This place was perfect for our family of three - toddler is 2 years old. The condo has great views even if it is not ocean view. The patio is really nice to spend early mornings and evenings. The place is stocked! Lots of kitchen ware, beach toys, and other household items (swiffer, vacuum, etc.) The washer and dryer are literally down the hall. The place was very clean and the building itself was very quiet. Even though they are private residences, the place has the convenience of a hotel - front desk, concierge, mini mart, and coffee shop. The lobby has a beautiful koi pond as well. We didn't have time to utilize the 6th floor amenities, but we did stop by and it is really great! Tons of bbqs and a playground. The building is also a very short walk to the beach and the strip. Perfect distance to be away from the noise and hustle and bustle. Very safe area, too. Loved everything! Made our vacation very comfortable and worthwhile.

Wow!! Better than I expected!! What a great condo - close to everything, great size and best of all, it looks incredible! You can tell that they renovated recently, as it's stylish and CLEAN! Tiled floors throughout, update bathroom with spa like shower. Great appliances in the kitchen and 2 flat screen televisions! Lot of beach toys and chairs, lots of towels, and a washer and dryer to use. It was so nice to be able to have a fully functional kitchen to make breakfast every morning. Why would anyone ever want to rent a hotel when this is available for this price?! The 6th floor has bbq's available for 2$ per hour, tennis courts and pool/hottubs. We were 2 couples and it was nice to have the 2 door entries to the bathroom. More than enough room for 4 people. Thank you Debbie, you were great! I will be recommending this condo to friends and family!

We stayed at this lovely ocean-view condo for 8 nights in October. The entire experience, from booking through the return of our deposit was nothing less than top-notch. We loved the accomodations and saved ourselves some $$ by making use of the condo's kitchen, and the barbecues on the 6th floor recreation deck. The close proximity to Waikiki Beach and lots of restaurants was great, as was the view from the condo's 22nd floor lanai. The condo was everything we expected and more, and Debbie also provided great instructions and tips for us about the building and surrounding area. We would recommend this condo to anyone travelling to Honolulu. Excellent home away from home, and equally impressive service. Recommend "Cheeseburger in Paradise" and "Yogurtland" on nearby Kalakaua Ave (along Waikiki Beach) for good eats, and "The Stupid Factory" for fun shopping when you need a break from the sun :-) ABC stores are everywhere, and stock everything from food to souvenirs (alcohol too).

Absolutely Wonderful

My teenage and son and I stayed in Debbie's units for 8 nights (Ocean view 7 nights, Mountain View 1 night) and absolutely loved them both. Waking up to the view, the beautiful decor and such a clean unit was wonderful. Everything you need was supplied, so many comforts and extras to make a holiday even better. Dealing with Debbie from start to finish was such a pleasant and positive experience, she seems so genuinely concerned about making visitors have a great stay. There was a store and small restaurant downstairs, we were within walking distance of the beach and many stores and also on the bus route along Kuhio Street. We had an amazing vacation in Waikiki, not only because of the beautiful setting and climate, but because we had such a nice unit to relax in, have a cold drink, watch movies at night and sleep very comfortably. We parasailed, snorkeled, walked up the Diamond Head Trail, went to the zoo and the Dole Plantation (got lost in the maze!) Thank you so very much -- it was everything and more than what we expected.

Excellent Condo in Waikiki

We stayed in the mountain view unit for a week in July 2011. The unit has just undergone a full renovation. The unit has a full kitchen and all applicanes and amenities you could ask for. King bed is clean and comfortable. TV in the bedroom is a bonus. Parking is included which is awesome for Waikiki. Debbie is extremely fast to respond in booking and follow-up questions. Onsite manager for any immediate problems (of which we had none). I appreicated Debbie's follow-up e-mail 2 days after checkout to let me know she processed a refund for the security deposit. You always wonder if you will have to "track someone down". I also really appreciated her asking if there was anything that needed improving. It shows that they care about the satisfaction of the guests. Mahalo.

Home away from home

Overall, our stay in the Rigg's condo was a home away from home. My family and I enjoyed the space and amenities of the condo-very family friendly (as mentioned in the description-easy walk to Kapiolani Park, Waikiki Beach, and Waikiki), enough room for a family with children ages 7-12 years old (our kids enjoyed the room and of course the tv's and there was also DVD's for the children to watch and the POOL!!), the full size kitchen saved us a lot of money (we were able to buy food from local grocery stores and cook our food)! VERY comfortable unit, CLEAN, and there is a washer/dryer that you could use just a door down from the unit. In addition, Debbie's instructions for internet, parking pass, etc. was clear and helpful! Lastly, Waikiki Banyan community was welcoming and showed the aloha spirit! For those of you considering this unit/space, go for it! It is TRULY WORTH it. Mahalo nui loa, the Ohana from Seattle

This was our first real vacation with our 3yr old. The unit is very nicely/newly renovated. It has 2 nice tvs's the kitchen has everything that you would ever need. The bed is great to sleep on and the bathroom was spacious and clean. All the appliances are brand new along with the pots and pans. Everything is so clean. Such a convenient location. It took us less than a 5 minute walk to get to the famous Waikiki beach. The unit is equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, big beach mat, childrens toys ex beach shovels, rakes and a bucket. Underground parking was free for the stay also free long distance phone calls to home were a nice touch also free wifi for our laptop. Nice balcony to sit and eat breakfast on over looking a golf course/diamond head. A nice touch to the unit was having little travel cooler/ with ice packs so our drinks and childs milk would stay cold when we went out to explore the island. The best part was dealing with the owner Debbie. She responded back to any question in a very timely fashion and was pleasent to talk to. I will be staying in one of Debbie's units the next time i go to Hawaii and have told my friends about the unit aswell for their next trips.

