Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2006
This has been such a fun retirement project for my husband. This is a 1938 farm house that he has totally renovated. The home has a great history. He has gone in and remodeled and/or restored everything. All furnishings/appliances/fixtures are new. We love the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area where we have two larger homes that we built for our children and our 4 grandchildren to enjoy. We have made many great memories and hope to make many more. My grandparents always brought me here when I was a child and I want to have those same memories for my grandchildren. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Maggie Valley
We could have not asked for a more suitable place for a getaway. It has everything my husband and I wanted. You are 20 minutes from Maggie Valley and Waynesville. 35 minutes from Asheville and 45 minutes from Gatlinburg. We are located where you can get to anywhere you need, but, also can enjoy the peace and tranquility of country living.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Our home is pet friendly, extremely motorcycle friendly, we both ride, and most importantly grandchildren friendly. Great area to hike and enjoy the scenery.

I have never been in a rental home that is so well equipped with anything and everything you can need! The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub on the back deck was perfectly set so you can hear the waterfall that is behind the home. You can control the temperature very easily and that's awesome when it's 7 degrees outside! The rooms are a good size and we were never cramped. (Group of five people went.) I would 100% recommend it. The only complaint I have is that it's close to a semi busy road, BUT that was also a plus when it snowed because we were able to get out of the driveway easily. The owners were wonderful!! Anytime I had a question, it was answered quickly. Got the deposit back in a very timely manner. Again, wonderful cabin! Thanks for everything!!
Owner response:Thank you for all the nice comments. We do hope that you visit again. Also, hopefully, the road will not be that busy, as it is just a country road. But, with I-40 closed due to a rockslide they have detoured some by the home. This should be completed in a month. Thanks again - Kathy & Stan

I definetly would recommend this cabin to others. The Cabin was very nicely decorated. I would say that this was the nicest and well priced place I have stayed in. If you trully want a peaceful vacation this is definetly the place we had no cell reception at the cabin which made it trully joyful and peaceful week. The hot tub was a nice addition. This was the most peaceful and enjoyable vacation that we have had in a long timje. Thanks, David & Carol
Owner response:Thank you so much for the nice comments. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay. Cell phones are an issue in the mountains, but, there is free long distance calling in the U.S., if you really want to reach out and talk to someone. Hope you visit again soon. Thanks - Kathy & Stan

We just wanted to tell you how much we really enjoyed the cabin. We have rented several houses before and none have been so well equipped and perfect for what we needed. I loved how much the house had to offer. I think we took full advantage of all the appliances the cabin had. It was wonderful. We loved getting in the hot tub while listening to the creek. Although the temperature rarely got above freezing, it was just what we needed. I will definately recommend your cabin to anyone who wants a cabin get away. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home. Thanks again, Andie

Fantastic. Stan and Karen have done a great job on this place. To many good things to say and not a single bad thing to say. This little cabin with the creek, hot tub and front porch will exceed your expectations, as it did ours.
Owner response:Thank you so much. This home is truly a labor of love for us and we are extremely happy to share it with you. Hope you return again soon for another visit. Kathy & Stan

This was a wonderful, relaxing experience in this cabin. It was like new, very clean and cozy. The porches were a treat to sit and visit and watch the fireflies in the evenings and the hot tub was a blessing after 250 and 300 miles motorcycle rides in this most beautiful area. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The business side was very professionally conducted, yet very personal and I will look forward to visiting their cabin again. The waterfall in the backyard and the views were wonderful. There was everything we could have wanted or needed supplied in the cabin and all like new. The cabin's decor was so cute and it was obvious that a lot of thought, time and expense has gone into making this little cabin a relaxing retreat. Thanks so much for letting us visit your cozycreekcabin.
