This was my second stay at your cozy, comfortable studio. Again, my stay was all that you advertize and more. I found the studio to be exceptionally clean and neat, nicely decorated, and you provided everything needed for my stay. I do cook almost all meals in and I found everything I needed to cook almost anything. I appreciated the nice size and great reception of the tv. Also, there was more than sufficient light for reading. As an added feature for me, across the street where the Whale Santuary is located, there is a small, but mostly deserted beach; a great place to watch the sunset each evening. If I am fortunate enough to be able to afford another visit to Maui, I will be staying with you again. Thanks for providing a studio that is all that it is advertised to be at a reasonable price.

Once the unit got cleaned up we were very pleased. Having the pool was great and location could not be better. Owners are very responsive to guest needs.

This place is so comfortable. This was our second stay. Everything is there you need. Decorated to island enjoyment. It is very clean and the price is unbeatable. The hot tub and pool are kept very clean as are the grounds. Everyone there is helpful and courteous. Our host family is the best and I feel that I've met them.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

a great studio apt..right across street from ocean..lovely parks and beautiful sunsets..we got so many wonderful photos of sunsets..the room is great,loved the extra pillows..thanks! its clean and well stocked with any kitchen item you would need.loved the fresh pineapples..lots of neat places to eat,and lots of outdoor markets,craft fairs..watched lots of surfers,wind sailing,and boats..in hawaii they are so nice..loved outback steak house,threes restaurant..and cafe o'lei..yummy cinnamon rolls too..we will be back to hawaii..thanks again diana

Diana, I don’t know how to thank you enough for making your comfortable and immaculate studio available to me and others to enjoy while vacationing in Maui. I hesitate to rave too much, as often people and businesses will raise rates if their particular services or product is much in demand, but I would be remiss if I did not tell you how much I enjoyed my stay in Unit 113 Kihei Bay Surf. Most important to me, the unit was immaculately clean, and I guess you have Jennifer to thank for doing such a good job for you. Out of appreciation I tried to leave the unit as clean as possible, without doing a professional cleaning myself. Important to me, also, were the fact that the unit had plenty of light, particularly in the living room/bedroom area. I read a lot and loved the fact that there was sufficient light for reading as well as plenty of light overall. As a “budget traveler”, I cooked all but one meal in the studio, and I found everything I needed for preparing my meals; just like I might have been at home. I don’t watch much TV, but appreciated the fact that you provide a nice size television with excellent reception and plenty of cable channels available for those times when I wished to watch news, the visitor channel or other programming. Also, I had asked you about the bed, and as you stated, I found the bed to be just perfect; not too soft nor too hard. Your choice of sheets and bedspread felt very comforting and homey. Somehow you have created an atmosphere in your home where one feels immediately “at home” when first entering. I feel that you and I may be alike in many ways. In future visits to Maui, I hope your unit will be available to me again. I see that you are booked up way in advance, but I am hoping that if I am able to visit again next May, (or maybe sooner) that your unit will be available. As long as I am able to visit Maui, it would be my wish to continue to enjoy your hospitality. I will be happy to leave a much shorter version of this message in the guest comments, if you wish. We were so glad to find your condo, it was just what we were looking for. Neat, clean, and right by the beaches. We would go across the street and watch the sunset and met the nicest people doing the samething. We can't thank you enought for the opportunity to stay in your condo. We went to get away from the husle of the everyday pressures and to recharge our batteries, and this is the place to do it. The condo had everything we needed, and the extra thing you left for us to use (beach chairs, towels, buggy boards and even a cooler. You truely thought of everything to accomedate your guests, and thats how we felt. Again thank you, we will come back again. :) :)

