Our Centrecourt villa is relatively new to the vacation rental market. It has previously been owner- occupied by my wife and I as a vacation getaway.
The villa is centrally located, within easy, short walking distance to Tennis, Golf, Kayaking, Fishing, Biking Trails, and the Beach. Pool is on site.
Enhanced by newly installed carpeting throughout, the villa is well appointed in a bright and cheerful Beach motif within the gated community of the Palmetto Dunes Resort in the heart of Hilton Head. Hilton Head is regarded as one of the nicest family vacation resorts in the U.S. It has received high praise from Travel & Leisure magazine, as well as considered within the top 100 golf resorts in the country, and #3 Tennis resort ranking in the world.
Our airy 1300 square feet, smoke-free villa offers an open, spacious floor plan. There are two large, private bedroom suites within the villa. Each suite has a spacious bedroom, vanity, dressing area, and bathroom. One bedroom has two queen size beds, while the other bedroom has one queen size bed and a sitting area with an over-size lounge chair and a small desk area. There are Allergy Protectors on all beds. TV and DVD are in each bedroom. One bedroom has HDTV. Our villa has FREE Wireless Internet service throughout.
The bedroom suites are separated by a large, open dining area and a vaulted-ceiling family room to give you and your guest’s complete privacy. In addition to a pull-out couch that can sleep two, the family room has over-sized lounge chairs and an entertainment center with TV and DVD. From the family room, the room opens up to our large and secluded, covered deck, overlooking the 11-mile lagoon. Our deck has a ceiling fan to give you extra comfort on a particularly hot day.
The kitchen area is to the left as you enter the villa. It is fully equipped for your vacation needs including a refrig, dishwasher, disposal, small appliances, dishware, and a washer & dryer. It features a counter area with two bar stools that open into the spacious dining and family room areas.
Our villa is located within a small, private group of villas, called Centrecourt, in the heart of Palmetto Dunes and near the ocean. Centrecourt is ideally situated. In addition to its own private pool, it is just a short walk to tennis, golf, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and clearly some of the best beaches on Hilton Head.
You may choose to relax on our own secluded, large covered deck that overlooks the 11-mile lagoon. The lagoon flows along fern and tree shaded banks as it winds its way throughout the entire Palmetto Dunes Resort. In time, you will see a great variety of wildlife, including Blue Herons, Egrets, Ospreys, and an occasional “gator”, to name a few. Later, you may wish to boat or go fishin’ in this stocked lagoon. Kayak, canoe, even guided fishing charters, are all available at the Palmetto Dunes Outfitters Rental shop, just a short walk (or drive) from the villa. We offer our guests DISCOUNTS on Kayak & Canoe rental.
Did I mention the BEACH??? The beach at Palmetto Dunes is 3+ miles long and is considered by many to be the finest beach on Hilton Head. The Beach is just an easy 5-8 minute walk, or a short drive from our villa- about a quarter mile. Once there, you have free access to the private Palmetto Dunes/Disney Recreation Pavilion with free parking, picnic tables & grill, a snack bar, and restrooms.
If TENNIS is your game, we'll give you up to one (1) hour of FREE tennis per day, plus other DISCOUNTS on tennis activities. There are several, large Tennis court complexes within a very short walk of our villa. About 300 yards from our villa is the Centrecourt Tennis Courts with 8 courts. About a quarter mile further are the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Courts, with 15 clay and 2 hard courts (8 are lighted) as well as special activities such as tennis clinics for adults and children alike.
If you love to play GOLF, you’re in the right place. There are 3 superb courses within Palmetto Dunes, including the Fazio Course, about 500 yards from our villa, as well as Arthur Hills and Robert Trent Jones just a short way down the road. We offer our guests DISCOUNTS on all 3 courses.
All together, there are about 27 semi-private and public courses in the Hilton Head area for you to choose.
If you enjoy taking a BICYCLE ride, this is the place. We offer our guests DISCOUNTS on bike rental.
Hilton Head has miles and miles (about 32 miles) of paved bicycle paths that will take you to large portions of the island. Bikes are also allowed on the Beach. Bring your own bike, or, for your convenience, bike rentals are available at Palmetto Dunes Outfitters Rental Shop, just a short walk from the villa.
If you look forward to a day out SHOPPING, Hilton Head will not disappoint you. Numerous retail shops and boutiques abound throughout the area, to include the shops at Shelter Cove Marina across the street from the main entrance to Palmetto Dunes, as well as the Tanger Outlets just off-island with literally 100’s of outlet stores.
Also, there a number of very good RESTAURANTS nearby. One of the most popular restaurants, Alexander's, is just across the 11-Mile Lagoon bridge near the rear of our villa.

