Casa Sonrisa is nestled in the fishing village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, on the Riviera Nayarit. Our town is proud to be the location of the third Marina/ yacht harbor on the Bay of Banderas. Casa Sonrisa is two years old, with two separate stories.
Owners reside in upper level while the first story is fully equipped as a vacation rental. Spacious one bedroom unit with queen bed, large living room with hide a bed, kitchen and large dining room table are yours to enjoy. The pool and patio beckon you to barbeque or just relax with a good book and margarita. Casa Sonrisa is furnished with excellent linens, well crafted Mexican furniture. We provide for your comfort, wireless internet, cable, air-conditioning and usage of owners Vonage phone line to call to the USA.
Enjoy our pool or take a 10 minute walk to the swimming beach. La Cruz has excellent restaurants, many of which offer live music. Or for the more adventuresome, select your own "fresh catch" of the day at a local pescaderia (fish market) to prepare in your kitchen or to barbeque on the patio. After dinner, a walk to the town square might be in order.
La Cruz is half hour from the Puerto Vallarta airport, located on Riviera Nayarit which boasts pristine beaches and small beach towns to enjoy during your vacation.

Year Purchased: 2007
I am a baby boomer as is my "boyfriend". We would love to share Casa Sonrisa with other baby boomers. We are both from the San Francisco bay area but fully moved to La Cruz for now.
Why the Owner Chose La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
We loved the quaintness of our village but also the fact that it would be growing and developing as the third marina on the Bay of Banderas has been built in La Cruz. We are close to Puerto Vallarta and all that it offers, but happy to be able to return to our quiet town without the throngs of people and honking car horns! We wanted to be in a town, not a gated community.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We are in a small fishing village with great neighbors. We walk to the swimming beach which has wonderful restaurants and palapas to enjoy the warmth of the sea. Daily, we select our fresh fish and enjoy trying different types of fish as recommended by the fisherman.
