Lake Gaston is the perfect location for your get away. It is a man made lake located in Northern NC and southern VA., with 350 miles of shoreline with the main lake being 35 miles long.
Our home is situated in the Northeast quadrant, located in a quiet cove. 3 bedrooms on the main floor, the master with a king bed and master bath, The second bedroom has a queen, the third has bunk beds, with single up, and full down. Please provide your own linens and towels. A second bathroom located upstairs. Our family room, with gas log fire place, full amenity kitchen with eating area for 12 looks out on the lake. Downstairs, we have another sitting area, gas log fireplace, bedroom with king bed, 5th bedroom has 2 single beds. (Sheets and towels not provided)

Enjoy a drink while sitting on the wicker swing in our screened porch, looking at our beautiful landscaped yard, while listening the the gentle lap of waves and the the trickle of our waterfall pond. There is an abundance of birds singing above in the canopy of trees, providing shade on those hot sultry summer days. Outside dining, free of insects, for 6 - 8, ceiling fans provide a gentle cooling breeze. Relax on the 3 person swing on our finished covered patio below, great for naps, reading, or just watching the boats go by.. Our landscaped yard, with waterfall ponds, and a gentle grade to the lake. hammock provided, plenty of grassed area for children to run and play.
Fire pit for roasting marshmellows and telling ghost stories. Wood Provided. Our dock contains a jet ski lift, with room to tie your boat, our boat lift is not available.
A neighborhood launch is just down the road.
Steps to the lake with approx. 1 ft of water for small children to play, or ladder off the dock to approx. 6 ft of water for swimming, or floating. Small table with seating for 6, umbrella. It is a short distance to the main lake
We offer a 4 person paddle boat, outdoor games and floats to ensure that you make the most of your vacation.

Why the Owner Chose Henrico
We chose a home on Lake Gaston for the proximity to Raleigh, NC. Driving 1.5 hrs vs. driving 3 hrs to the beach made the difference for us. There is no comparison in traffic. Heading to the beach is bumper to bumper, we seldom see 5 cars at any given time.
Convenient to Food Lion, Drug Store, Ace Hardware, Liquor Store, ATM, Gas Station with Wi-Fi, Pizza, Andy's, Morningstar Marina and restaurants. Our favorite dining spot is 'The Watersview Restaurant'.
Adam Field's Wakeboarding School is also located in Lizard Creek

This was a nice lake house in a quiet setting. The past few years my family has rented a house on the outer banks but this year we were looking for something different. This lake house worked out very well for the ll of us (6 adults, 5 kids). Pros: Quiet subdivision, great sunset views over the lake, great screened in porch (we have perfect weather for it despite being late December), The kids enjoyed having their own living room and fishing off the pier. We also enjoyed the horseshoe pit and playing ladder ball. The kids also enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the file. Cons: If you are very allergic to animals (as I am) you may notice that a pet has been inside at some point. I noticed it as soon as I walked downstairs and I had to wash some of the couch pillows as they had white pet hair on them. The dining room table only fits 7-8 adults so if you have more than 8 people you will not be able to eat together. This would only be an issue in the colder months as the screened in porch is right off the dining room and fits another 5-6 adults. The lightning in the house is beyond comprehension. It took me all week to figure out what switch controls what light (hint: the light switch at the end of the hallway by the bedrooms controls the living room at the other end of the house). This has been mentioned before and it sounds like it is being addressed but there really needs to be another bathroom downstairs. There is currently 1 bathroom in the master and the other 4 bedrooms all share a bathroom. Overall the house worked out very well. This house would be great for a larger family wanting to be close to the water but not right in the middle of all the action. I would not have a problem renting the house again.

Deborah and Bill I(we) want to thank you very much for letting us share your beautiful home for our stay. Everything was nice and well maintained for the usage. The time there was very relaxing and quiet the main thing we enjoyed it very much. We are still talking of the good time we had spending time together bonding with family members. One night we spent time out by the lake sitting around the fire pit that was aresome. We do plan on coming back again when the weather break so we can enjoy the lake more. One thing was missed having a bathroom down stairs. Over all we ENJOYED!

My wife and I, along with our four kids under the age of 7 years old, spent a wonderful week at the house at Lake Gaston. The house was clean and set up well for a relaxing vacation. We fished off the boat dock, swam in the kid-friendly shallow water, and went out in their paddle boat. Smores by the firepit. Ping pong table. What else could we ask for! Deborah is very responsive. And the Food Lion and ACE Hardware are close by. The only thing to note is that at the time, they were still working on renovating the basement bathroom and bedroom area. We didn't stay in the basement bedrooms, and I'm sure they would have been fine to stay in. Would highly recommend, especially for families!

We recently had a great time at this lake house with our family of 10. The open floor plan of sitting rooms, dining room and screened in porch provided plenty of room for the whole family. The bedroom with 2 twin beds is still under construction, and not safe for young children with an exposed fuse panel, but the other bedrooms were very nice. We caught lots of catfish from the dock. The kids swam there - shallow enough for our toddlers - as well as at the public beach by the dam. And we enjoyed being serenaded by a frog in the amazing garden fountain most evenings. Would definitely rent again!

Bill and deborah, We want you to know what a great place you have. Our whole family enjoyed their stay there. The pond with the fountain and the little waterfall was so beautiful. We loved the location, because you are close to the grocery, drug, and hardware stores. Your recommendation for the Waterview restaurant was a excellent choice. The food was very very good. We used the pier everyday and I have to admit, this was one of our most relaxed vacations ever. Your home is most inviting and the covered porch with the swing was my favorite. We will definitly recommend your home. Thank you
