GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

Guest: Cathy (Grand Junction)
Date of Stay: 08/20/11 Review Submitted: 10/13/11

Close to trails and down town. Easy access to get around. The owner was VERY accomodating and helpful. Due to a medical emergency, I was unable to stay the whole time and she refunded a nights stay. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect condo for those wanting to stay in Lionshead within Vail Mountain. Access to everything we needed -- bike trails, hiking trails, coffee shop, and restaurants. Plus the hot tub had a great view!

Owner response:Mark , glad to hear your stay in the mountains was a pleasant one. We are headed there this weekend for October Fest ! Can't wait ! Thanks Sherrie

Excellent experience at Enzian!

Guest: Amy (Denver)
Date of Stay: 07/09/11 Review Submitted: 09/09/11

We stayed at this property this Summer and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! The owner was very responsive throughout the whole experience and went out of her way to accommodate our requests. We rented the property on short notice and the owner coordinated someone to meet us at the unit to gain entry into the building. The property is very clean and accommodated our family perfectly. I would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful condo.

Great Family Reunion

Guest: Schobie (Waukee Iowa)
Date of Stay: 07/24/11 Review Submitted: 09/02/11

What a wonderful vacation spot and high quality condo unit. Outstanding quality for the price and even better than advertised. Location in Lionshead makes it easy to walk to shops and restaurants as well as having the Vail bus right across the street. Stayed a week and hope to stay two on our next trip. I would highly recommend this Condo to anyone wanting quality and convenience when you visit Vail.

Owner response:Roland, thank you for the nice review. I am so glad the reunion went well. We love it there and hope to retire somewhere in Co. Headed there in a few weeks , "Hotlanta" has been miserable....can't wait !

Wonderful time!

Guest: Deanne (Columbia, Missouri )
Date of Stay: 08/02/11 Review Submitted: 08/17/11

Our family stayed four nights in this property and had a wonderful time. The 3 bedrooms & baths were perfect for us and 4 teenage children. The location was great for walking to the pool, restaurants, bike rental store, shops, and bus stop. We had a vehicle and parking was very convenient- you can park in a covered garage or outside lot. The elevator was easily accessible for unloading luggage and groceries which was very nice! The owner answered all my questions & was helpful with recommending activities in the area. She even allowed us to have a late check-out. We really enjoyed our time in Vail and would stay there again.

Owner response:Thanks for the thoughtful review! We really love the place too and wish we could get out there more ! Atlanta is sooo hot.I would love to hear from you next summer or even this winter for the ski season. Have a great year ! Sherrie

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend with 3 families with small children. It was a great location in Lionshead and very walkable to Gondola and shops/restaurants. The condo itelf is in good shape with a nice new kitchen. Access to the pool across the street was very nice and convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

Owner response:Adreinne, thanks for the great review. I am so glad you had a great time in Vail . I hope the Humming Birds put on a ballet for you guys! Hope to hear from you again. Sherrie

Would NOT rent from this owner again

Guest: Colorado Mommy (Boulder, CO)
Date of Stay: 07/22/11 Review Submitted: 08/10/11

I am a seasoned traveler and have stayed in many condos and dealt with many owners. This condo is fairly run-down and only moderately clean. You get what you pay for as it is in an excellent location, but I was concerned to have my child crawling on the dirty floor. I would not rent this condo again. What was truly concerning was my dealings with the owner. Prior to our stay, I had to follow up repeatedly to figure out how we would get in to the condo, where parking was located, etc. The owner required that we send a deposit check for a large sum, which I did promptly with a note stating that I would like it to be mailed back to me after our visit. When we checked out, she e-mailed and asked if she could just shred the check, and I said no, that I wanted it returned to me and I could send her a self-addressed stamped envelope if necessary. She said it would be no problem. After waiting and waiting for the check, I followed up to ask where the check was and her response was, "oh crap! I shredded it with several deposit checks. So void your account it is truly gone to check heaven." When I responded that I would have to issue a stop-payment on the check which would cost $25, and that I would like her to reimburse that fee as it was her mistake, her response to my very professional request was profane, inappropriate, and remarkably juvenile. I truly wonder how this type of owner ever has repeat guests. She had no concept that I was the customer and that I paid to stay in her condo and that adults need to converse respectfully to one another. Just wanted to let folks out there know what they would be getting in to. And in case you are wondering, she also refused to reimburse me for the stop-payment. I left it at that.

Owner response:In response to this review , I would like to set the story straight.. This guest was given a discount as she stayed only 2 days over a high season weekend. I did her a favor in doing so. A port-a-crib was set up before her arrival, at a day's notice with no extra charge. I allowed the guests to have a late check out at no extra charge. There is a $25 fee for each of these normally. This created problems with housekeeping as she did not communicate to them when her group would be leaving. This created an inconvienance for my next guest. She also took advantage of the garage and parked two cars , using another guests space. The email she sent after her stay was a positive one. No complaints were mentioned. I normally shred all deposit checks as I don't cash them. Her check was accidentally shredded. The very first response to my apology was a very demeaning, lengthy email threatening legal action. She demanded that I send her $25 within 7 days for the stop payment fee she was going to have. That's a great way to start off a business conversation ! I offered to give her as many referrals as she needed to confirm I was trustworthy and that the deposit checks had been shredded. I also told her she could have called me first to discuss things instead of sending a response of that nature. There was absolutely no reason for it. The second response was a nasty, even longer, threatening email. Both were uncalled for, mean spirited and very strange. Most everyone would agree that's not the way to handle simple business problems in the real world. Problem solving should be initiated first before threatening legal action. I have never had a bad review in 6yrs. I have many repeat guests and bookings from all over the World. A good % of my bookings are from referrals. Adults do need to converse respectfully with one another as she said in her review. If she had only followed her own advise we would not have this situation. I have a feeling this young woman has issues everywhere she travels. If accidentally shredding a deposit check is all that has happened to me in 6 yrs.of renting 3 properties on VRBO , then I feel pretty darn good. I feel very comfortable with my decision not to reimburse her for something she chooses to do unnecessarily . I bent over backwards for this guest . .
