Las Palmas has its own organic farm and horse stables, which enables its guests to enjoy great organic food and horseback riding. Palm trees and exotic plants surround the 25-meter natural thermal swimming pool. Dozens of species of wild birds take refuge in this oasis overlooking the verdant Laja River valley. After a hike, swim, or horseback ride, you can refresh yourself with an organic fruit drink or your favorite cocktail under the elegant thatched roof palapa by the pool. During “la Hora Feliz” (happy hour) you can savor the beautiful sunsets over the cliffs of the Rio Laja.
Healthy food, horses, bicycles, endless trails and year-round perfect weather make Las Palmas a wonderful vacation spot for the health and environmentally-minded traveler. Next door to Las Palmas you can visit the finest folk art museum and gallery in Mexico, Galeria Atotonilco. A short walk will bring you to the picturesque village of Atotonilco with its world renowned colonial church “El Santuario.” San Miguel de Allende, one of the most popular tourist spots in Mexico, is only a ten-minute drive away by car, bus or taxi.
Las Palmas can accommodate up to 14 people, and we can provide a daily gourmet organic breakfast upon request at a very reasonable price. We can provide transport to and from the Leon/Guanajuato International airport for $25 (USD)/person or the Mexico City airport for $100 (USD)/person.
