The Chalet is our largest suite with private entry and private balcony with BBQ and bistro table, king size bed with additional queen size sofa bed with an extra thick mattress for comfort, AC, large flat screen HD TV with Blueray DVD player, WI-FI, cozy glider/rocking chair, private bath, full kitchenette with microwave, gas stove, full size double sink, fridge and is fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, toaster, 12 cup coffee maker, Starbucks coffee, and continental breakfast served in your suite. Partial river view, Sleeps up to 4 adults over 16 yrs. old. (must be accompanied by an adult)
We are just one mile from town. Walk or bike or there is a shuttle service called Leavenworth Shuttle that takes you to town and when you want to return, just give them a call. They will pick you up wherever you are in town.
Four seasons of fun with summer time river rafting, golfing within four blocks, hiking and back packing, horseback riding, walking to the charming Bavarian village of Leavenworth and checking out the shops, relaxing with a book by river, or rock climbing just down the road, or go swimming in the pool in town. Winter sports of downhill skiing only 25 min. drive at Stevens Pass, cross country skiing only 1 mile away, inner tubing with rope tow at Ski Hill 5 minutes away, sleigh rides and snowshoeing close by.
Leavenworth was voted The #1 Christmas Town USA for the amazing Lighting Festival on the 1st 3 weekends of December every year. Other festivals during the year include Oktoberfest, Salmonfest, Autumn Leaf Festival, Icefest, and many others. Please check the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce website for all the events.

Why the Owner Chose Leavenworth
There are so many diverse recreational activities right in our "back yard". Winter sports include; cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snow boarding, tubing, snow shoeing, sleigh rides and snow mobiling. Summer, spring and fall sports and fun include; rafting or tubing the Wenatchee River, rock climbing right down Icicle Road from us, golfing, horseback riding, swimming, backpacking, hiking, biking and fishing.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet
We are within walking distance to downtown Leavenworth and all the festivals, shops, restaurants and activities. Also, we are one block to golfing and 1 mile to cross country skiing and horseback riding. Our guest suites are spacious and comfortable.
Owner's Map of Leavenworth
We have lived in the Pacific Northwest our whole life, with Ted being raised in Seattle and Sandy being raised in the Lynnwood area. We started coming to Leavenworth when we first met 28 years ago and loved the area. We have always been drawn to the sunshine and diversity of activities. So, we purchased our property on the river and decided to build a B and B. We love sharing the beauty of this area with all of our guests and look forward to your arrival!

We married on June 19th, 1971. October 1971 to May 1972, we lived on Stevens Pass. Our address was Leavenworth, WA. It was a grueling time. Here we are 40 years later, still married, exiting a very grueling time, but re-visiting one of the most beautiful areas on earth. Haus Hanika is a wonderful creation and Sandy & Ted are beyond wonderful people & hosts; down to earth, creative, spiritual, loving people....No better place to spend our 40th Anniversary.
