Like to play golf? There are many award winning courses in the area. Just minutes from Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach is a family oriented vacation destination.
Our condo is located in the Sea Shadow building which is located on Ocean Blvd. and includes an ELEVATOR, large in-ground pool and large picnic area with barbeque pit and two big picnic tables.
New ceramic tile flooring takes you from the front door to the the fully equipped kitchen that contains all that you will need for cooking and entertaining. The kitchen has a large serving counter with three stools.
The kitchen area opens into the dining area with a large wicker glass-topped dining table that seats six.
The dining area opens into the living area which contains a comfortable recliner, sofa, and wicker rocker. There is a large ceiling fan and TV w/cable. From this room you will enjoy watching the waves and the dolphins through a large 8 foot sliding glass door that leads directly to your balcony.
Your Private Balcony is accessible from both the living room and master bedroom via sliding glass doors with screens. The balcony is very large/deep and overlooks the ocean. The balcony contains a glass-topped table and four comfortable chairs.
The Master Bedroom has a full sized private bath. From the master bedroom you will enjoy stunning oceanfront views directly to the beach. The master has a new queen-sized bed. The room has a new dresser and new night stands with reading lamps. A ceiling fan and TV w/cable are provided in the master.
The 2nd bedroom has two twin-size beds and includes a ceiling fan and TV w/cable. There is a full bathroom adjacent to the 2nd bedroom.
This condo contains a FULL SIZED washer and dryer within the unit in a large utility room adjacent to the kitchen .
The Sea Shadow is only a few steps from the beach via a PRIVATE walkway over the grassy dunes. The beach along the Sea Shadow is one of the widest beaches on the Grand Strand and does not wash out like it does along many other of the beach complexes.
Surfside Beach has wonderful golf courses, restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The Sea Shadow building was built in 1991 and has recently been upgraded with a new elevator, new balconies, and walkways that meet all current fire and safety standards. There are only 24 privately owned units in the Sea Shadow. The complex contains one of the largest pools in the area as well as a large barbeque picnic area. It is beautifully landscaped with large palm trees and flowering vegetation. There is parking underneath the complex and outside the complex, including a unique large overflow parking area just for owners and quests.
Contract signing will be handled by e-mail Word attachment and electronic signature or by regular mail if time allows, at your option.
Invoicing and payment via credit card or bank account will be handled through PayPal or by personal check, money order, or cashier's check if time allows check clearance.

Why the Owner Chose Sea Shadow
We chose to buy a vacation rental in this location because of the many services, attractions, shopping, and eating establishments available within minutes of our condo. We also enjoy the mild climate in this part of the country and love being on the beach where we can walk, swim, fish, and just laze in the sand.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We enjoy convenient shopping, transportation, and oceanfront living at our property. We also enjoy off-shore and inshore fishing. The food in the Grand Strand area is very diverse and some of the best food in the country at VERY reasonable prices. You will especially want to try the many sea food restaurants located in the Murrells Inlet area which is only 20 minutes from our condo. Of course, the Grand Strand area is recognized for its many challenging golf courses --- it is truly a golfer's paradise.

My wife and I purchased our oceanfront condo as a second home away from home. We love the beach ... sunbathing, swimming, fishing, dolphin watching, or just sitting on our oceanfront balcony watching the ocean. Our primary residence is also on the water in the Missouri Ozarks. So, I guess you could say we love any kind of beach. We have been married almost 43 years and have four grown boys. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and car collecting while my wife enjoys cooking, reading, movie going, and shopping.

We loved this place. Great view onto the beach from a nice, large balcony. Right smack on a beautiful beach (we watched tons of dolphins go by one day). The place was impeccably clean and contained everything you could possibly need in the kitchen (even a spice rack). The owner was great - nice and very accessible. We mainly golfed, so we didn't see a lot of the available attractions, but we were close to everything. Definitely go to Murrell's Inlet for all the restaurants on the boardwalk. Lots of outdoor dining there. Brookgreen Gardens is FABULOUS. You pay $24 for a week pass, so you can come and go whenever you want. Check out all the local restaurants and pubs for quiz nights. There's one every night and location changes each night. Also, dine at Charleston Cafe, which is locally owned, for a great meal. Go to Dagwoods for casual, sports watching dining (huge sandwiches). Both of these restaurants are within 5 minutes of the condo. We would recommend this condo to anyone - families, couples, seniors (it has one of the few elevators among the condos in this area . We estimated we gained at least five hours extra free time by not having to drag luggage and groceries up and down stairs!). We loved it and it was a great bargain!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

Excellent area. Wonderful views. Comfortable and homey. Perfect for families, getaways and just plain relaxing. The balcony is great for ocean watching. Walk to several nice restaurants. We felt very safe in the building. Like not Having to carry a key. The only thing I would change is if They let me bring my tiny dog :) Thanks Staugaard family for a wonderful vacation

Andy, Thanks for opening up your condo for rental. We had a great time & enjoyed the area. As you know, this is the first time we've stayed in Surfside for vacation & we loved the peace & quiet. After last year's stay in Myrtle Beach during Labor Day week, we pretty much decided we are done with hotels. It's too crowded, aggravating & defeats the whole purpose of having a relaxing vacation! This experience was far better & felt like an actual vacation as opposed to a "visit". We forgot to leave a note in the guest book but I will leave some feedback on our visit on the vrbo page listing. Thanks again & take care.

Had a wonderful week. The location was perfect. Parking was easy. Surfside Beach is a great area if you want a laid back week. Having a grandson with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, staying at a unit on the beach was a plus. He could come over and use the pool. We would carry him over the walkway to the beach which wasn't a problem. The biggest problem for those of us from MD is the trip around the DC/Northern VA area. If you get past there by 6AM, the rest of the drive is good. I would recommend the unit as a nice place to stay.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+.

Thanks so much for the use of your unit in Surfside Beach. It worked out perfectly for our family, especially for our 6 year old grandson who has muscular dystrophy. He could come to our place, use the pool and it was easy for us to carry him to the beach. The rest of my family stayed at my daughter-in-law's parents' house in Glenmere of Rt 544. It was nice for them to be able to come to the beach without having to worry about where to park, where to take the children if they were hungry or needed the use of a bathroom. The weather was nice, only rained 2 days. Surfside is a very laid back area compared to Myrtle Beach which gave my wife and me a nice week to relax. Thanks again.

Three ladies from Columbia/Lexington, South Carolina. We had a wonderful and relaxing week at the beach. When is the last time you stayed at a condo that had a FULLY equipped kitchen? This one is! We brought in seafood several times and prepare our own. Also, when is the last time you stayed at a property with COMFORTABLE furniture. This one has a recliner....I claimed this as mine for the week. The mattresses were comfortable as well. I would recommend this rental.
