  Loved this place! Sara was so great to deal with when booking; during our stay and when we were leaving. She & Andrew drove us to the airport and we felt like old friends! The building, pool area, security; front desk were all really more than expected. The location is near the quieter end of the beautiful beach yet close enough to walk to shopping, restaurants, etc. Taxis are readily available and very reasonable. We booked a condo in order to make some of our meals but ended up eating out most of the time as it was so reasonable and very good! Massages on the beach were a delight! The unit is a studio but big enough. It is well stocked and cleaning was excellent (twice a wk included). My only complaint would be the on-site restaurant. The food was the only less than satisfactory place we experienced. Some of the problem was the lack of English speaking staff in the restaurant. The ability to reserve our spot at the pool was a real bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit at the Monarca to anyone.

  We should have know the trip was going to be a dream when we boarded Alaska's "Tinkerbell" themed jet in Seattle. My wife and I had a very short window of time available to get away, and the great reviews put this place at the top of our list. When we were able to squeeze into a break in the calendar - we jumped on it. The unit is terrific for two, the location is amazing, the beach is beautiful, huge, and perfect for long walks. Sara is an amazing host - she picked up fresh foods for us at the local market and had the place stocked when we arrived, allowing us to relax immediately. That was HUGE, since our visit was only four days. It doesn't seem possible to really relax in such a short time, but between the location, and Sara's hospitality we felt refreshed and recharged when we left. The staff at Monarca was very friendly, but the on-site restaurant is only so-so. Fortunately there are excellent restaurants within walking distance, so we were able to satisfy our mexican food cravings - it's hard to find the good stuff in Seattle! Highly recommended!

  We had a very comfortable stay in Sara and Andrew's condo. The furnishings are modern and the condo was immaculate. Any questions or concerns were responded to quickly and professionally. The Monarca grounds and pool are beautiful. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and hope to return soon. Thanks Sara and Andrew, you are wonderful hosts!

  On very short notice Sara and Andrew allowed us to rent their beautiful condo. They were very gracious and helpful, offering suggestions to check out, offering to pick up food and offering to be available at anytime we needed them. The unit was spotless will all the essentials. The complex was beautiful and quiet. Everyone was more than happy to help you from getting your beach cushions to making you dinner reservations. We can't say enough about their professionalism, the unit and Monarca are a beautiful place. Hope to return again soon one day.

  My husband & I have stayed in a hotel in Ixtapa for many years. This property far outdone any hotel stay for quietness, protection and beauty. Sara & Andrew were there for any questions we had in a minutes notice. We definitely plan on going again next year.

  We have stayed at this Condo for 2 years now and love it!! Everything is always clean and maintained. The owner is always helpful and communicates well with us while we are there. We love the place and will continue to rent in the future. We were well taken care of and the people at the building are very helpful and the owners are especially helpful. We would recommend this condo to anyone. We recommend the Marina restuarant (above the fish place); Emilo's, Franks, Blue Shrimp, Mama Norma's and Chile Beans. OUr favorites.

  Just returned from an eleven day stay at Sara and Andrew's condo and hope to have another opportunity in the future! We found the Studio to be quite comfortable and roomy as well as exceptionally clean. You will find both Sarah and Andrew to be very attentive to your needs and appreciative of your stay. You will find the Monarca to be just as beautiful in person as in the pictures provided by Sara and Andrew! From the landscaping,the pool area, the ocean view from your own deck chairs, the pool side service and the convenient restaurant that also has an ocean view!

  A wonderful vacation .Finaly got away from the All Inlusive style vacation and rented this lovely studio on the most beautiful beach in Ixtapa. The accomadation was just perfect for us. Nicely decorated and the kitchen was well stocked with all you needed. The beach was beautiful and the grounds of the condo were imaculate. We could not have asked for a more. Security was great. We made lots of meals in and ate out in Ixtapa when we felt like it. The local restaurants were wonderful. . Sarah and Andrew where great hosts and were always available if we needed something. They live in the area, which is a great advantage if you are renting from the owners. I would highly recommend this property . I will return next year. I just got home this evening and miss Sarah.

  What more can we possibly say that hasn't already been said in the other reviews. Sara and Andrew are awesome hosts, the condo was perfect, we couldn't have asked for anything more on our first visit to Ixtapa. We will be back!
