Our house is less than 2 miles from Tahoe City and is a chalet style house. We enjoy the warmth of Tahoe City. It is a wonderful small town that has a lot of character and some fantastic restaurants. We have decorated our house to make it warm and friendly so that you and your guests can enjoy the serene setting of Lake Tahoe.
The kitchen and pantry are upstairs and fully stocked with a very complete set of small appliances, including: electric can opener, blender, electric mixer, toaster, coffee maker and grinder, microwave oven, and toaster oven. The large appliances consist of a big side by side refrigerator, double Dutch oven, stove, dishwasher and double sink. We also supply a wok, pots and pans, dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils.
Living / Dining Area
This is a large area upstairs that includes a dining room with table and seating for 6. Two stools for eating at the breakfast bar are also present. The wood burning stove is in this shared area and is capable of heating the entire upstairs; (we often have to open a window it generates so much heat.) A large sectional couch with a pullout bed and two recliners is in the living area.
There is also a 32” TV, DVD Player, VCR, and a complete Denon surround sound stereo system with 5 disc CD player. The stereo is connected direct to the Satellite Receiver and provides over 30 channels of commercial free CD quality music in addition to standard television programming. The DVD Player and VCR are also connected to the stereo if you enjoy big sound with your movies. Each of the Component Devices is labeled and matches the option on the Denon “Input Select”. There is also a selection of about 50 VHS tapes, a Nintendo 64 Game System and books in the entertainment center.
Upstairs there is also the master bedroom suite. It has a California king bed, dresser and large triple wide closet. There is also a 19” TV in this room. The bathroom has a full bath.
Downstairs there are two bedrooms. In addition to the normal forced hot air heat, each room has it’s own electric heater so that it can be set to individual desired temperature. One room has a queen size bed and dresser. The other room has a bunk bed with a full size bed on the bottom and a twin size bed on the top. This room also has a dresser, large double sized closet, TV, and VCR.

Why the Owner Chose Tahoe City
The Highlands is a nice neighborhood located in Tahoe City, two miles from town. There is a beach close by and it is a 20 minute drive to all the major ski resorts, Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house feels like a tree house because it has the great room and kitchen on the upper floor and it looks over the neighborhood houses to the lake.
Just blocks from the house, you can cross country ski, bike ride, or hike into the back country of North Lake Tahoe.
