This stunning 3 level villa in the center of historic San Gil, Santander was constructed and reformed in 2008 by the architect Daniel Parra Olarte. Built entirely of local natural materials such as adobe, barreque, lumber, and terra cotta tiles this house is naturally cool during the day and cozy at night.
There are impressive views over San Gil's historic center and cathedral and stretching into the nearby Andes mountains. The house features 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms spread over 5000 interior square feet and 1500 exterior square feet. All of the rooms have wonderful views and surround the houses centerpiece which is a 30 foot pool that is topped by a jacuzzi and 15 foot glass tiled waterfall. There is a large open kitchen and ample living and dining area and also a hammock lounge. The house has a devoted WIFI signal and a two car automatic parking garage.
Private maid service available for an extra $20 per day.

My wife and her family have a coffee farm in Santander and have spent the last 30 years making a home in San Gil. We live in Manhattan and come down as often as we can. We are happy to share our home with responsible groups of people who appreciate the comforts of a private home and are fans of eco-friendly and restoration architecture.
Why the Owner Chose San Gil
We love Colombia and Santander. We have an organic coffee farm in the area and have made it our home away from the US and a wonderful retreat. The reason we bought this particular property was due to its proximity to the center of San Gil and its unique topographic qualities. This house is situated on a corner lot and also at the crest of a hill which affords it magnificent views towards the mountains and right over the town's cathedral.
