This large sunny house is the perfect location for a Santa Cruz getaway. Located on a quiet residential street in an exclusive neighborhood, it is just five hundred feet to Sunny Cove beach, known by locals for boogie boarding and skim boarding. The Monterey peninsula and it's twinkling lights are visible across the bay from the family room and spacious deck. The house is walking distance to coffee, market, restaurants, a fantastic farmer's market and the harbor, and easy biking distance to the Boardwalk or Capitola.
Not only does our house have location, location, location, it also sleeps 15 people in beds! It is the perfect vacation house to share with another family (or two). There are three rooms with queen beds (one with an ocean view), one room with a king bed, a small room with a bunk bed, and a very large room that sleeps 6 in bunk beds. It's perfect for all the kids. Our house is 5,000 sq.ft. on several levels. There is an upstairs family room with fireplace and ocean view, and another family room downstairs with fireplace and TV. There is also a game room with a bar.
The backyard has a large concrete play area with basketball court which is also great for roller hockey or skateboarding. Balconies from the bedrooms allow for great views of sunsets.
After coming in from a day at the beach, use the new double outside showers with hot water, and throw your towels in one of two washers and dryers.
**Please note we book weekly, Saturday to Saturday, June through Labor Day weekend. Please contact us for longer term rentals (monthly or longer) September through May.

Our family had an extremely wonderful time staying at your house! It truly is on a quiet street and is walking distance to the beach. The Boardwalk, wharf, other beaches, coffee houses, etc. are also very nearby the place (some within a little further walking distance). The house is beautiful and spacious and had everything we needed for our big group. Everywhere you went there was another bedroom, all beautiful, and plenty of bathrooms and showers for all. The deck is great for relaxing and grilling and the family room and dining room was big enough for all of us to hang out in together. Great amenity to have the outside showers and 2 washers and dryers...we used them all! The teens loved the big screen TV and the ping pong table too. Owners were super nice and helpful too. Thank again for letting us rent your home. The NyhoffsRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Recently, we had the fortunate opportunity to stay in this beautiful home. It was everything we had hoped for and more. This home is extremely spacious! There are so many rooms and areas for both adults and kids, we never felt cramped. After spending the day at the beach, the adults spent most of the time on the deck while the kids were either in the bunk room, the game room or playing basketball in the backyard. The home was very well equipped with all the supplies we needed. And having the skim boards, boogie boards and extra beach towels was an added bonus. Did I mention the view? Amazing! We are reserved for next year already.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at your Santa Cruz rental. It is a great house for children. It is located within walking distance to the beach and has a large room with a ping pong table and air hockey game. The children enjoyed using the skim boards and going to Sunny Cove for a bonfire. The home was very clean with lots of towels and beach towels, had a well supplied kitchen, and lots of parking spaces. The home is very close to a video rental store and near the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The only thing that would have made our stay perfect is if there was TV reception so we could have watched the Giant's baseball game and morning news or if there was at least a radio. The owners were very helpful and pleasant to work with. They were quick to respond to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this home to other familiesRecommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family had a wonderful time at the house. So much room and fun little hiding places for the kids to keep busy. It was so easy to come from the beach with dirty kids..shower outside, then inside and put to dirty laundry directly into the washer without going through the house at all. The kids loved the big tubs, they even set up there army men and barbie dolls in them. The deck is very large and we were very happy that was the house we picked. About the owner: We are a family of five with three boys who live only 30 minutes away from Santa Cruz.
Why the Owner Chose Santa Cruz:
We like the neighborhood feel of Sunny Cove beach and the proximity to other beaches for walking, skimboarding and boogieboarding. World famous surf spots are nearby too. We like to bike to Capitola for lunch or ice cream, to the boardwalk for a few rides, or even out to the Seymour Marine Lab and the state park with miles of trails to ride.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
My family enjoys the beach and the many many things the area has to offer, but we enjoy just as much the time we spend together in our home. Sitting on the deck enjoying dinner and a glass of wine with friends, gazing out at the ocean . . . now that is summer.
