In the heart of Chianti region, in 25 minutes you can reach Florence, with its museums, palaces and shops. And, after having spent a day in the city, you will enjoy coming back to this villa, to its quietness and to the surrounding nature. Restoring the interior has been a really painstaking job, both in the furniture and in the architecture. The Villa is plenty of space: while it can guest up to 12 people, all the rooms are extremely large, and there are wide living areas where you can spend a pleasant relaxing time warmed by the fire in the fireplaces. The COLONICA Villa is surrounded by a wonderful park, that is at the guests disposal and where the swimming-pool is located, together with barbecue facilities. This is the ideal place to spend your days of relax.

Casa La Colombaia is a true farm-holidays managed by a family of true farmers. From generation to generation, the Zannelli family has cultivated vines and olive-trees in their farm called "Azienda Agricola La Cappella", of which is part the farm-holidays "Casa La Colombaia". Actually the farm, together with the holidays-houses, is managed directly by the youngest member of the Zannelli family, Mrs Gianna Zannelli, aged 33, helped by her uncle Antonio, her parents Luigi and Giuliana and her brother Riccardo.
Why the Owner Chose Montespertoli
On January 2002 we began to restore the Colonica (the main farmhouse) and the Fienile (the hayloft), both previously used as storehouses. Actually, the Agriturismo Casa La Colombaia consists of both the restored Colonica and Fienile. The Agriturismo Casa La Colombaia is surrounded by an immense green park more than 2000 squared metres large, where the swimming pool is located (the swimming pool is 6 x 12 metres and the water inside is from 1,20 m to 1,80 m deep). Floors and ceilings in cotto-stone, beams in chestnut-tree wood, fireplaces and stairs in serena-stone, walls handicraft painted with putty knives, banisters and accessories in wrought iron, a furniture in the typical Tuscan country style: all this welcomes the guests in these true farmhouses. A careful renovation has preserved and restored the original structures and materials, maintaining these rooms loaded with the memories and the history of the generations of Chianti-people that have lived here in the past. Generations of farmers who, everyday for years, have tilled the soil of this piece of Tuscany. These people would have been happy to know that, the houses that have represented their sweet, quiet home places, today have become the places for your relax and happiness. " ... It would have been easy for us to get 10-12 rooms or 7-8 small apartments out from the Colonica and the Fienile, but this is not our style and this is not our concept of farm-holidays. In fact, we do not want and we do not wish to change our farm in a sort of "holiday-village". We love the quietness of our hills and to living following the succession of the seasons ... and we believe that this same opinion is shared by our guests too!"
