Enjoy your morning coffee while relaxing in an Adirondack chair on your porch overlooking the lake. When you are finished with breakfast, walk the roughly 50 feet to the water where children are seen splashing around the colony's private beach. If swimming isn't on the day's agenda, kick back with a friendly game of shuffleboard or ping pong in the property's 1950's restored boat house. Spend nights making s'mores with fellow renters around the campfire next to the lake.
If a day trip is what you are looking for, head east for the 10-15 minute ride back to Main Street to tour the National Baseball Hall of Fame or find the perfect baseball themed gift in one of the local shops. If biking or walking trails suit your fancy head west 5 minutes to Glimmerglass State Park, also home to the historic landmark, Hyde Hall. Get your culture fill at the famous Glimmerglass Opera, Fenimore Art Museum, or Farmers Museum, all just a short drive away.
