Apple Hill Farm was built in 1890 by the Plott family, one of the original settlers of the Waynesville area. The Plott family members were from Germany and known for raising the best bear hunting dogs called the Plott Hound. The Plott Hound is the North Carolina State dog and was originally raised on our property.
Apple Hill Farm sits on 5 lush acres and is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Great Smoky Mountains with majestic views of Plott Valley and Waynesville Mountain. It is 7 minutes to downtown Waynesville and 30 minutes to Asheville. An entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway is just a few minutes away. Ski at Cataloochee Ski Resort. Please feel free to call me and I will provide additional information about area activities!! Waynesville is filled with quaint shops, restaurants, a local theater, and more. Many artist reside in the Waynesville area!
The farm has several outbuildings that can be utilized for weddings, family reunions, corporate entertaining, etc... The farmhouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, a full kitchen, dining room, 2 family rooms, additional parlor with pull out sofa, laundry, front porch complete with rocking chairs, 2 brick outdoor patios, 3 fireplaces, wood stove, original hardwood floors throughout, extensive landscaping, fully fenced yard for your children/dogs to romp and play and much much more!! We have decorated the farm with period American Primitive furnishings and "Crate and Barrel" style sofas and chairs. It is very comfortable so put your feet up and relax!
The kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen appliances and comforts of your own home. We will also stock the refrigerator, bar and pantry prior to your stay with an additional concierge fee plus the cost of the supplies. Just let us know what we can do to make your stay an exceptional experience!
The Summer House located next to our fresh mountain stream has plenty of area for outdoor entertaining, complete with fire pit for cookouts! Bring your hot dogs and s'more fixins'! It's the perfect spot for telling tall tales and sharing time with your family around the campfire! We will provide plenty of wood for those long campfires!
The original Spring House still remains on the property. Grab a gallon jug and drink fresh mountain spring water! There is a sculptor's table available in the Spring House should your creative juices start flowing! Make yourself at home!

Welcome to Apple Hill Farm! Recently, I fulfilled one of my dreams! My sister and I purchased the majestic Apple Hill Farm! One of the most beautiful pieces of property in Haywood County, of the Great Smoky Mountains. I am originally from North Carolina and am now fortunate enough, to own land in "God's Country". I currently live in Atlanta which is a short 3 hour drive to The Farm. I love to watch my 9 year old son climb the 100 year old apple trees, run in the fields and play in the cold mountain stream that rambles through the property. A step back to gentler times! I hope you will allow me to share my piece of heaven with you!