My 2nd stay in Diana's condo was just as delightful as my first. She informed me of the renovations being done before any money changed hands, so the construction on the lanai was no surprise to us. We even got to joke about it, the "waisaw'alldai", the Hawaiian bird of improvement, and took the renovations in stride. The money we saved staying here allowed us the luxury of spending 17 glorious days combing the island, with nights filled with homemade kalua pig and barbecued steaks. Nightlife and the highway were minutes away, but not too close to take away from our Maui mood. Even if my traveling budget were DOUBLED, I would still choose Diana's condo and more time on Maui over the high end resorts. I can't wait to use the new and improved lanai next visit! Hi Diana I wanted to thank you again for the rental of your family's condo in Kihei. We had such a wonderful time! There was so much to see and do that we just ran out of time. Oh well, I guess that means we need to start planning our next visit there. :) Even Craig, who I had a hard time getting into the planning of a trip so far from home, was amazed at peacefulness and beauty of Maui and appreciated every minute we were there. We ventured all over the island, and came to the conclusion that when we come for a visit next time...Kihei will still be our home base. Your condo was just what we were looking for! It was clean, cozy, comfy, and close to just about anything we needed. And yes, when we went over to visit my brother and his wife who were staying at the Whaler at Ka'anapali, their condo room was fancy and the view beautiful. But you know what? The atmosphere just didn't feel very welcoming to visitors. From the employee at the entrance gate to the hotel lobby attendant, we just felt looked down on and uncomfortable. Not our idea of a low key relaxing vacation. So thank you again for sharing your slice of paradise with us. It was the perfect way to commemorate our 30th anniversary!

I planned this trip as a X-Mas present for my two daughters over a year ago. Diana was great to work with, she had no problem modifing my original dates, to match the actual dates of the plane tickets I got from my Frequent Flyer Miles. After holding my plane reservations for two months, the airlines changed their flight schedule. Which effected my stay again and Diana was again able to accommedate the change. The unit was perfect for my needs. Very clean, comfortable and pefectly located for on the island. My kids and I did alot of scuba diving while we where there. The unit is located on the ground floor which made moving our diving equipment very easy. Diana, Again Thanks! I'll be intouch with you again on our next trip down to Maui. Scott

This is a real find for Maui. The price is great. And the bed was great. The complex is friendly and clean and has easy access to all Maui's great wonders. If you just want to hang out inside, you might want something different, but if you are here for the Maui experience you couldn't find a better place. Mahalo, Diane. My first of 6 weeks on Maui was spent in this cute unit, and yes the beach is right across the street, less than 50 paces. This location was excellent for us, away from the hustle of bars and Kam beaches and easy to find after long drives exploring the island. Well equipped for light travelers, this unit is perfectly located in the complex, away from the road, and just the perfect size and accomodations for 2 people (maybe a child, too). Overall, it was an excellent value for my vacation dollar. The a/c came in handy on hot afternoons, the full ice bowl in the freezer upon our arrival was a nice touch, and the broom came in handy when we tracked in a little sand. Thanks for the use of the unit Diana, and you'll probably be hearing from me again in December!

Hi Diana, Thanks so much for all your help as we made plans to visit Maui. We found your condo to be clean and to have everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable- very important for aging bones. And there was a great beach for long walks, watching for whales nearby. We spent a whole week snorkeling the beaches to the south of Kehei and loved being so close to them. I was impressed when you e-mailed us before our arrival to see when we'd be arriving, in an attempt to allow the folks who were staying there before us to stay later since they had a late flight. Not many folks would bend over backwards, changing cleaning schedules to help in this way. We definitely have your condo on our list of places to recommend to friends and to hopefully return to some day soon. Jan & Bill

Diana, thanks so much for sharing your condo with us. We had a really nice stay. The condo was very comfortable and clean. The location was prefect for us, since we wanted to go to the Crater and Hana hwy. And it wasn't far at all from the best beaches in town.

Diana, We just wanted to write a line or two and let you know how much we ejnoyed our Maui vacaction and your condo. When we first arrived at the condo, we checked it out and the unit itself was well kept and clean and everything worked fine. More than comfortable! We toured the grounds and the swimming pool area and WOW!!! A pool and hot tub that were in great condition and the water was well maintained!! The Barbeque area was top notch too!! We took advantage of the pool and spa every day. We grilled out a few times and just chilled at the condo and we couldn't have asked for a better set up area. Grills, tables and countertops to use for prep work, perfect!! Everything really was more than we could have hoped for and we wanted to let you know that. Your willingness to talk with us, help us with your tips and suggestions was a big part of our decision to rent with you, thank you. We enjoyed going over to Kalepolepo park (sp?) and watching the whales each day and talking with the guys there, who were very helpful and willing to teach us about the whales. We also met several of the owners of the units there at Kihei Bay Surf and they were generous with their time to welcome us and offer their thoughts for the area as well!! The island itself and the people have made memories for a lifetime for us! I could go on and on. Your condo was the best choice of accommodations we could have made there!!!
