My daughters and I stayed for 3 weeks. The owner was very attentive and put extra effort into making our stay enjoyable (I was traveling w/an infant and a toddler). The home was clean which was most important to me having two small children constantly on the floor. The neighborhood was very safe and the neighbors were kind and generous letting my daughter use a swing set and basketball hoop. The beds were comfortable as well. I most enjoyed the fire pit which was stocked w/much wood. We were out and about a lot but did utilize the home at various times throughout the day. It had a cabin feel which was very comforting and relaxing. I would recommend this to various type groups and families who want a peaceful getaway with opportunity to do numerous outdoor activities in the immediate and surrounding region. Note: Some drawers and some cabinets could not be made child-safe due to the nature of the swing and the style of hardware. This was not an issue for us but I know some kids are more curious than others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Usually "cozy" means really small, but this was not case with this house! It was a nice size; Just wonderful to stretch out in and have separate bedrooms for us and the kids. The firepit and chairs outside looked fun to sit around there and make s'mores. However, we either had something planned each night, or it was raining, so we never actually did this. We also enjoyed the internet and having linens and towels included at the house. This is such a time and space saver when packing!! We would recommend this place to others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We travelled to Niagara Falls with our three small children (ages 7, 5, 3), and we could not have been happier with the cottage. The house is beautiful and newly renovated, very comfortable, and is in an idyllic, pretty setting by the park. Our children loved everything about the house - they played baseball on a nearby field, went for walks in the park, visited the harbor and carousel park a few miles away, ate food from the grill outside, and roasted marshmallows in the firepit. The wi-fi was an added bonus (we had no problem accessing the internet). Of course, there was Niagara Falls 25 minutes away - the Falls in the summer can be an overwhelming experience with small chidlren, but what we liked best was that we were able to come back to the cottage when we were done and truly relax in such a lovely house. And the owner is just wonderful. The house is the perfect place to stay in when visiting the Niagara region!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Stayed at this cottage while visiting Niagara Falls New York. Cottage was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice having the two kids in separate bedrooms for their own space. It was really convenient to have internet to connect with family back home. Cooking meals was a plus. The location was in a private setting with an IGA grocery store just a few minutes away. Would stay here again if in the area.If I had a question, the owner Joe would be very prompt in answering and was very helpful.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I drove from Connecticut and picked up 2 sisters and their daughters at Buffalo Airport. This place was very convenient and had all that we were looking for. We did a lot for the time we were there and enjoyed the solitude and beauty of this cottage. The neighborhood was nice and we found wineries, the Lockport locks, the Falls, the town of Wilson, the nearby state park, ice cream stand and lots more during the 5 nights we were there. We had fun and the experience was memorable! We even went to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo for Buffalo wings. For the all girl brigade, we made fires each evening, planned our meals and enjoyed our sisterhood. The cottage was adequately furnished and had basic supplies for our stay. The freezer did not keep our ice cream frozen but the ice maker worked. The tv remote needed new batteries and stopped working and we kept forgetting to get AAA batteries. Great property and an experience we will never forget. We would come here again! Thanks so much!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My family stayed at this cottage for a winter vacation. We enjoyed the fireplace and comfortable surroundings. There was ample space for the 4 of us plus our 2 corgis. We enjoyed being walking distance to the state park. Only disappointment was no internet service. It was listed as an ammenity and was part of our selection criteria. Our kids had some homework assignments to do over break that required internet research. We bounced to a few restaurants with wi-fi. We would stay at the cottage again if we have travels in the Niagara area. Nice place to relax and enjoy nature.Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The location of this cottage was very convenient, but by no means a water view. It's an easy drive to Niagara Falls, less than 30 minutes. There is a state park within walking distance of the cottage , and beautiful views of the Lake from there. The Niagara wine trail was fun with one stand out winery called" Freedom Run." We stayed for 8 nights and missed not having a closet, however, there were 2 wire hangers available as well as some hooks. The kitchen was well equipped, but there was not a knife sharp enough to cut through a tomato! The cottage was clean, with the exception of the throw rugs, which were in need of replacing, or at a minimum a washing. I personally have a problem with stepping on an unclean rug after getting out of the shower. Hand soap provided but no shampoo, or body soap for the shower. Basically, keep in mind that this is a cottage at a reasonable rate, with a good location, but few amenities! The owner was helpful with restaurant recomendations, and also pleasant. We had a fun time exploring the beautiful country side, Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed the quiet solitude of your cottage. The location, so close to Lake Ontario (within walking distance), was a pleasant surprise. We spent a day traveling to Hamilton, Ontario, through some of the vineyards, and seeing the waterfalls there. Yes, they have waterfalls! Even the customs person didn't know about them, over 125 of them! You need to check out the Devils Punchbowl. You can find the info on Hamilton's website. We then took in sites of Niagara from the Canadian side. The next day we spent on the American side at the Niagara State Park which is awesome! Less commercialized than the Canadian side. It was worth the visit, and another item to check off the bucket list. Thanks Joe for everything!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Niagara Falls has been on our list of sights to see before we leave the Northeast (being a military family) and we were excited to find such a great house with great rates and allowing pets on top of it all. We had 5 people in our part, my husband & myself our 5 year old son & 3 year old daughter & my aunt who came along for the adventure. It was fantastic to be able to let the kids have their own room and the adults have their own rooms without spending a fortune. The house is less than 30 minutes to the Rainbow bridge crossing, and the drive is fast and easy on a great highway and then along the river. We were able to visit Toronto, Niagara on both sides of the border and Buffalo, NY. The house has everything you could need, we even baked a batch of cookies while we were there. The kids enjoyed the "bonk" beds and the tile floors were great for cleaning up. The area of Wilson is great too and there is a grocery store & many restaurants within 10 minutes of the house, as well as the Roosevelt Beach and the lake area. Definitely will recommend to anyone looking to visit the area. Hopefully we'll be able to come back again before we move again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Sarah and Andrew. We are glad that you were able to see what the Niagara region of Western New York and Southern Ontario has to offer. Niagara Falls is such an amazing sight any time of the year, and as the seasons change, it puts a whole different perspective on such an awesome sight. There's certainly much more to see and do besides visiting this great natural wonder of the world. Come visit us anytime and explore our region.

Our family very much enjoyed our recent stay. The home was totally suitable for our family of 6. Having a sink in the master bedroom was very nice...along with the new queen mattress...very comfortable!! The ceiling fans were a nice touch along with the wood stove...sometimes those little things mean a lot!! We were very comfortable and very much appreciated having a warm and inviting place to stay. We saw all the sights to see during this off-season which meant very little crowds, which was mighty fine for us. We liked the privacy and affordability of a rental home versus staying downtown at a pricey hotel. The home had everything that we needed for a wonderful vacation. Thanks Joe!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

About the owner: I enjoy getting involved in special projects, love putting my signature accents and artistry on my remodeling . Love art ,music and culture and the serenity of a cottage getaway. Like traveling and finding similar hideaways to spend quality time at. I have tried to turn every room into a special place, and I am continuing to add all the needs to make this a very memorable vacation getaway, that you just may want to return to.
Why the Owner Chose Niagara Falls:
Enjoy the quiet and comfortable atmosphere and different 'to dos' of the area. We are close to everything, but has the feel of a remote country setting. Hop in the car and take a scenic drive along Lake Ontario or the Niagara River,or to some of the unique towns and villages that have wineries, shopping, antiquing, along with some very interesting history that surrounds this whole area.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Getting away from the hustle and bustle of the real world and sitting around the fire place or campfire with family and friends. Take an early morning walk to the state park and hike one of the great trails or head down to the beach and skip a few stones. Bring your boat and launch it from one of the two ramps that are close by. World Class salmon, trout, and large mouth bass fishing is all around us. On your way to Niagara Falls don't miss making a stop in Historic Lewiston, and check out the shopping, their many fine restaurants and their free concerts all summer long. Also, don't forget about the Factory Outlet mall that's located in Niagara Falls where you will find super deals and close-outs on designer labels and products.
