Lovely family home with four bedrooms, den, two and a half baths and unparalleled lake views. The house is beautifully landscaped with two large decks overlooking a green belt and the lake.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a sub zero refrigerator and two ovens. The kitchen, dining room and half bath are on street level. Downstairs there are four bedrooms, two baths, a den and laundry area. There are 2 kings, 1 queen futon and 1 double bed. The master bedroom has a large deck with a hot tub. There is access to the lawn area for the kids to play.
There is a safety gate at the top of the stairs upon request. All decks are child safe with gates. Other "baby stuff" is available upon request.
The house is located a few blocks from the pool and tennis area. Wonderful mountain biking is available a short distance away. There are miles of trails that enter the Tahoe Cross Country Center. A paved bike path goes from the entrance to Dollar Point to Tahoe City and then continues for miles down West shore or follows along the Truckee River to Squaw Valley. There are additional tennis courts overlooking the Dollar Point beach and pier.The house is close to Alpine, Squaw as well as North Star. The X Country Nordic Center is less than 5 minutes away. Great for year round fun.

Why the Owner Chose Dollar Point
Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I love living in Dollar Point because it is centrally located between the ski areas, close to town and very close to the Nordic Center. The mountain biking is wonderful just across the highway. Dollar Point has some of the best amenities in Tahoe with a beautiful pool as well as a private beach/pier. There are two tennis courts, one at the pool and the other is located at the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I would say the unique benefit of my home is the panoramic view of the lake and the oversized deck. My house overlooks a green belt with no wires or houses obstructing the view. There is nothing like having breakfast or lunch out on the deck or relaxing with a good book. My neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Even on a crowded weekend you can be away from it all.

I am a retired school teacher, and I have lived in Tahoe for 35 years. I taught school and raised my family here. I have 2 Golden Retrievers and love to hike, bike and cross country ski. This is my permanent residence, so when I rent the house I travel, go camping in my motor home or spend time with family or friends.

The pictures on the this site do not do this home justice. The livingroom has huge vaulted beamed ceiling with spectacular lake view. My family fell in love with this home. It is beautifully furnished but not stuffy, we felt very comfortable and welcomed here. The view of Lake Tahoe is breathtaking, very calm and serene setting. We will definately be back and look forward to a longer stay. Mary Lynn is a gracious host and I thank her for opening her lovely home to my family.

My extended family stayed at this beautiful Dollar Point home over the New Year holiday and could not have been more impressed with the property and location. The house had a panoramic view of Lake Tahoe that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated, and more than enough room for everyone in our group to stretch out and relax. Living rooms on both the main and lower floors were nicely furnished and equipped with large HD TVs and fireplaces, and the bedrooms were more than accomodating for 3 couples and two small children. For parents with small children, this house is extremely kid friendly and has pack n' plays, high chairs, stair gates, etc. available for use at no additional cost. We were also very impressed with the hospitality provided by the owner. After a severe winter storm caused blackouts in the area, the owner came by to check on us and direct us to the flashlights and other survival gear they had located throughout the house. As luck would have it, the power never went off, but it was very reassuring to know that the owner was there to help in the event it did. Whether you are a ski enthusiast looking for a place to crash after a day on the slopes, or a homebody in need of a vacation with a view, this Dollar Point home provides exceptional value at an exceptional price.

This home is the best I have rented anywhere. The owner is more than accomodating, and the house is well kept and comfortably furnished. The location is almost beyond description. You have to see it to understand. The view from the deck, and pretty much anywhere in the house is panoramic, unobstructed and unbelievably beautiful. Two of our family took a driving tour of the area and could not wait to get back to the deck chairs to relax and absorb the breathtaking scenery. We stayed with a family of 8 and all (including kids) were more than comfortable. All activites are within close range and the pool and beach areas are among the best available. Parking is ample and the neighbors are quiet and friendly. Before renting this property I did an extensive search of over 100 homes in the area. Do not hesitate for a moment to rent this jewel of a home. There is none better in the price range in any area of Lake Tahoe.
