This cabin is beautiful! This was my first trip to the area and my first time staying in a cabin. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for what we wanted for our honeymoon. It is conveniently located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We visited many attractions during the day and it was nice to come "home" to a relaxing hot tub and fireplace. We followed Randall's directions and found our way with no problems. I recommend everyone to have breakfast at the Old Mill and if you are up for some adventure, check out the zip lines at Firefox Mountains. We did see a bear on the way back from Clingman's Dome. Our first ever bear sighting!

Owner response: Amy, Thank you for taking the time to review Honey Bear Cabin. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope that you will come back and visit with us again soon.
Ok, this IS a little late but I just wanted to put my two cents in on this cabin! This was my first experience staying in a cabin, only my 2nd time to this area. I absolutely *LOVED* this cabin! The owner was such a pleasure to deal with also. My fiance (now husband) and I loved this cabin so much, we plan to return year after year. I did NOT want to leave, this cabin has a feeling of being "home". There is plenty of room, everything was neat and clean, and functional. We didn't see any bears, but we did get to see snow, it was beautiful! If you're looking around at cabins on this site, when you stop here and look at the pictures, know that this is exactly what you're getting.....You'll love your stay here! We certainly did! <3 Melissa & Chris

My husband and I brought our 6 year old daughter to Gatlinburg for a fall vacation. This weekend was extremely busy in town Saturday and Sunday. We had a wonderful time horseback riding at Big Rock Dude Ranch and mining there as well. The Forbidden Caverns are a must. It was absolutely beautiful. Monday we went into Gatlinburg to see Ripley's Aquarium. One of the best we've seen. We all really enjoyed it. Bubba Gumps for lunch was fun. And of course have to stroll thru the Old Smokey Moonshine store. Because of the government shut down we were unable to drive thru the scenic Smokey Mountain National park. We went miniature golfing 2 times at Davey Crocket's because all three of us won a free game to play again. The cabin was comfortable for us. We all enjoyed the games in the loft. The property was private. Randall's directions were perfect to find the cabin the first time. Even in the dark. The hot tub on the back porch was enjoyable after a long day. Great way to relax and unwind. It was fun to watch the squirrels eating nuts in the trees or just swing in the chair. I would recommend this property.

Owner response: Mary, Thank you for reviewing Honey Bear Cabin and also for all of the excellent recommendations for future guest to check out when they are in the area as well. I am sorry about the park being closed during your visit but it certainly sounds like you made the most of your time while in the area. Fortunately for others the park has reopened but you have given me ideas to explore the next time I am up for a visit. Thanks again for our five star review of Honey Bear Cabin.
The owner is very easy to work with! I like that all the fees were included and there was no surprise fees during the billing process. It was a great place to stay and we had no trouble finding the location. Love the location, right between both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Everything was better than expected. We stay in a different cabin every year and this is by FAR the best. Excellent price, excellent location, everything in this cabin is just what we dream about when we head to the smoky mountains. My wife has already said this is where we will be spending our anniversary next year. We arrived early and the owner let us check in early. Owner was prompt to respond to every email through out the whole process and I highly recommend this cabin and owner.

My family needed a getaway and we picked the right place. The cabin was very clean, cozy and comfortable. We did have an issue with there not being a game system in the cabin as advertised but the owner was very accommodating and offered to purchase a new one and have it set up. We decided not to because we actually enjoyed the kids not having their face in a video game and had some family time instead. The cabin had everything we needed. Next time we plan to stay longer than 2 nights...we were not ready to leave. One of our kids left something behind at the cabin and the owner notified us and had it shipped to us. That you don't often experience these days. I recommend Fort Fun in Gatlinburg if you have kids. They have a "do everything" pass for $20.99 (lazar tag, bumper cars, black light golf, gem mining, motion ride, etc..). We also enjoyed the drive into the smoky mountains and walked their nature trails and were able to take some really nice photos. As far as restaurants, you can't beat Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge.

Property was clean and fully equipped. Plenty of room for a family of 4. About 10 minutes to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We like to explore and came down out of the mountain about 4 different ways. I see some folks complained about the driving on the narrow roads. It probably isn't what you are used to, but if you can drive it isn't difficult. Directions were great and our GPS actually worked fairly well. Gas grill didn't work, so we ate out a little more often. It wasn't an issue for us and I'm sure the owner will take care of it promptly, he was easy to work with and very prompt. Had a great time. We would rent it again.

This is a great cabin for a small family or two couples vacationing together. The photos are very accurate and the owner is extremely accomodating. We originally rented another cabin, however had some trouble with the driveway (would be perfect if we brought the jeep). The owner immediately went into action to accomodate us and switch with another family to this cabin. Fortunately they were checking in later in the week and, I'm sure, were very happy to get an upgraded cabin. Yes, the roads can be a little scary, however it is the mountains. We have stayed in the area several times and found access to this cabin no different than any other. The cabin was very clean and well maintained and we had no maintenance issues at all. I would definitely recommend this cabin and would rent again from this owner! We highly recommend trying the ZORB, my family said that was the best attraction of the week (and we did it all). Also, I would highly recommend the Apple Farmhouse Restaurant; after eating out all week it sure was nice to have something close to home cooking and the service is excellent!

About the owner: I just purchased this cabin. I fell in love with it as soon as my real estate agent showed it to me. It is easy to find, easy to get to (no extremely steep winding or narrow roads to navigate) and so close to everything the Smoky Mountains has to offer. I have other properties in the area but think this one will be our personal 'get away' when traveling to the mountains.
Why the Owner Chose Sky Harbor:
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! Sky Harbor is located between both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so it is minutes from either city and the National Park is literally 3 miles from the cabin door. Sky Harbor is not a cookie cutter cabin resort. There are a lot of cabins in the area but they are not all alike and they are not stacked on top of each other plus there is a lot of mature trees to make for privacy barriers. This may be one of the original cabin developments in the area so there are brand new, like new and some older rustic cabins in the area. It is probably one of, if not the most popular rental communities in the area. Staying in Sky Harbor is like staying in the National Park even though it is just a few miles away.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Relaxation,Tranquility,Peacefulness,Togetherness and Fun. This cabin is a perfect family or couples get away.
