The main house has a cathedral-ceiling living room with a river rock fireplace, a library, a large gourmet kitchen, a game room with surround-sound Home Theatre TV, and a dining room that seats 12. The master bedroom also has a large river rock fireplace. The guest house has its own living room, dining area, and kitchenette. Featured in "Leading Estates of the World," and furnished with leather, Turkish rugs, Chinese antiques, and artifacts from around the world, Stargazer Ranch is a comfortable yet elegant setting for your next vacation.
Drive through spectacular scenery on your way to and from the slopes, and when you arrive at the ranch, enjoy a cozy fire, take in the wildlife and panoramic views from the large outdoor hot tub on the deck, or watch the kids sled or build a snowman out back.
Stargazer Ranch is an ideal location from which to access the excitement of the Sundance Film Festival and the Jordanelle Reservoir, as well as miles of great downhill and cross country skiing and snowboarding. In summer, the Jordanelle provides all types of boating, swimming, and water-skiing - and the High Uinta Mountains (a wilderness area of crystal mountain lakes, rushing waterfalls, and meadows full of alpine flowers) are just 35 minutes away. Mountain breezes and low humidity make Stargazer Ranch the perfect summer locale.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Utah has, of course, "The Greatest Snow on Earth" - and our home is just 40 minutes from the Salt Lake airport. Many airlines fly here non-stop. Skies are nearly always "Utah Blue" and the high desert climate (chilly in the morning, delicious during the day, and chilly at night - at every season), with its low humidity, makes it perfect.
The Unique Benefits at this House
For us, it's all about family! In the winter, of course, we ski - we love the fires and the hot tub - and the grandchildren can play to their hearts' content on our 50 acres, while their parents relax indoors. In the summer, we run a "Cousins' Camp" for all the grandchildren, who come from all over the country. We don't allow their parents to come! We have the most wonderful time: hiking, biking, swimming at the Kamas Swim Center 5 min away, boating on the Jordanelle, rafting, etc. And there's nothing so wonderful as having the whole place to ourselves - the big sky, the mountains, the crisp air (even on summer mornings and evenings)...and the peacefulness. Ahhhhh...

Last year I went to Sundance and stayed at your 50 acre ranch outside of Park City. It was great to have such an awesome place to retreat to after a day of deal making. It sleeps over a dozen people, has all the amenities one needs - including a full gourmet kitchen, media room, fireplaces and a hot tub. No neighbors anywhere close, so we could just relax and take in the scenery or play the stereo really loud. It is about an easy 10 minute drive to festival parking, I imagine future Sundance participants enjoying this ranch as either a place to escape from the noise, or to create a special event to "seal the deal". I can't recommend it enough!

Everyone in our group had a fantastic vacation. I have been arranging this annual trip for 3 years and they all said it was the best one so far. Our expectations were met far beyond what we could have imagined! Your home is designed perfectly for families or groups; it is wonderful and inviting. The kitchen and appliances were well stocked and the setting was peaceful and relaxing. All the attention to detail you have put into your home reflects your love and hard work. Your property was the perfect setting for sledding...thanks for providing the sleds. We loved visiting and will definitely tell our friends about your beautiful home.

We had a wonderful time at Stargazer Ranch! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! We skied, snowshoed, and even did the Olympic bobsled run. It was a great time with great friends! We will be back. This home has all the amenities. We cooked at home every night and there was everything we needed! The things we liked best were: The solitude of the ranch. The hot tub to soak our tired bones. There was enough room for each of us to have our own bedroom. Your property manager was very responsive to our needs. We had to call her to get the driveway cleared of snow. They were out immediately. She checked on us several times. She was great! As I said, we will ALL be back. We loved it!

This is the most amazing place I have ever seen. So peaceful. The first night, I had the very best sleep that I have had in a long time and woke to the most amazing morning here at Stargazer. The Colorado Stampede Girls Fastpitch Softball Team will always remember our daily team hikes in the hills spotting wildlife and our nightly campfires making s’mores! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay at Stargazer. Everything was awesome! We love it and can't wait until next year.* * this was their 3rd year at Stargazer.

We just wanted to drop you a note telling you how much we enjoyed staying at Stargazer. We had 8 adults and 4 children and everyone enjoyed the experience. Our daughters were very pleased that the kids could be outside where it was safe from cars, etc. The kids also enjoyed the freedom of being outside after skiing and being able to run and play in the snow. The kitchen facilities were great and we enjoyed a lot of good meals while there. We all would love to come back again.

Your house is absolutely perfect for our family of 8 adults and 4 children. The kitchen has everything we needed, the furnishings are cozy, comfortable and family-friendly. The TV/Playroom is wonderful for the early risers in the bunch and the hot tub is just the icing on the cake. Last but not least, the hills and trails outside are the ideal places to explore. It is pure heaven. We loved being able to all be together but not on top of each other. It felt very cozy but with plenty of breathing room. And the venue really is special one. Being able to walk out the back door for a great run or hike was ideal. And while we were outside of town, it didn't feel like it was too far from the grocery store or attractions in Park City. Your property manager is a gem. She is friendly, warm and very professional. We had several questions about little pesky details which she attended to with much grace and patience. From the get-go, working with you has been such a pleasure and everything described in the VRBO listing met or far exceeded our expectations. In fact, the pictures do not do the house or the venue justice. Please keep it on VRBO for future visits! Thanks so much for everything. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to gather together from all parts of the country in your beautiful and welcoming home.
