Why the Owner Chose Union Pier
We have made Harbor Country our home for 20 years and have owned the cottage and my Slipcover Shop for 10 years. The cottage has been updated in 2007 and has had many happy repeat renters through the years. We really love the area for its down to earth laid back feel but there is always just enough action, friendly faces entertainment to keep it a little interesting too.

This cozy private cottage which rests behind the Slip Cover shop in Union Pier was perfect for me and my young daughter. It was bright and cheerful with a nice color palate and high ceilings in the kitchen...but best of all, it didn't break the bank. It's very close to everything and the perfect walking distance from the beach to ensure a little exercise. FYI it does not have a dishwasher or washer/dryer but there was only two of us so I didn't have much clean up and the owner was nice enough to let me do a small mid week load of laundry at the Fabric shop next door. Thanks so much for the wonderful and peaceful vacation...can't wait to see you again next year... if not sooner!

We stayed here last year for a weekend in September. It was perfect size for family of 4. Very nice kitchen and everything you need. We are looking for a place to stay again for a weekend in September and this is on top of our list.

We had a lovely week at this cottage. Looking for a reasonable comfortable place to stay in Union Pier for a family of four then this is the place. A bike ride to the beach or around town provided the kids a great time. Close to all amenities. Comfortable living room, large kitchen - easy for cooking a full meal, a great deck for grilling and lovely slipcovers from the owners next door store accented the cottage. You can't beat this place for location, price and comfort and Marjolein is an amazizng grcious hostess!
