Come stay at what will become your "second home" by the sea. This beautiful three-story beach home with guesthouse situated in the exclusive community of Crystal Shores in Destin, just steps away from the one of Destin's best beaches. A perfect escape for you and your family, the property, including the guesthouse, accommodates 16 visitors.
Upon entering the Main House you will instantly relax as you take in the great room with a 20 ft high ceiling and oversized ceiling fans. The rental is spacious and very open with great detail to the interior architecture. Light pours in from the windows and French doors that lead from the front porch through the Den to the large back deck, private pool, back yard and outdoor shower. The Den features an extremely comfortable sleeper sofa, TV, DVD player, and VCR. The large built in media cabinet also offers games, books and videos for family enjoyment.
One wing off of the Den features the fully stocked kitchen and dining area with seating for 10. There is also an area to set up your computer and get online... French doors complete access to the deck; with outdoor dining tables and chairs, backyard and pool. The other wing off the Den leads to the first floor bedroom with Queen bedding and separate private entrance to the rental. There is also a full bathroom. For convenience, this bathroom connects directly to the outside shower.
The Second Level features two master bedroom suites; one for children offering a set of bunk beds, a full sized futon and private bath, and the other suite for adults offering King bedding, dressing area and private bath with Jacuzzi tub. Both suites include TVs, DVD players and, for the kids, a VCR as well. From the Second floor hallway through a set of French doors you can access the large balcony that has seating, outdoor ceiling fans and views of the gardens in the front of the home. This is the best place to sit and take in the sunset. The third floor is a private play area/ sleeping loft with full views of the Gulf of Mexico. The sleep loft also features a TV, VCR and DVD player and is very popular with the younger crowd.
The backyard offers a grill for your cooking pleasure, and furniture to lounge on. There are large mature palm trees and oleander around the house so if you want to find a spot in the shade to relax, that will not be a problem.
Behind the Main House and adjacent to the pool, the Guest House provides a balconied living area, full kitchen, as well as Queen bedding and full bath, in the balconied bedroom suite.
The property has ample onsite parking accommodating 6 vehicles. There is also a washer/dryer in the garage for beachwear and one inside the main home for everyday laundry. Inside the garage, you will also find beach towels, rafts and chairs for your use. Just please remember to leave them behind for the next guest!

Why the Owner Chose Crystal Shores
We have close friends in Destin and thoroughly enjoy the slower pace of life, the sugar white super clean beaches and the fantastic Gulf Coast cuisine. It is the perfect family vacation spot for someone looking for unspoiled and uncrowded but convenient and welcoming. Okaloosa Island is still a connecting flight away from most major northern and western cities which keeps this area relatively uncrowded even during the busy summer vacation season.
The Unique Benefits at this
Our place is 1/2 block or a 3 minute walk from the Gulf of Mexico in a semi gated community of homes. From our sleeping loft we have a view of the Gulf. The house faces directly south, so the porches on the first and second floor allow you to enjoy sunrise (on your left in the morning), and sunset (on your right in the evening). There is a local coffee shop across the street that is dog friendly with fantastic baked goods in the morning. We can walk to Destin Commons, the fantastic outdoor mail, with the movie theatre. And we can walk to half a dozen restaurants. The location is beyond ideal. It is right there at the beach, has it's own pool, and feels like a little town.... but either walk or drive 5 minutes the other direction and you are in the middle of everything. and the outlet malls!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!

Laura and Bryan Simms, parents of two wonderful children, Marlo and Ronin. We bought the house because we loved the feel and thought it was so different then any other property down there. It made us feel like we were truly on vacation, with the openness and fun layout. We live in NYC but get down there as often as we can!
