Welcome Ya'll!!! Lake Oconee is the ultimate family gathering getaway spot, located close to Atlanta. With all the amenities you could need, Lake Oconee has a little bit of something for everyone.
Our large 5,000 S.F. Lake Front House is ready for any size family gathering. The spacious 7 bedroom, 6 bath house, is located on the best Fishing Spot on Lake Oconee, just ask any local fisherman, and they will tell you, our point lot is the best spot.
We have had many family reunions here at the lake and with this large of a house, it is so easy, and fun for the entire family.
The walkout first level is great for the larger groups, its almost like two homes in one.
The pool table is always a fun break from the lake activities.
There are two master suites with private baths, the other bedrooms are a king, queen, two twin beds, and two pull out couches.
There is a family of geese and ducks that live around the house, and great for the kids to feed.
While we are not the Ritz, we do try very hard to make each of our guests feel right at home.

We stayed at the lake houselast year, and could not wait to return this year. The house still was a perfect getaway spot for our large family. We love cooking and spending time on the porch, especially in January, it was still amazing weather! The new 7th bedroom was great news, and it allowed us to invite an extra family couple who shared the large home with us. The house is so large, its like having two private homes together. It is also super nice to have Publix right up the road, everything is so convenient. thanks again Ashton for helping us have a great time on Lake Oconee. Allison

My sisters and I rented this beautiful home over the MLK weekend for our annual family reunion. I must say that it was the perfect location for our family get together! The house was the perfect setting for the adults to enjoy themselves on the upper floor while the young ones played video games and pool on the lower level. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend this home to anyone! It is so convenient to everything. We thank you for making this a most memorable weekend for our entire family.

Upon our arrival we initially found eight dead cockroaches, at which time I called owner about that and the fact that the coffee maker did not appear cleaned. His response was,"well at least we know our pest control works." He later said,"Pests are just a part of the lake house" As family (five households, four generations) arrived for the Thanksgiving week, we found four more dead roaches. Our oldest daughter then found a live spider in the bed of her three-year-old daughter as she put her to sleep. In preparation for my third daughter’s arrival we unfolded the hide-a-bed. There was a dead roach folded into the mattress.Needless to say, she did not sleep there, so she slept the entire time on a coach in the great room. Two days later my mother-in-law killed a live roach in the powder room and my second daughter found three more dead roaches and several live spiders in the basement bedroom level. The third day we saw several ‘baby’ roaches in the kitchen, we assume those eggs that survived the pest control and hatched. While our family enjoyed the location and outdoor portion of our stay—in part because of the lovely weather allowing us to—we were increasingly uncomfortable inside the house because of the insects. As the weather turned and we were forced to remain indoors, everyone, especially the mothers of the crawling infant and toddlers, were constantly on edge lest a baby find and pick up a dead roach—despite our best efforts to locate all we could—and worried about further spider bites.Sunday night the four-year old in the basement bedroom woke with an insect bite to her eye; we assume it was a spider. This was the final straw. For this and other reasons(one oven was missing a dial: we had to find pliers to work it/the electric stove burners were slanted and worked unpredictably) we decided to leave two days early. This house was once grand. But now it is roach/spider infested and not well maintained. I think with the original appliances. If you have a Frat party planned or a guy weekend where all you plan to serve are chicken wings or pizza-go for it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
Owner response:While we are not the Ritz, we do try very hard to make each of our guests feel at home. We openly welcome feed back for the home, that will help us make other guests stay better each time. The above mentioned stay was just one of those visits that the guest could not be made happy. The guest called us at 9pm on Thanksgiving night, and at that time, we did talk and mentioned that I could have the housekeeper come back over to check on the home, but it would not be that Holiday night at 9pm, it would be the next day. I assured the guest that our house keeper did come to the home two days in advance of their stay to clean. The home is a three level 5,000 S.F. home, a few small dead bugs might have been in the home, but thanks to their call, we now have a new Pest Service who is doing a wonderful job for us now. Again, we do our best, but we are not the Ritz. The house was NEVER infested, that is just a choice of wording the guest used. We have ALWAYS had pest control, and we hope our new crew does an even better job. We have had many guests who have cooked, and hosted large family gatherings in the Kitchen, again, it all goes back to an individuals expectations, and we place all the videos, and photos on the site, so you can make the call for yourself. As always, if anyone has any questions on the home, we are always here to answer them via email or phone.

Hi Ashton! Thank you for letting us rent your place last week. The team did think it was a better setting than what we usually do with management offsites in hotel settings. Having this beautiful lake setting is a lot better. We ate out for lunch and dinners and enjoyed it. Silver Moon was interesting with wine list pricing less than what you can buy in stores... In summary, we had a great meeting.

The home and location on beautiful Lake Oconee is stellar, large, and the views are breath taking. Unfortunatly being a rental home it has not been kept up well. The house was not cleaned well, the grill was so dirty it couldn't be used, the carpets were dirty, and the walls should be scrubbed and painted. We communicated this to the owner, but I'm not sure our feedback was well received. Since I own a home at Lake Oconee and we rent another every year for our annual Family Reunion these comments are important. Again, I can't say enough about the location and core structure of the home, it just needs some TLC!!!
Owner response:We now have a new maid service. While the home is a rental home, we are thankful for all the wonderful guests that enjoy the home as much as we do!

Great experience. We stayed for a week from 7/3 to 7/10 with 3 couples and several kids, with other friends and family in and out during the week. The house was great. It was large enough to allows groups to gather to watch TV or movies or share meals, and spacious enough to allow you to find your own spot to get away as a couple or to be by yourself to read or relax. Very nicely furnished with 3 levels, the house offered multiple sitting areas, an open porch, covered porches, and a nice big lot with plenty of sun or shade depending on your preference. Even with the owner’s boat on the lift at the dock, it was large enough to accommodate 2 other boats moored at the dock, and we tethered 3 wave runners to a floating buoy we secured in the cove in front of the house. You can swim off the dock or walk out to deeper water from a sliver of sand or 6 to 8 inches of water at the seawall. Fish off the dock or all around the seawall. Great house, convenient location for both on or off the water activities, and very accommodating owner to work with. Happy to recommend.

This home is amazing! It is so spacious and perfect for big groups. The view is spectacular from every angle. We loved sitting on the porch, playing football in the yard, cooking big meals in the kitchen, and being cozy by the fire. I would definitely recommend staying here.

What a great home!!! It was so large our family vacation was great. And the lake,, it was perfect. Lake Oconee is so close to Atlanta which, and it was easy for us to find. I was happy to find that there was a new movie theater for the kids on a rainy day, and a Publix shopping center. thanks again, ready to come back this summer! Allison
