We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you. We are both recently retired and will look forward to staying here again. Every time we come to Leavenworth, we discover something new. Such a beautiful place. Love it!

We married on June 19th, 1971. October 1971 to May 1972, we lived on Stevens Pass. Our address was Leavenworth, WA. It was a grueling time. Here we are 40 years later, still married, exiting a very grueling time, but re-visiting one of the most beautiful areas on earth. Haus Hanika is a wonderful creation and Sandy & Ted are beyond wonderful people & hosts; down to earth, creative, spiritual, loving people....No better place to spend our 40th Anniversary.

A wonderful spot to relax and enjoy vacation after many stressful months. Ted and Sandy made us feel right at home the minute we walked through the door. Haus Hanika is wonderful and we will be coming back here again.

As we drove into the town of Leavenworth and began to take in Belgium environment it's well known for, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our vacation rental was themed accordingly. We were greeted by both Mr. and Mrs. Hanika who were more than friendly and accommodating by offering to take our bags to our room as we were checked in. The immediate impression of this lovely abode was one of comfort and relaxation. We could hear the river roaring in the background and the furnishings were new and at the same time homelike. We had the private suite to ourselves separate from the main house and found a delightful surprise of fresh orange juice and milk in our refrigerator along with a platter of fresh fruit (bananas & apple) and fresh jumbo blueberry and Chocolate chip muffins. Our cabinets were filled with silverware plates and pot & pans; we wished we were there longer. To top it all off they had Starbucks coffee! What a surprise! They also included a selection of cereals to choose from already in our room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable including a king size bed, a pull out sofa, dining table & chairs, and a huge HD TV. The room was decorated with a cabin like theme but not so much to make it feel too rustic. Outside of our room there was a small deck with table & chairs perfect for card playing and a BBQ for our use. We had a partial view of the river and a full view if we walked a few paces around the main house. There is a nice grassy area that overlooks the river and gets the perfect amount of sun. We were so pleased with our accommodations and our gracious hosts that this will definitely be a regular travel spot for us in the years to come!
