2 BEDROOMS APARTMENT WITH 2 TOILETTES Follow me. Come and merge with the very heart of Rome. With the pride, the skill, the strong meaning of public spaces of the ancient roman culture. With the wealth, the power, the leisure of a Renaissance Cardinal, cousin to the very Pope. The Pantheon, the dome, under which even the ever quarrelling deities made Peace. The Palace, the loggia, the rich courtyards, the elegant staircase made for the living and the private meetings of the very inner circle of the papacy.
Walk the “Magic Triangle”. Enjoy the large pedestrian area in the middle of which the flat lies, between Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, where you can witness the majority of our art and architecture and you can follow the last trails of the Italian way of life. THE PALACE Our flat is part of a palace built in the 16th century, for a Cardinal Giovanni Salviati. Giovanni was born in Florence, in one of the most rich and powerful families of all Europe. His mother was a sister of Lorenzo de’ Medici.Following his classical education, Cardinal Salviati had his Palace built in front of the Pantheon. He asked for two courtyards, one for himself and his guests and one for stables and servants. He had a loggia in his courtyard, so he could be in the open air, in the shade. He longed for a Renaissance style Palace, due to his wealth, culture and status. On top of his palace, he had an impressive classical cornice, decorated with rosettes, fifty two of them, all different from one another. And travertine framed doors, with triglyphs. And such an inheritance he left us. THE FLAT Situated under the roof, the entire flat enjoys a ceiling of bricks and wooden beams, roman style, the same you can see under the Pantheon’s pronao and entrance. This gives the flat a true character of ancient architecture and a warm approach to the space.
From a comfortable chair by the window, you can sip your coffee or drink your glass of red wine looking at the Pantheon, at the moon over the dome and at the seagulls flying over it.
Just as the Cardinal did. Except for the seagulls, of course, since only very recently they have chosen to live in the city.2 BEDROOMS APARTMENT WITH 2 TOILETTES. THE LIVING ROOM This will be your very own personal “Italian Piazza”, during your stay. With stairs to sit on, and an “upper promenade”, with a view.In the silent darkness of the night you can follow the moonlight entering from the oval window and leaving its trail on the floor. You can listen to music, lying in the “cosy corner”. Or you can sit and look out of the low window, at life going on in the real piazza. There’s always people sitting on the fountain’s steps, and you can look at its crystal blue waters. Or, if you wish, at the crystal blue glass of our kitchen’s worktable, sniffing the sweet and spiced aromas of food, while your dinner gets prepared. This is why we left the cooking and house-working space open to the “piazza”. It will be easier to interact with the cook since he or she will not be alone while using our fully equipped kitchen. When tired of your sightseeing, you can relax on our suspended chair or have a go on the swing. Or sit at the dinner-table, obtained from a vintage wooden drawing- table, a first in its kind. You can place your computer on it, should the need arise. But you will surely like it best while chatting and eating with family or friends, in the quietness of the flat, pleasantly warm during the winter, refreshingly air-conditioned in summer.THE NEST (the main bedroom)This is the most private place, the inner core. The roof is nearer, the Pantheon at your window. The Palace’s big cornice will guarantee your peace. The smoothness of the warm colours chosen for you is enhanced and made livelier by African cloths of glorious autumnal pastels. At the bed’s headboard four pillows will embrace your slumbers. A soft sensuality, perchance. THE RED VESSEL The colours of Pompeii. The modernity of a red bathtub. A shower in a circle. A pale-blue glass sink, Italian handmade craftsmanship, that resembles mother-of-pearl. This is the nest’s private bathroom.
THE BUNKBEDS ( the second bedroom)It is well true that you are in Rome, and near the Pantheon, but it is not for everybody to spend a night in a temple. A Vitruvian one, moreover.
This bed is an unique thing. It was designed and realized especially for the flat. From the original drawings the architect Vitruvius made in the mid-20s B.C., thus creating an architectural text of Hellenistic monuments. He presented this text to the emperor Augustus. You or your children will be delighted to sleep in beds made in the image of the very first Classical Temple created by mankind in ancient Greece. Such temple will be subsequently (in roman times) called by Vitruvius a “Tetrastilo in Antis”. Which means that it had an inner cell (the Naos) for the god, four columns at the back (tetra meaning four and stilo meaning column, in the ancient greek language), and two columns at the front (in antis).
Many temples will follow this first small one, as you will be able to see, in your journeys in the classical culture. But the first is always a first. And the Naos will be your bed.
A BATHROOM IN A CIRCUS ( the second bathroom) There is always a trick. Don’t be shy and look in the mirror. The answer will be an infinite repetition of yourself. Never ending crystal balls will shine over your head in a row of light and gleam. A net of red stripes will, at your command, embrace you and the drops of your shower. The location has no need of introduction, You are right at the pantheon which mean if You want to go to Piazza Navona You have to walk for 200 mt, To go to piazza Campo de' Fiori 400 mt, Trevi fountain 400 mt, Parliament 200 mt, Senatus 100 mt, the amazing Jewish Ghetto 500 mt....Rome is all at your feet

I love travelling so this is not really a business because It is a pleasure to offer what i would like to receive when I go abroad. I personally welcome my friends because not all the people have the chance to come in town 2 or 3 times in life so showing the best places and also short cuts in order to save time for me it is worthless. When I'm abroad I usually find the best bar the day before leaving, with me You will find before coming.
