My wife and I have enjoyed this area for vacationing for many years. We find it provides us with an escape to a simpler life style and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Being centrally located, it is easy to pick which area you would like to go to. Blue Ridge offers the Scenic Railroad, Hiawassee offers horseback riding, Helen offers great shopping, while Murphy, North Carolina, offers numerous flea markets.

Wonderful get away place where you can truly relax

My husband and I were fortunate to find this lovely cabin available in mid-October 2010. We were hoping to see all the fall colors in their glory and we were not disappointed. This precious cabin was all we hoped for and more in a cabin rental. Super affordable, clean, comfortable, well equipped and quiet. It was perfect for us. IF we were in a position to downsize and didn't have to leave friends and family behind, I could honestly live there forever. Even my husband said "This is all we really need." Immaculate is NOT an exaggeration. The moment you step inside the cabin you'll know what I mean. The cabin was well planned and cozy but not crowded. It felt light and spacious. The all wood interior and tasteful decor just makes you feel instantly "at home". This is a place where you can truly relax and enjoy a slower pace of life. We also found it to be a convenient location to go to many of the mountain area destinations of interest. The owners are wonderful. My husband and I look forward to returning again.
