We (two couples, late seventies) stayed in this apartment for two weeks and found it quite acceptable. One bedroom is very spacious, the other a little crowded. The bathroom is small with only a shower, no tub, but it is adequate. The kitchen has room for only one worker at a time and lacks an oven but is otherwise fully equipped including dishwasher. The day room is also a little cramped but the four of us did quite well. The apartment is an easy walk from the Viale Trastevere with its buses and trams, from the very convenient San Cosimato market, from Sta Maria in Trastevere and a number of quite good restaurants and the marvelous Fatamorgana gelateria. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this apartment again.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for your review. I hope to see you again in our property. I just want to clarify that in the kitchen there is an oven (underneath the hob) and a microwave oven too. Thank you.

This apartment was a wonderful home base for our stay in Rome. Angela and her daughter Elisa were extremely welcoming and helpful --- even leaving us a bottle of nice wine and arranging transportation to the airport. The apartment is on a quiet street very close to charming shops, restaurants and bars. We were able to walk to the Colosseum and the Vatican and were so glad to come back to this peaceful retreat every night. Thanks Angela and Elisa!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My family of four stayed in Angela's apartment for four nights. Elisa (daughter) greeted us there and showed us the apartment and all its amenities. A bottle of red wine was also waiting for us (an added bonus). Both Angela and Elisa are very friendly and a pleasure to work with. We wanted to experience Roman lifestyle and that's the reason for choosing Trastevere. We're so lucky to this apartment - a perfect home base for sightseeing, and plenty of authentic local restaurants. Rome is hot in August, so it feels good to relax and cool off in the apartment at end of day. We also enjoyed very much the nightlife in Piazza S.M. and river bank. I would definitely stay there if I visit Rome again, and highly recommend to other travellers as well.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We just stayed in this lovely apartment for 10 days. The unit is large, with two nice sized bedrooms. The beds are comfortable, lots of towels and linens were provided. The kitchen is very well stocked and has a full-sized refrigerator. We were there in August and it was very hot - coming back to this cool apartment was terrific. The neighborhood is very quite – the apartment is set back from the street. Within 3 blocks there are restaurants and good access to public transportation. All in all this apartment is a terrific location and a nice sized unit. We would stay here again!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We loved the apartment and its location and would definitely come back and stay again. Fully equipped, handy to supermarket and fresh food market. We walked to many of the major tourist destinations easily. Trastevere, in our opinion, is the only place in Rome to stay and we can highly recommend Casa Glorioso. Trastevere, the most interesting and best area in Rome is safe and very quiet. Restaurants, shops, transportation, the Tiber and many interesting sites are within walking distance. The dishwaher, clothes washer and all other appliances worked perfectly. The place was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. Upon arrival, Elisa welcomed us with a bottle of red wine and bottled water. In the kitchen there were coffee makers (american and espresso) with coffee provided, good olive oil waiting for us. The location could not have been better and the owners so lovely and helpful. A final thank you to Elisa and Angela.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our family of four spent four nights in Casaglorioso a few weeks ago. We were very impressed with all aspects. Elisa welcomed us with a bottle of wine and helpful information. The apartment was very spacious, tastefully decorated, and the air conditioning was a bonus. The setting was very handy and we walked almost everywhere. We would highly recommend Casaglorioso and would definitely stay there again if we make it back to Rome.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Glorioso. We loved the location, a lovely residential area in Trastevere. The apartment itself was larger than the photos depicted and had all the amenities necessary for a wonderful vacation in Rome. The owners, Angela and Elisa, were fantastic hosts, welcoming us with a bottle of wine and providing us with advice about transportation, restaurants etc. The apartment is a short walk to transporation for all over Rome. The apartment suited our needs well. It was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living/dining room area were adequate. Wireless internet worked well. We were pleased with the location of the apartment, and Trastevere became our favorite neighborhood in Rome. We would recommend the apartment to friends and relatives and we would be happy to return to Rome and enjoy Casa Glorioso in the future.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We are a family of 5. We heard about this place through some friends who'd stayed there (also a family of 5 with 3 boys), and we reserved early. Angela made everything simple and fun. The sub-ground-floor entry has 3 steps down. Wheelchair tipped-back can navigate with help on the handles. The interior is clean and beautiful with comfy beds enough for 5 even without the fold-out sofa, 6 with the sofa. The kitchen is fully primed with all you'll need to cook great meals of your own. The rate is better-than-reasonable given the quality of the apartment and access to supplies, transport, restaurants, etc. Air-con was a must in July and it worked very nicely. All claims on the site are accurate; and as we reported, the hosts are very, very cool. We loved it and would stay there again in a minute. The Travastere is sort of "Haight-like" for you San Franciscans. Better food, though! Angela and family, we thank you and hope to see you again! We were immediately disappointed by this area of Rome. There was a ton of garbage on the street near the entrance of the flat. The beds were hard and the pillows thin. It is the bottom floor and could hear noises of people walking around above. The flat was clean, the air-conditioning worked well and the owners were businesslike.Owner response: We are sorry you have been disappointed by this area. We have been surprised because it is the first time we receive a critical review. You are right about the garbage, because the truck that collects garbage had a problem for a couple of days. Generally there is no problem about that. Trastevere is a lively neiborhood, our apartment is in a private street without traffic of cars and very quiet. Anyway we will consider your review and we will try to improve our services. Best regards. Angela

We (two adults and two teens) stayed for 4 nights in this apartment, and found it to be very comfortable and well set-up, including posters on the walls. We greatly appreciated having a washing machine, and found that the clothes dried very quickly on the rack in the sun. Kitchen was well equipped and the air conditioners in each bedroom worked great and cooled off the whole apartment. Location was good, in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, and convenient to the #8 tram. We walked everywhere. Elissa met us exactly when she'd promised to, and explained how everything worked. There's a good collection of guidebooks and maps in the apartment. We would highly recommend staying here!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you very much. I'm happy you liked my apartment, and I hope to see you again in the future. Angela
