House is AWESOME and a DREAM come true!! This beautiful home has every amenity imaginable with fantastic ocean and mountain views. The house is clean and comfortable with a tasteful decor, and if it weren't for the fact that I had never been to Hawaii before and wanted to see all the amazing sites, I would have been quite content staying at this home enjoying all it's beauty and serenity.We hated to leave this perfect beach haven in the countryside of Oahu. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. All the furnishings are top quality! A lot of care went into this home. Mahalo Karin

  We had a wonderful time in this house, although just fyi the park next door can get a little loud on Saturday nights when the locals come to camp. The house was spotless, the owner very helpful and available, and the privacy of the beach perfect. We were able to snorkel on the calmer days from our backyard! Highly recommend if you want to get away from the Waikiki madness.

  Scratch Hawaii off the Bucket list - G'ma treated her entire family to a wonderful Hawaiian vacation and no better place than the cottage in Kaaawa. My mother,sister, her husband, my two adult children, and myself were transported back to old Hawaii (with modern conveniences). From the furnishings and decor, to the kitchen and bathrooms, the owner has put much attention in creating a home for us albeit temporary. To add to the experience there is a lizard that has taken up residence above the master shower and a rooster that lives next door that reminds you to brew your coffee (or make your mai tai) and prepare yourself for the amazing sunrise. The mountain views are just as spectacular. Uncle Bobo's BBQ is directly across the street for delicious ribs and brisket. He has a great blend of coffee and shave ice. Crouching Lion up the Hwy makes a great mai tai. The cottage is convenient to the Polynesian Cultural Center and we made a few trips back to Honolulu to visit the USS Arizona memorial and Waikiki beach for an outrigger canoe ride. We had an unusual amount of rain and wind for the first few days of our stay evening activities included a rousing games of monopoly and poker. On our final evening (not wanting the trip to end), the poker game was moved outside under a star lit sky until midnight. Thanks Karin for returning the wheelchair for us and for sharing your wonderful piece of the planet - we all hope to return someday. With much Aloha, Scott and family

  We spent one week at Karin's house in Kaawaa. It was awesome! The house is very comfortable, even for six adults. It is right next to the ocean and surrounded by a beautiful garden. It was our first time spending a whole week in Oahu, so we did quite a bit of visiting. However, we would definitely like to come back just to spend more time around the house. The kitchen was well furnished and had everything we needed to cook a great meal. We barely ate outside for that reason. The BBQ was particularly useful. And we loved the coffee machine. Internet was fast and constant and was useful to us to plan. The backyard was really the jewel of the stay. We ate there when we could and even went down to the beach at night to have a private cocktail with the waves lapping at our feet. There were NO mosquitoes and although the house is next to the Kamehameha Hwy, we never heard any traffic. All in all, next time we're back, we'll definitely stay again. Ky Nam and family

  my and i returned here for a second time for a month and met up with college classmates of 50 years ago. one couple was from texas and stayed a week with us, what a wonderful time we all had including two other couples from oahu for dinner and other sea turtle sitings. friends are forever and this cottage made the month's stay so very enjoyable. would do this again but for even longer than a month. karen is a wonderful landlord and very attentive to all requests. the house is fabulous and spacious and inviting for a group gathering. again i would do this again but for longer. mahalo!

  I can't say enough great things about this home. What a beautiful place. The owner is so gacious and followed up with us throughout the months leading up to the trip. She called us when we arrived to make sure we had what we needed and again before we left to ensure we had a nice stay. We took 4 of our teenage kids and they had a blast. The house had enough beds for all the kids to have their own and for my husband and I to have a nice quiet room facing the ocean. We ate all of our dinners outside which was so amazing and spent time exploring the beach area in the backyard. I would highly recommend this location and home for a wonderful trip to Oahu!

  My entire family came to the island to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We had such an enjoyable time. Never did I expect such a lovely place and the views were spectacular. I truly never wanted to go anywhere! I totally enjoyed the "private" beach and the fact that we had direct access to a store if need be. I would definately come back again and rent this home!

  My Husband, daughter and I spent the first half of our Hawaii vacation here and could not have been happier. This was our 5th experience with VRBO home rentals in Hawaii and by far the best. The home is very well maintained; Very clean and comfortable inside and out. The owner Karin was great with communication via email and phone. We would definately stay at this beautiful vacation home again.