This was our second trip to Oahu and my son, husband and I LOVED staying in Debbie's beautiful condo! Debbie was wonderful to book with and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. I'm a bit of a neat freak and this place was very clean and neat and the decor was really nice! The kitchen was well-stocked with lots of dishes, pots, pans etc. and there were lots of beach toys, beach chairs etc. available to use too. The condo is within close walking distance of lots of fun places to visit (Honolulu Zoo, the International Market and of course Waikiki Beach) and the view from the lanai is lovely especially at sunset! Thank you so much Debbie for sharing your fabulous condo with us!

My husband and I stayed in Debbie's beautiful condo for a month from September 27th to October 25th, 2010 and we can't say enough good things about it. Debbie was wonderful to book with, very helpful and concerned that everything be perfect for us. The condo was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The closeness to the beach and restaurants was an added bonus although the kitchen was so well equipped we did alot of our meals in. We would definitely stay here again. My husband says if I "gush" too much about it we won't be able to get it again as it will always be booked ! Thank-you Debbie for providing such excellent service and a fantastic holiday condo.

Yes, this place is every bit as nice as the pictures show! It is well equipped, and the views are great. There is so much to do within walking distance - shopping, Waikiki beach, and we even found a nice little Catholic church about a block away. The owner was very easy to work with, and very gracious. We were able to walk in and make ourselves right at home!

My family just came back from a wonderful stay at this condo. It had everything I expected and more! The FULLY supplied kitchen was awesome! It was perfect for four adults and our grandson. He had lots of room to roam. Both the king size bed and the sofa sleeper were very comfortable. It felt like home. The place has been remodeled very nicely and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this condo to family and friends! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip! Debbie was very helpful and nice.

We had a fantastic stay at Debbie's unit in the Waikiki Banyan! Debbie was very easy to communicate with, and she went above and beyond to make sure our honeymoon stay was memorable. This unit is VERY well maintained with gorgeous renovations including granite counter tops and tile flooring. The condo is beautifully decorated and has everything you need to feel right at home. It is very clean and the kitchen is well equiped.The owner is very pleasant and prompt in ensuring that all our needs were met. The location is one block from the beach,very close to the bus stop and a 15 min walk to Safeway which came in handy the days we didn't have a car. The condo has a wonderful view of the ocean. Our stay was absolutely perfect and would most definitely book this condo again.

rented this unit 2/1 - 2/6/2010. Very updated condo but needs a little "warmth" in it as there are too many cold hard edges with all tiled flooring, granite countertops, no drapes. Suggested to owner that an additional chair in living area would be nice for conversation with others along with some type of area rug, even a small one under coffee table would make it feel more "homey" . It was a nice stay - great area, nice pool area and even a sauna which I used. Reasonable rent for the area.....

Owner response:I've ordered two chairs and they should be delivered next week. We agree with you about add a area rug will make our unit more "homey", but we think it is hard to keep the rug clean. We feel very privileged to have visited Honolulu for five weeks in Feb/March 2010 and most especially to have stayed in this condo at the Waikiki Banyan. We have been to Honolulu many times and this is one of the best accommodations we have ever had. The condo is beautifully decorated and has all the conveniences to make it "a home away from home". It is roomy and has all the necessities and more. The owner is very pleasant and eager to ensure all our needs were met. The location is one block from the beach and very close to the bus stop. We were sorry that our time there went by so quickly. We would recommend it to others in a heartbeat, and in fact we've already rebooked for next year. Oh yes, the condo has a magnificent ocean view.

The condo is very neat and in great condition. We find everything we need for our vacation. our family has wonderful time there and we plan to go again in the future. The owner is very friendly and response our request promptly. We felt like being at our home. The location is very convenient to waikiki beach and local grocery stores. It's a little crowded for 6 ppl but very comfortable for 4. I would definitely recommend this unit to my friends.

My son and I rented this unit last week (in November 2009) and loved it! The unit is beautiful, the remodel is great. The place was well stocked and had everything we needed. We rent this unit by the end of September, 2009. That is wonderful. . It is right front of Waikiki Beach with brand-new kichen and bathroom; . At good price compared with the hotels nearby; . good view because you can see the ocean when you sit on the balcony of the unit. A wonderful place at great price ! What more you expect. ALOHA We have just returned from this condo 2 days ago. A Luxury Ocean View Condo the lead says. Truly it is! A great ocean view without having to crane your neck to see it; well appointed also. It delivers everything it says. No disappointments. We have been going to Waikiki for ten years now and this condo is one of two best we have stayed in. The smoothest access upon arrival. No waiting to get anything. You arrive, you go to the suite right away and enter. It is hassle free. A great owner to deal with, our deposit is already being returned as I write this without the usual request and long wait for processing. Hassle free I say! We would recommend this unit and we will return next year at about the same time if the dates are still open when we decide. MAHALO PS: If only the owners could do something about the 2 cloudy days we had! LOL

I'm a resident of Honolulu and recently had planned a wedding for my sister from Seattle and recommended the Waikiki Banyan for her guests traveling from the mainland. I met the owner of this condo during the renovation which was across of my hotel room. She invited me to see it when it was complete. I was AMAZED at how beautiful this unit is. Amenities in this unit is beyond what any normal hotel has. Furnishings is of the highest quality and the view is spectacular. The owner is very pleasant and wanted this unit to be a place where one can really enjoy the ambiance of Hawaii and have a memorable stay in the islands. Yes, this is truly "Paradise" away from home.
