Simple Luxury, Exceptional Value in the Heart of Phoenix

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
My home has convenient access to the central and west side freeway systems that include Interstates 17 and 10. A short distance away is the new inner city Lightrail and Metro bus system. Walking distance to Washinton Park and the adjoining Doggy Park, perfect for small and large breeds alike.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Close to all Phoenix/Glendale sports arenas, hospitals, major shopping centers, nature preserves, hiking trails and historic districts. Walking distance to city parks/public swimming pools and dog park.
The Dog Park brings pet owners from around the Valley. Park is divided for large breeds and small breeds. A very easy walk from the House.
Great Breakfast!! Park at the Spectrum Mall Park and Go near the house, jump on the Lightrail and head into Central Phoenix.
Take the Lightrail. Park at Spectrum Mall Park and Go and head into Central Phoenix
Explore the museum’s rich history as one of the Phoenix area’s first cultural attractions, and see how the museum has grown to be one of the world’s finest destinations for learning about American Indian arts and cultures.
Home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Take the Lightrail to the Stadium. Parking is expensive and frustrating.
Home of the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Coyotes
The very nicest public golf course in Phoenix. Seldom any crowds and spectacular views. Well worth the drive.
Closest public golf course. Built in 1935, located in the core of the Historic District, Encanto is the third oldest golf course in Arizona. It sports a relaxed atmosphere enhanced by the course's abundance of mature palm and salt cedar trees, plus some truly spectacular views of downtown Phoenix. William P. Bell designed both the traditional 18-hole championship course and the executive 9-hole course, which is just a block away. Encanto is ideally suited for the average golfer. Its level fairways are wide and it has a limited number of hazards. Amenities include driving range and practice green.
Great hike for the adventurous and physically fit. Phenomenal views of the Valley
As the gentle iron giants wind their way through one of Arizona’s treasures, being onboard makes your senses come alive. You hear the wheels echo off the canyon walls, feel the gentle wind kiss your cheek, taste Arizona’s special blend of fresh air, or spy a majestic Bald Eagle effortlessly floating on a breeze calling for its mate. But the sense most energized is that of adventure…railroad style. verdecanyonrr.com

As a practicing architect living in Phoenix for ten years, I found a wonderful home centrally located that needed a little TLC. I spent the better part of eight years carefully remodeling my home to be the gem of the neighborhood that would entice friends, family and guests to visit a beautiful home with warm colors, lush landscaping in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood.

Our group unanimously thought the house was beautiful, and enjoyed the stay. Altho in an older area, its a good central location, with easy highway access. We had to drive to find restaurants, as there were few in the direct area, and they were mostly fast foods. The owner was immediately accessible by cell once we were in the house. The house instructions were a bit confusing, and should be straightened out, but we were able to call the owner. The sitting areas, bedrooms, and baths were spacious, new, and terrific, and the TV and internets were immediately accessible. The price is good, and we would stay there again.

We traveled to Phoenix in order for my wife to undergo major back surgery and we were very fortunate to find this wonderful home. It is located in an established and quiet neighborhood and very convenient to stores, restaurants, and malls. The home is very nicely appointed and the furnishings are quite comfortable including an office area with computer and internet access which enabled me to work remotely during our stay. This place provided a very quiet and peaceful setting for my wife to recover from her surgery and is very well stocked with virtually everything we needed for cooking, laundry, etc. The owner of this home is terrific he kept in close communication with us from the time of our initial inquiry to the moment we walked out the door for home. We only experienced one minor issue with the television cable upon arrival and the owner immediately corrected the problem despite the need to make several phone calls to the cable provider over a couple of days time. I would highly recommend that anyone travelling to Phoenix for medical reasons, or any reason really, to consider this beautiful and cozy home. I researched many, many properties, hotels, and resorts prior to our trip and this home is an exceptional choice compared to most of them in this price range. When our travels take us back to the Phoenix area our only hope is that it is available to enjoy once again! Thanks Edward!
Owner response:Thanks for your kind review, Warren. I hope you and Julie will return when a pleasure trip brings you to Phoenix. You will always be welcome in my home. Warmest regards, Edward

We spent February and March at this terrific home. It has been beautifully remodeled and tastefully decorated with many high end features. The photos can't really do it justice! The owner has provided many amenities not usually seen in vacation rentals at this price point. When we experienced a completely unforeseeable plumbing problem, he was immediately responsive. The neighborhood is established, quiet, well kept. We enjoyed relaxing and grilling on the sunny deck. We travel with our small dog and the securely walled back yard was great for her. We also walked to the neighborhood park, only a couple blocks away, for some exercise on grass - appreciated by a dog from the midwest- most days. The home is located centrally in the valley with easy access to I-17 nearby. We found we could get to most baseball Spring Training facilities in the area in 30 - 45 minutes, even by surface roads. We also took the light rail, only about 5 minutes from the house, downtown for an event and found it very easy to use. Wal-Mart, Target, Fry's and Fresh and Easy groceries are 5 minutes away, too. (If you don't already have one, get a Fry's shoppers card at their service desk - it will save you a lot.) We highly recommend this rental and would love to stay again!
Owner response:I met Dale and Phyllis at my property and truely enjoyed having them in my home. They took great care of everything and are genuinely wonderful people. I look forward to hosting them again. Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback.

Highly recommend this property. Owner has invested heavily in upgrading the internals of the house. Very nice furnishings. My aunt and I stayed here for 5 days and were very pleased with the accommodations and would stay here again. Very convenient to I17, yet the neighborhood was very quiet with a park within walking distance. Owner was very responsive to a couple glitches out of his control and had them remedied quickly. The two bedroom / 2 bath setup will work for either two couples or singles. Having internet access plus a copier/printer there was a real plus as I was working remote during my stay. The fresh flowers was a nice touch. My aunt really appreciated those. A definite thumbs up.
Owner response:Thanks John, I appreciate your kind review. Please do consider my home for your next visit to Phoenix. I hope your Aunt enjoyed her stay as well. Kindly, Edward