The owners are a pleasure to deal with, and the villa is everything they -- and the other reviewers -- say it is. Among other things, we enjoyed the peace and quiet, the superb location, the abundance of large windows with lovely views, the huge selection of TV & movie stations, and the many amenities and comforts that made this unit feel like home. As we told the owners, we hope to return to HH next year and can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else on the island. Tip: From the villa's parking lot, look behind the tennis courts for the footbridge over the lagoon to The General Store, where you can get your morning newspaper, coffee, and hot breakfast sandwiches. Restaurants we enjoyed included Alexander's and Big Jim's (both a short walk from the villa), Hudson's Seafood, Old Fort Pub (be there for sunset), nearby Stacks for breakfast (fabulous pancakes), and Ruan Thai (just outside Palmetto Dunes). Places & activities we enjoyed included a visit to old town Bluffton and its many art and craft galleries, tennis round robins arranged by the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Club, the Coastal Discovery Museum, a walk through Savannah's historic district (about an hour's drive away), and Calibogue's self-guided tour of Daufuskie Island, which included a scenic ferry ride, a delicious lunch at The Old Daufuskie Crab Company Restaurant, and golf carts to explore the rustic island.Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I recently stayed in this villa for a week long getaway. The villa was clean and the photos are accurate. We really enjoyed the proximity to the tennis facility where we took advantage of the daily hour long free tennis that comes with the villa!! We were also able to walk or bike to the beach. This villa is located on the lagoon, where we were able to enjoy the wildlife. We even had a barred owl land in a tree just off the covered deck. The owners were very helpful with the reservation process and provided a list of restaurants and interests in the area. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The pictures and description of this unit were very accurate. The unit was beautifully decorated and wonderfully clean. We would recommend this property as it was so comfortable, close to the tennis courts, beach and general store for morning paper and coffee. The Wells couldn't have made our vacation any better. They were very attentative to our needs and had a lot of very good recommendations. We enjoyed the old oyster house restaurant and shelter cove marina. What time we were not on the beach, we spent on the back porch. A great view and very private. The villa is very nicely furnished and equipped. We chose to load up the truck and park at the disney pavilion when going to the beach. One could just as easily walk if so desired. We plan on returning again and highly recommend to anyone interested in staying in HH.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Looking for a place to relax with your family, including your beloved dog? This is it! Beautifully decorated villa, comfortable furniture, gorgeous porch overlooking the lagoon, daily dose of local wildlife including alligators, blue heron, dolphins, jelly fish, blue jays, cardinals, and pelicans... Even on a cloudy day, spending time in this sunny villa, will brighten your day and lift your spirits! Our golden retriever, Cammie, joined us, this year and LOVED the daily walks on the beach, just ten minutes from home. It was her best spring break EVER!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I recently rented this unit for fall break and it was great. I have never rented a pet friendly place before and was a little nervous about that, but my concerns quickly vanished as soon as we entered the unit. The unit was extremely clean and had no signs that there had never been a pet in the unit. The kitchen was extremely well equiped and organized. We had a great trip and it was so much fun having our dog with us on the beach. The beach was a short walk, about a half mile from the unit. Thanks again for sharing your unit with us and we look forward to staying there again.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

This condo is great! Comfortable, warm decor & new furnishings, great covered deck, with great folks to rent from. It doesn't get any better than this! Close to the beach, with tennis courts on site. We will rent there again any time we return to HH! This place was perfect for our family of 4. We felt very at home there. The furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything you would ever need, and the private back porch overlooking the lagoon was great. The villa is located in an ideal spot in Palmetto Dunes. You could walk or ride your bike to just about anywhere, including the beach. We enjoyed a lot of time at the pool too. The Wells were wonderful to rent from as well. When we return to Hilton Head someday, we would definitely rent this villa again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great time at this villa. It was easy to locate and really close to the beach. The villa was very clean and the back deck overlooking the lagoon was quite relaxing. The Wells were pleasant to deal with and very accomodating. Everything we needed was at the unit. The area surrounding Centre Court was beautiful. We rode our bikes in the evening at the Fazio golf course where we saw dozens of egrets and blue herons and we saw an eagles nest in a tree on the golf course with three squawking eaglets. Our dog loved playing at the beach and he got to see his first dolphin there. All together, it was an adventuresome and relaxing week. We highly recommend it to anyone.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

About the owner: My wife and I love the ocean and wanted a nice upscale family getaway. We tried many places along the sea coast, but preferred Hilton Head Island (SC) above all. So, when I retired a while back, we decided to purchase a 'second home' for our getaways. We bought a Centrecourt villa in Hilton Head's Palmetto Dunes Resort. It was centrally located and offered easy access to the ocean, boating, golf, tennis, fishing, and yes, lots of shopping. For the past 12 years we have used it for ourselves and our family. And now, with our upcoming travel plans, we will be using it far less. So we decided to rent the villa to folks who would really enjoy it.
Why the Owner Chose Centre Court:
We decided to buy this Centrecourt villa in this location because of its seclusion and the magnificent view of the lagoon from our back deck. Yet, we are only a short distance from the ocean, golf, tennis, even fishing.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Location. Location. Location. We love the idea of taking a short walk and having a choice of outdoor activities so close by. Yet, in the midst of all these nearby activities, we thoroughly enjoy the seclusion while sitting on our back deck overlooking Palmetto Dunes 11-mile lagoon. In fact, we often have dinner or light appetizers on the back deck and spend hours unwinding after boating, golf, or whatever strikes our fancy.
