Location: McGregor, Minnesota, USA (Located Just Two Hours North of the Twin Cities)

Accommodations:  Home, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

Waves gently hitting the level, swimmable sandy shore, the soulful call of the loons, and the smell of an evening campfire. Our home, built in 1998 has 2 bedrooms, a loft, 2-baths, and a level lot with sandy beach. One king bed, two queens, and a full futon. Fully equipped with refrigerator-freezer with ice maker, electric range, microwave, dishwasher, laundry, gas grill and many other appliances. We have a phone, wireless Internet, IPod dock, and a projection machine for big-screen movies on the wall. This stunning A Frame home is spotlessly maintained and has an amazing lake view from every room but one. Our goal is to provide you with everything you will need for your vacation at the lake, without the hassles of cabin ownership.

Big Sandy Lake is just 7 miles north of McGregor, MN. It is a 6,500 acre lake with several bays, 25 islands and over 78 miles of sandy shoreline. Big Sandy is famous for its large pan fish and the DNR has stocked the lake with walleyes. We often times catch the biggest fish right off our dock. We have full Western exposure for unbelievable sunsets. Enjoy our 96’ dock with 8 x 12 sundeck, including built-in seating. (Our dock and beach are private). We have a super rope swing the kids love right out front. Use of our canoe is included and you can tie up your boat to our dock.

Two awesome nearby attractions are the Savannah State Forest and the MN National Golf Course. Take time to enjoy hiking, walking or snowmobiling at Savannah – or enjoy the brand new 27 hole championship golf course … both are located just minutes up the road.

Other nearby activities include swimming, canoe/kayak, fishing, biking, tennis, miniature golf, boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, MN Wild Winery, the Big Bear Casino (40 minutes away) and more.

Winter Wonderland! With outdoor fires; hot chocolate; snowmobiling; ice skating; ice fishing and sledding. You can access the most beautiful snowmobile trails from right out our front door (just down the river to Savannah)!

Restrictions: No pets, no-smoking. (you are welcome to kennel your pet in the garage or outside). No young adults without parents please - we do have a year-round neighbor who keeps an eye on our place.

  • This was a wonderful place for a family vacation! The house was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. The grounds are well maintained and we loved being outdoors enjoying the yard games, the warm water, sandy beach and the bonfires with s'mores in the evening. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place. The sunsets were beautiful! Thanks Stacy and Dave for sharing your home away from home.

  • We were their first renters! We loved the place! The pictures don't do it justice! The loft overlooking the solid wall of windows that face the lake was beautiful. The home is very well maintained, with the best coffe maker on Big Sandy Lake! We have 4 little kids, 7 and under, and they spent hours playing at the sandy beach, jumping off the dock, and canoeing. The water on the far end of the dock was only 5 ft. deep, so they loved playing and jumping anywhere off the dock. The lake water is clean and not too cold with a sandy floor. The long tree swing was a hit for the kids as well. Dave and Stacy were easy to work with and very accomodating. We loved our stay! Thanks Dave and Stacy!
